Choosing the right path! There’s more than one way to get to where you want to be. At Bournemouth and Poole College, you can choose from a range of study and training routes depending on your experience and ambitions.

Full-Time Vocational Courses Our vocational courses are designed to get you career-ready. • You’ll focus on one subject area that you’re passionate about and will learn the technical and practical skills linked to real careers. • A wide range of courses covering various levels and subjects, these are a great way to build your expertise and take the next step towards your future career. 4


T Levels • T Levels are a designed for students who want a more practical route into skilled careers. They combine in-depth classroom learning with valuable workplace experience, with 20% of learning taking place on industry placement. • A T level is equivalent to three A Levels and carries UCAS tariff points, making it a strong pathway into Higher Education or employment.

Apprenticeships With an apprenticeship, you’ll be employed, earn a wage and gain real experience in the workplace, while earning a nationally recognised qualification through training and study with us. With over 2,000 apprentices and partnerships with over 1,000 employers, we’re the largest apprenticeship provider in the region.

University Centre Poole As a degree-level student at University Centre Poole, enjoy learning in a creative, supportive and welcoming environment with highly experienced tutors in specialised facilities. As well as our degrees being endorsed by, and designed in partnership with employers, the majority of our degrees are awarded by associated local universities. This means that as a student enrolled onto one of our degree courses, you are entitled to access some of the facilities at the partner university. You will also benefit from smaller class sizes and personal tutorial support to ensure that you receive ongoing personalised support throughout your study. Our University Centre was launched in June 2024 and offers stateof-the-art learning environments, with digital suites with access to high-specification IT equipment, virtual reality suites, nursing training facilities and social and study spaces to meet and collaborate.

Getting to the College We’re proud to say that our Poole campus is easily accessible by both bus and train, making it simple for you to join us on our Open Event days.

Bus Routes Our campus is well-connected by local bus services, stopping just outside of our main entrance. Whether you’re coming from the town centre, or nearby locations, there’s likely a direct or connecting bus route for you. M1: Poole to the Royal Bournemouth Hospital, serving: Parkstone, Westbourne, Bournemouth and Castlepoint. M2: Poole to Southbourne, serving: Parkstone, Westbourne, Bournemouth and Boscombe.

Train Stations We’re fortunate to be situated by two train stations, making travel by rail incredibly easy. Both stations are within walking distance of the college, offering fast connections to and from surrounding areas.

20: Poole to Castlepoint, serving: Poole, Parkstone, Branksome, Westbourne, Charminster and Muscliff. 15: Poole to Royal Bournemouth Hospital, serving: Parkstone, Wallisdown, Winton, Moordown and Castlepoint.

Parkstone Train Station: Just a 15-minute walk from campus, with direct services from Weymouth and London Waterloo.

Single fares are capped at £3 thanks to the Department for Transport scheme, funded by UK Government. Some single fares are less than £3.

Poole Train Station: A mile from our Poole Campus, with a taxi rank just outside platform 1.
