Placemaking: A multi layered system of : - Historic defense objects opened and programmed for the public [orange]. - Water pumping stations are turned into pavilions, it makes the visitors aware of the complex watersystem in the area by showing the differences in waterlevels [blue]. - Parkconnectors are spectaculair bridges for pedestrians and cyclists. 18. Park Nieuwe Diep: Central Waterpark for the East Amsterdam. The Nieuwe Diep Park interconnects the surrounding neighborhoods, people, ora and fauna by its central location close to both the historic city centre and the open landscape. 19. Diemer Park Circuit: Great open spaces in city for large urban programmes. 20. Park entrances: New entrances of the Park Nieuwe Diep to seduce people to go into the parklandscape. Park entrances are combined with public transport nodes.

21. Urban enclaves: New urban enclaves makes a gradient in density in city edges. By making clear and strong boundaries it bring an nice scale to the landscape. 22. The urban fringe with suburban activity (industries) are converted to urban enclaves in the landscape. The boundaries are clearly appointed. The edge of the urban enclaves are attractive for recreational purposes, planted with trees, which adds a greater value towards it’s surroundings. 23. Diemer Park Circuit: In between spaces are turned in to urban lagoons. 24. Dike boulevard: Former seadike turned into a atmospheric boulevard with great ecological potention 25. Parkconnector and shipping Highway: Spectaculair bridge for pedestrians and cyclists, with a great lookout because it's high construction.
