For the past 10 year-plus, it has been my honor to stand in front of groups like this, and talk about global impact.
I’m referencing the collective global impact of the businesses we celebrate tonight, the economy they support, and the community that is their host.
At the Boulder Chamber, we talk about building community through business. That means our support of local business and our approach to economic vitality are aligned with values that strengthen our entire community.
With housing prices rising and commute transportation ever more important, the Boulder Chamber is advancing solutions –from successful advocacy for more compact affordable development to transportation solutions through the work of our own integrated transportation management organization – Boulder Transportation Connections. And that is also global impact worth celebrating!
With homelessness a national crisis, the
Boulder Chamber is stepping into the fold with thoughtful, comprehensive solutions to protect our public spaces, address criminal behavior, yet compassionately meet the needs of our unhoused population. We can all celebrate that vision!
It takes all of us - working collaboratively, thinking creatively, and collectively putting our shoulder to the wheel - to get the job done. The job done for our local community and for the world that stretches far beyond our borders.
Tonight we honor a few of the many outstanding individuals among us, along with the businesses and institutions they represent and demonstrate that we can and will be that model for solutions to the world’s greatest challenges.
... And that, is worth celebrating. Let’s have some fun tonight!
