April 9 & 10, 2027 JOIN OUR 38TH ANNUAL CELEBRATION OF AUTHORS One of Fort Lauderdale, Florida’s most highly anticipated literary events! The Broward Public Library Foundation supports the Broward County Library system, which is among the largest in the U.S. The Literary Feast has been the Library Foundation’s signature fundraising event since 1988. Over the years, this event has connected South Floridians with more than 500 highlyacclaimed authors. Through the generosity of sponsors, dinner hosts, and guests, Literary Feast has raised $5 million for vital Broward County Library programs and services for children and teens. From 5:30-7:30 p.m., some 350 attendees have the opportunity to meet each author, purchase books, and have them signed. The reception includes a mobile silent auction, and open bar and hors d’oeuvres. The reception will be held at The Westin Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort, the beachfront resort where the authors will also be staying.

FRIDAY NIGHT AT A GLANCE
FRIDAY, APRIL 9, 2027 LitLIVE! is an event open to the South Florida public, with book sales and signings encouraged. The free LitLIVE! event features authors speaking about their books in moderated panel discussions. Traditionally, nonfiction, mystery, and fiction authors participate in their respective panels, followed by book signings. LitLIVE! typically takes place at a local bookstore, library, or university in the Fort Lauderdale area.

Who We Are
Since its founding in 1982, the Broward Public Library Foundation has been raising private dollars in support of Broward County Library programs, collections and services. An active Board of Directors oversees the Foundation’s mission, providing input on fundraising initiatives and grant-making investments. Through the generosity of donors, the Library Foundation is able to underwrite children’s literacy programs, workforce development initiatives and innovative pilot programs.
Some Programs We Support Below are just a few of the impactful Broward County Library programs supported through the Library Foundation. Books ‘n’ Bears at the Holidays 3,000 disadvantaged preschool children receive a new book and a cuddly teddy bear at library branches and child care centers throughout the county. Summer Learning Program An estimated 100,000 children, teens and adults participate in free and accessible programs throughout the summer months to build reading and learning skills. StoryBook Festival The StoryBook Festival brings books to life for young minds every year at Southwest Regional Library. The family-friendly festival includes interactive storytellers, performances and the popular Fantasy Forest.

FEAST WITH THE FOUNDATION Friday, February 19, 2027 • 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Pier Sixty-Six • Aviva Ballroom An inspiring and philanthropic women’s luncheon featuring a bestselling author in the Aviva Ballroom at Pier Sixty-Six Resort. The luncheon features a multi-course meal with complimentary wine upon entry, a raffle, live auction, and book sales.
