FEBRUARY 16-20, 2026

On behalf of the Board and staff of Bowls Australia, we are delighted to welcome players, teams, partners and fans back to the Bowls Premier League.
The bowls fraternity will once again descend on Moama Bowling Club for the 23rd edition of this made-for-television event, which continues to set the benchmark for elite bowls competition.
As the first major event on the 2026 calendar, BPL23 promises a sensational atmosphere across each day and night of competition, with some of the world’s best bowlers taking centre stage.
The most recent edition delivered the most competitive tournament yet, with the introduction of two new teams further

raising the standard and intensity of the competition. That momentum continues in 2026, with fans set to enjoy another highly contested battle for a share of the $110,000 prize pool.
With extensive live streaming and more than 24 hours of broadcast coverage across Fox Sports Australia, Kayo and Sky Sports New Zealand, the Bowls Premier League remains one of the sport’s most powerful and engaging products.
The atmosphere created by players, fans and teams at this event continues to exceed expectations. It is a truly world-class showcase for bowls and one that continues to grow with each edition.
Bowls Australia extends its sincere thanks to the officials and volunteers who will work tirelessly throughout the week. Your contribution is invaluable and central to the success of this event.
We also thank the Board and staff of Moama Bowling Club for their ongoing commitment and professionalism in bringing the Bowls Premier League to life as host venue.
Finally, we acknowledge and thank Bowls Australia’s partners whose support makes this event possible.
In particular, we recognise our BPL team licensees and their partners, host venue Moama Bowling Club, and BPL event partners TripADeal, KenoGO, Aero Bowls, Audika, BCiB and MakMax.
Bowls Australia also acknowledges the ongoing support of our high-performance partners, the Australian Sports Commission, the Australian Institute of Sport and Commonwealth Games Australia.

After the traditional short turnaround from October's BPL22, the attention now turns to the brilliant Moama Bowling Club for the 23rd edition of the Bowls Premier League (BPL).
More history is on the line for a plethora of teams on the Murray with plenty on the line as the competition gets closer with each passing edition.
The home franchise in the Moama Steamers will be striving to back up their scintillating display from Club Pine Rivers as they look to join the Tweed Ospreys with five titles overall, the most in tournament history.
Aron Sherriff will be on the hunt for a seventh title as a player, while Cass Millerick and Matt Baus will look to add more silverware to their growing collection in Kevin Anderson's lineup.
After falling to the Steamers in an epic decider a few months ago, the Sydney Lions will also be vying for win number five at the BPL with an unchanged lineup of reigning MVP Nathan Black, BPL22 Grand Final MVP Karen Murphy AM and Jackaroo Kane Nelson with brilliant tactician Steve Glasson OAM in the coaching chair.
The Lions and Steamers will be looking to match the Ospreys on five wins, but the Club Tweed franchise will be brimming with confidence with another unchanged team of six-time champion and three-time MVP Aaron Teys alongside former MVP Corey Wedlock and five-time winner Chloe Stewart under the guidance of Wayne Turley OAM.
After reaching the finals for the first time

since BPL12, the Perth Suns will bid to crack through for that elusive finals win after a straight sets exit in Queensland.
Bolstered by a scintillating performance by All Star Kristina van Nierop and joined with the consistency of Carl Healey and Ben Leggett, Bill Brandsma's team might have the right recipe to go deep.
Last year the Geelong Jets were the talk of Moama, dominating right until the final before going down to the Gold Coast Hawks in the Grand Final.
The unchanged team of champion and MVP Aaron Wilson, BPL21 MVP Paul Foster MBE and Jamie-Lee Worsnop under coach Matthew Flapper will be looking for one result only, the title.
One of the few playing changes has occurred at BPL23 and that is for the Hawks, with Brett Wilkie coming in for Nick Brett to join two-time champions Nathan Rice and Kelsey Cottrell in Mark Thatcher's team.
Another team that has featured prominently on the Murray in recent years are the Melbourne Pulse, who again go with the same team of three-time winner Ellen Fife, BPL19 MVP Gary Kelly and Barrie Lester with Jeremy Henry as coach once more.
Their cross town rivals in the Melbourne eXtreme will see the return of Kelvin Kerkow OAM as coach for Marc Bullows, with the team of Jackaroos Jack McShane, Nick Cahill and Brianna Smith returning to the Club Sunbury franchise.
After missing the finals for the first time since BPL17, the Adelaide Pioneers will back themselves to jump back into the five with one change as Kelly McKerihen lines up for Katelyn Inch for her BPL debut to
team up with two-time MVP Scott Thulborn, Wayne Ruediger and Katelyn Inch with Les Carter back in as coach for Dan Flanagan.
The Moreton Bay Pirates will also be with a new coach as two-time BPL player Aaron Hewson comes in for Ali Forsyth with two-time MVP and champion Alex Marshall MBE returning alongside Ryan Burnett, with a late change of Jessie Cottell coming in for Selina Goddard for her first full campaign.
Two-time MVP and three-time champion Ryan Bester is back at the BPL but in a coaching capacity for the Sydney Saints.
The 300-gamer takes the mantle held by Gerard Beath with three-time winner Ben Twist, two-time All Star Dawn Hayman and England's Jamie Walker all back for the St Johns Park franchise.
Finally, despite finishing on the bottom of the table at Club Pine Rivers, the Tasmania Tridents will be buoyed by the fact that their net sets were even despite winning just eight matches across the event.
Two-time All Star Rebecca Van Asch is back, as is Taelyn Male, joined by newcomer Codi Marshall, with Chris Dudman as coach as the Tridents aim to reach the finals once more.
BPL23 runs from February 16-20, 2026 at the Moama Bowling Club, with live streaming to take place on Bowls Australia’s YouTube channel.

He joins Kelsey Cottrell and former Australian star Nathan Rice, both of whom know exactly what it takes to win the trophy.

Compliance with the National Merchandise Program (NMP) is an essential part of supporting the sport of bowls in Australia.
We encourage clubs and players to embrace the “in Step With The Standards" initiative by keeping up to date with the NMP policy guidelines and the benefits it brings to the sport
From July 1, 2025, there will be some important changes to the policy, including updates to the placement of the NMP logo and licensed manufacturer logos on apparel It’s important to familiarise yourself with these changes to ensure continued compliance and to proudly support the integrity and growth of the sport
Let’s work together to celebrate our commitment to bowls and move forward with pride! #instepwiththestandards

Speak to your Club Support Manager in your state for queries and more information on how you can support your clubs compliance.
Bowls Australia clubs and members can easily access and download information sheets and guidelines to stay informed about the National Merchandise Program (NMP).
