University insight - at your school Presentations Our presentations can be delivered on our campus or yours by our experienced schools liaison team and student ambassadors. Content and timings can be amended as required, so please do speak to us if you have a shorter or longer slot to fill or if you would like us to add or enhance a particular topic. Budgeting Challenge

This interactive workshop challenges students to spend a budget wisely guided by the presenter, introducing tips and tricks for making money go further.

Student Life

Led by a current Bournemouth University student or alumni who will share their experience studying and socialising as an undergraduate and what campus life is like.

Prepare for the Fair

Prepares students to effectively engage with everything that a careers or university fair has to offer, including how to start a conversation, questions to ask and goal setting.

Revision, Exams & Wellbeing

Provides helpful advice on how to balance wellbeing with an effective revision timetable to set your students up for success with their studies.

Higher Education: why and how?

We will offer tips on how to go about choosing a university and course and provide students with a step-by-step guidance on the UCAS application process.

STEAM programme Our STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) programme is carefully designed to introduce students to a variety of themes, broadening their perspectives on the extensive array of courses and career opportunities within this dynamic industry.

STEAM Workshop - at your school Forensic Analysis

Book for Autumn term onwards Analyse and solve a crime scene and use forensic skills and teamwork to study fingerprint, handwriting, footprint and blood splatter samples. Students will gain insight into forensic science and investigation while learning about the variety of available roles.

Robotics Challenge

Book for Spring Term onwards Explore and develop programming fundamentals using drag-and-drop code to complete a series of challenges.

Using communication and problem-solving skills, participants will build, adapt, and programme a remote-controlled robot to navigate obstacles on our challenge board.

Designs for your Future

NEW from Easter 2024 Learn how clever design and ingenious engineering can lead us to a more sustainable future. This brand-new interactive workshop will guide students through product design from start to finish, working in teams to create a prototype product that will contribute to a more sustainable planet.

STEAM events - on our campus BFX Festival

Monday 20 - Saturday 25 November 2023 For students interested in visual effects, computer animation and game design, our annual BFX festival of talks, panels and masterclasses delivered by industry experts will inspire them to take their next steps into this vibrant industry.

Festival of Design & Engineering

Monday 24 June 2024 A hotbed of creativity and excellence, our annual Festival of Design & Engineering displays the work of our final-year students in the industry. This one-day visit will inspire your future designers and engineers with examples of what they could achieve at university-level study through interactive workshops and activities.

Year 8 2 hours

Summer Residentials BU Summer Residentials offer a fully funded experience, including all accommodation, meals and a wide range of activities. This immersive opportunity allows students to sample the complete university lifestyle, providing a glimpse into undergraduate student life.

Participants will engage in academic tasters, including seminars led by experts, practical workshops utilising our specialist facilities, and collaborative group projects with guidance from our current students.

There will also be plenty of time to relax and socialise with fellow participants including a beach BBQ, a social evening in the Students’ Union and even some optional sports activities* - all while living in actual student accommodation offering the genuine university experience!

Our free annual one-day conference, delivered in collaboration with Dorset Careers Hub, provides teachers, careers leaders and educational professionals with the latest updates across the sector.
