A MESSAGE FROM THE TOURNAMENT CO-CHAIRMEN
Welcome supporters and friends to the 23rd Annual Scholarship Golf Classic of the 100 Black Men of Stamford, Inc. (“100 BMOS”). We are extremely excited that you chose to spend the day with us at the fabulous Rockrimmon Country Club for a wonderful day of golf for a worthy cause.
The 100 BMOS works tirelessly to improve the quality of life for all in the communities we serve. Intergenerational mentoring, educational enrichment including college preparation, and merit-based scholarships are part of our singular focus. Our mission is to transform the lives of disenfranchised youth – especially African Americans in Fairfield County, Connecticut.
Our chapter blends together a talented group of strong, focused and empathetic men to support the emotional and academic growth of Fairfield County youth. We sincerely thank each of you – our cadre of sponsors, golfers, friends, colleagues and community partners – for your generous and unwavering support for the 100 BMOS mission.
We will honor outstanding students that are becoming dynamic and inclusive leaders. It takes a tremendous amount of work to coordinate this day of fundraising. Thanks to the leadership of Golf Co-Chairmen – Olivier Kpognon and Stacey Epps – and the entire Golf Committee that have worked unceasingly to make this day wonderful for all.
We really appreciate your continued support of our mission and hope that you have a phenomenal day!

The 100 Black Men is a national organization founded in New York City over 20 years ago. It has over 100 chapters globally. The idea was to create a group of African American men who intended to make a difference in the lives of kids.
Our chapter, The 100 Black Men of Stamford, Inc., was founded in 1993, as a non-profit community action organization comprised of successful men committed to improving the educational and economic conditions for African Americans and others in need, with a particular focus on the development of youth. We are an affiliate of the 100 Black Men of America, Inc.
As our world continues to change, nurturing young people is the best way to ensure the success of our collective future. Guiding today’s youth in becoming well-educated prepared adults is a moral imperative and practical benefit to our whole society.
Scholarships
Since 2002, 100 BMOS has awarded 75 scholarships totaling $200,000 to talented high school seniors entering their first year of postsecondary studies. These students hail from public and private high schools based in lower Fairfield County. Recipients have successfully matriculated into prominent colleges and universities such as Hampton University, Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Spelman College, Syracuse University, Temple University, and the University of Connecticut.
