Admissions Process
STAGE 1: VISIT US
Join one of our Open Events or schedule a private visit. Please book via our website.
STAGE 2: MAKE AN APPLICATION
• Submit our online registration form by our published deadline
• Pay a non-refundable registration fee of £150
• Supply us with a photograph of the applicant
• Provide a copy of the applicant’s latest full school report (and other reports where appropriate)
STAGE 3: ASSESSMENT PROCESS
Year 7 applicants (assessment is carried out in Year 6):
This is a lovely opportunity for us to get to know your child through a varied and enjoyable day at RGS Surrey Hills, giving us the chance to see their best qualities, and giving them a chance to discover more about life at our school.
The day includes:
• Written assessments in Maths and English
• An interview with a member of our senior team
Year 9 applicants (if assessment is carried out in Year 6):
• Please see the above details for Year 7 applications
Year 9 applicants (if assessment is carried out in Year 8):
• Our own written tests in Maths and English on our Assessment Day at RGS Surrey Hills – November 2025 (date TBC)
Year 12 applicants:
• Interview + review of school reports/GCSE predictions
