Getting to the College We’re proud to say that our Bournemouth campus is easily accessible by both bus and train, making it simple for you to join us on our Open Event days.
Bus Routes Our campus is well-connected by local bus services, stopping close to our main entrance. Whether you’re coming from the town centre, or nearby locations, there’s likely a direct or connecting bus route for you. M2: Poole to Southbourne, serving: Poole, Parkstone, Westbourne and Boscombe. 1A: Bournemouth to Somerford, serving: Bournemouth, Pokesdown, Iford and Christchurch. 1B: Bournemouth to Burton, serving: Boscombe, Southbourne and Christchurch. X1: Bournemouth to Lymington, serving: Christchurch, Highcliffe, New Milton and Everton. X6: Bournemouth to Salisbury, serving: Boscombe, Fordingbridge and Ringwood.
Purbeck Breezer 50: Bournemouth to Swanage, serving: Canford Cliffs, Studland and Swanage. Purbeck Breezer All single bus fares are currently just £2, whilst young people can get unlimited bus travel in Zone A for as little as £1.75 per day for unlimited trips, very verification through the More Bus App.
Train Stations We’re fortunate enough to be located just a 10-minute walk from Bournemouth Train Station, with direct services from Weymouth through to London Waterloo. There is a taxi rank situated just outside of the station.
Your Arrival Please sign in for our Open Event at Reception in the Compass Building. Please ensure that your QR code is ready to scan. When you arrive, you’ll receive a campus map, the latest College News bulletin and a bag of Bournemouth and Poole College goodies. Please enter the College from Christchurch Road, where signs will help direct you to the Compass Building. Our staff will also be on hand throughout the event to help you find your way. Please note: Unfortunately, parking is not available on site for this Open Event.

The Compass Building The next chapter for Bournemouth and Poole College began this September, with the opening of the £36million Compass Building; a landmark facility committed to creating opportunities for students, employers and the wider community.
One of the building’s most notable features is its strong connection with industry. Travel and tourism students will get hands-on experience in an Immersive airport simulation room, with an A320-style aircraft cabin, whilst hospitality and catering students will prepare and serve guests in the new Escoffier Restaurant.
The Compass Building houses specialised facilities for business, hospitality and catering, digital and computing, hair and beauty, travel and tourism, media and sport, boasting learning environments that closely reflect the workplace.

Now Open! Modern fitness facilities, a climbing wall and sports hall will also provide sport students with industrystandard spaces for training. For young people considering their next steps, adult learners looking to retrain and businesses seeking skilled employees, the Compass Building represents new possibilities.
