GENERAL INFORMATION
TWO YEAR OLDS
The two-year-old geldings in the sale will all have 50-90 days riding by sale time. They have all the basics. Standing, loping, circles, stopping, back-up, loading, unloading. They have been used driving cattle to the pen and light work in the pen. Rode outside crossing creeks and ditches. They will have shoes by sale time.
BIDDING
Every buyer MUST obtain a number in the office. Positive identification is required to receive a buyer’s number. Each horse will be sold to the highest bidder. All horses become the property of the buyer when the auction ends. Any disputes will be settled by the auctioneer when the gavel drops. There will also be an option of online bidding through www.dvauction.com. Can’t make the sale let DVAuction bring the sale to you! Click apply for bidding in the upper left corner of your screen. Please make an account at least 24 hours prior to the sale to have time to be approved.
PAYMENT
All horses are to be paid for the day of the sale. No horse shall leave the grounds without a bill of sale. All registration papers will be issued to the buyer at the time of payment. Transfers are the responsibility of the buyer.
RISK
The buyer becomes responsible for his/her purchase as soon as the auction ends. Box A Ranch will work with buyers on planning to receive horse purchases
HEALTH
We strongly urge buyers to thoroughly examine the horses that interest them. Any known blemishes or defects will be noted on the horse’s individual ticket. Therefore, NO animal can be rejected by the buyer when the sale ends. All sales are absolute and final. Every animal will be sold under this rule. Sale horses have been dewormed with Ivomec in the last two months. Colts may have fresh nicks due to handling and transport to sale site. All horses are guaranteed sound. Veterinarian notes: All horses have a current negative Coggins test and interstate health certificate and have been inspected by Dr. Don Anderson, DVM.

Box A Ranch History
Robby, Tera, Kaylee Nichols, Don & Peggie Anderson & Stubby
Don Anderson came home from veterinary school in 1975 with a broodmare that came from J.B Fergusen. She was one of the first of his broodmares. He began doing ranch work and roping on a few mares he had selected for conformations, bone, speed and cow. At the right time they became broodmares and filles and from those mares is where his broodmares came from.
As his ranching operation grew, he used a flat top A brand so it would not blotch. One of his hands started calling it Box A and that is how the ranch name began.
Many stallions were used over the years. Dick Etheredge’s “Joe Queen Last”
John Pennell’s “Teddy Plucker” a partnership formed, and they bought “Coco Satan”. He raised out of a B.D Nation mare “Gray Smoke Dawdle”, and Glenn Rosson bought from the Howard Dahlof Sale “Roman Aces Full” He took his best mare “My Aces Full” to Shinar Ranch and got “My Ace Cowboy”. He then went to Duane Walker in Canton, KS and bought “Tee Jay Fancy Jackie” “CS
Cash Remind” came from Tim Pursifull from CS Cattle Co. in Cimarron New Mexico. Others came from Sally Schwartz in Raton New Mexico., Chip Jones from Amarillo, Tx, and Kathleen Moore from Durant, OK, which he still has as reference sires. Most of his broodmares came today from mares which he has kept out of these stallions.
