TIME FOR GIVING HOWDY BROTHERS AND SISTERS! Everybody knows that bikers give more than any other organized group in America. Especially if there is a way we can help kids, we are all in! There are many charities that motorcycle people love to support. This includes Fran Haasch’s Food Drive as seen on our cover this month. Her food drive was a big success, and you’ll see some great photos in this issue. Fran’s Law Group serves downed bikers and is a proud sponsor of Born To Ride. Thanks for all you do, Fran! Toy runs are another place where bikers enjoy riding out to drop off toys to kids in need. The holidays always amps up the giving. This December issue is dedicated to bikers doing good for good causes during the holiday season. Born To Ride offers a way for all of us to stay in touch with the lifestyle we love and you are holding in your hands the proof that we are still a print magazine that can take your message to the streets. If you have a biker friendly business, we want to hear about it. Advertise in Born To Ride today. Our Digital platform adds to the number of riders who will be up to date with what you have goin’ on. Last month alone, over 27 million motorcycle lovers engaged on our social media. Trust Born To Ride magazine and media to help your business grow! Give us a call at 813785-3895. This issue is packed with ways that our community is giving during the holidays! With the war in the Middle East still raging, we want to highlight the United Hatzalahs Motorcycle Responders. Israel’s Active Volunteers are featured in this issue. Please remember how hard they are working every day overseas. See the article right here. We’ll also take you to Wreaths Across America; a mission that makes sure we never forget our veterans. It is all about remembering

and honoring our Vets as well as teaching our children about our American way of life. Never forget that freedom isn’t free. Check out the very moving photos of bikers, veterans, and everyday people who honor the heroes who have proudly served our country. This year, National Wreaths Across America Day will be held on Saturday, December 16th. It’s a chance to join millions of people across over 4,000 participating locations in all 50 states. Find out more at https://www. wreathsacrossamerica.org/ This December issue reminds you that Gibtown Bikefest is coming and so is Born To Ride’s amazing Southern Fried Moto Show. We want to see your custom scooters. Who knows, you might even see your bike in Easyriders as we aim to share this incredible show with America’s “Biker’s Bible.” Join us at Gibtown this January 12th through the 14th in Riverview, Florida. But wait, there’s more than mistletoe and motorcycles in this issue. James Irwin reminds us that as a biker helping other bikers, he is here to help you be able to retire and enjoy your golden years. Meanwhile, we have a crazy Craven Christmas Story to share, Nefarious James reminds us to spend our time wisely, and Spyke & Mike have made up a few Christmas carols to put the Ho, Ho, happy times, under your tree. LET’S AVOID EVER HAVING TO SAY “I WISH I KNEW BACK THEN WHAT I KNOW NOW”

MAKING HOLIDAY MEMORIES

I’d like to start off by wishing everyone the best Holiday season ever! When it comes to Santa Clause, I must say the best times I’ve had have been when I believed in a real Santa or was playing Santa Clause. As I’m older now with no living parents, this season reminded me of the love and sacrifices which my parents made, in giving us wonderful childhood memories. This season has already started off with a few memories I’d like to share. Three of our four daughters came in town for Thanksgiving and brought me an early Christmas present I will cherish forever.

Our girls found a 1000 piece puzzle of a 1995 Harley Heritage softail. This was one of my favorite Harleys of the past. The girls found the puzzle in a “Resale” shop and thought it would be nice surprise for me! The puzzle took us many hours over the course of three days to complete. Amazingly all the pieces were there. The finished puzzle is on the wall now, and it will always serve as a great memory. Yet another great memory we made just happened last weekend where my wife and I were invited aboard our friends’s boat, the “11:11” to participate in a Christmas Parade. The boats’ owners (fellow bikers and good friends) hosted the event. I find bikers and boaters often have a lot in common. They all like to feel the wind in there face. Maybe that’s why dogs love to stick there head out the windows. As I witnessed the crowds and boats in the parade, I am reminded how fortunate I have been to be able to serve so many of you this past year and make a positive impact on your financial journey.

As you may know, I am in financial services with a very unique approach. I find money people are losing unknowingly and unnecessary and I use those dollars to materialize their retirement dreams. I find people are losing money in 5 different area. One area is taxes, and taxes are set to go up in Jan 2026. Some have said “there is tax freight train heading our way.” Don’t get run over! Call me now to prepare. I also find people don’t know the answers to the 4 most important financial questions. One being “Do you know what rate of return you need to earn on your current savings and investments to live at your current lifestyle in retirement to life expectancy?” Do you know? Do you want to know? I can give the answer to these questions for free without judgement or obligation in 15 minutes. Following a visit to our headquarters by Ken Engelman, I reached out to Born To Ride. Ken, who is an American, was on a tour around Israel to see how the country uses and works with motorcycles to respond to medical emergencies. He was very impressed with our operation and suggested that I reach out to Born To Ride. After looking at your website and online media, I thought that this would be a terrific place to tell the story of how motorcycles are used to save lives here in Israel. United Hatzalah’s motorcycle responders are Israel’s most active volunteers. We come from all backgrounds and religions to provide the very first response to medical emergencies across the country. While some of our men and women only began riding later on in life, their mission to save lives, combined with the need for speed in shaving off response times and the simple enjoyment of riding a motorcycle combines to make all of us riders simply born to ride. I am thankful that you are helping us spread the word. Hopefully, we’ll be able to bring our model of lifesaving to other locations as well and help more people. BTR 10 | BORNTORIDE.COM

When United Hatzalah’s (Hatzalah is Hebrew for Rescue) Founder and President Eli Beer said that he would create an emergency medical service system that would enable first responders to arrive at the scene of a medical emergency with a national average response time of fewer than three minutes, people didn’t believe him. When he said that first responders were the tools that saved lives and not ambulances, people didn’t believe him. When he put EMTs, paramedics, and doctors on motorcycles and built a box in the back to carry all of the lifesaving

equipment present in an ambulance aside from the bed and backboard and called it an ambucycle, people thought it was crazy. Now after 12 years, 5,000 responders, and 750 ambucycles people believe. Having attained those goals, United Hatzalah of Israel is now set to enhance its current response system to enable first responders to arrive at the scene of an emergency with an average response time of 90 seconds across the country. It sounds absurd, especially when most Western countries, provinces, counties, and cities

“This is such a real International story of passion for life we are honored to tell.” Thank You, Ron Galletti

have set a goal of attaining an average response time of 8 or 9 minutes. But most of those authorities don’t use ambucycles and highly trained volunteer responders who drop whatever they’re doing and rush out at a moments notice to respond to emergencies in their local vicinity. 90 seconds seems like a dream. But, as Eli and United Hatzalah have already proven, when you are dealing with speed and ambucycles, dreams very quickly become a reality. Saving critical seconds in the field of EMS and beginning the process of prehospital treatment in the case of any medical

emergency faster is the mission. In Israel, United Hatzalah is doing exactly that and providing treatment before an ambulance can arrive. By utilizing its fleet of ambucycles to get emergency personnel through traffic faster, a national network of trained EMS personnel, and advanced geolocation technology similar to UBER, United Hatzalah has already succeeded at lowering the average emergency response time to 90 seconds in major cities such as Jerusalem, parts of Tel Aviv and others. Other organizations are following suit and thus the patients benefit from the resulting flashmob of responders who

rush to an emergency at any time day or night. Arriving at patients faster and beginning treatment is key to raising their chances of survival, and ambucycles are the key to arriving faster. The concept of the ambucycle came to life during a terror attack in the crowded Jerusalem neighborhood known as Beit Yisroel. This neighborhood is known for its narrow and crowded streets. On March 2, 2002, a Palestinian terrorist blew himself up in a suicide bombing that killed 11 civilians including two infants. Ambulance crews and medical volunteers rushed from all over to

provide assistance, but the streets were already full of hysterical pedestrians and drivers fleeing the scene and the rescue teams couldn’t get through the traffic for a lengthy period of time, preventing life-saving aid from reaching the injured and dying. Seeing the carnage and resulting traffic congestion, the idea was born to put medical responders with a full complement of equipment on motorcycles, allowing them to cut through the traffic and reach patients during the golden hour following illness or injury. Ambucycle responders receive fully accredited medical training and equipment appropriate for their level of caregiving. They also receive specialized driver training that

BTR 12 | BORNTORIDE.COM

earns them certification to use their ambucycles at high speeds as emergency vehicles. The ambucycles all come equipped with lights and sirens, which drivers are allowed to employ, only after passing the extra level of training and an internal test. The volunteers who make up the organization are as diverse as the country, with volunteers coming from all religious and political backgrounds. “In the northern region, we have Druze, Muslim and Christian residents volunteering alongside their Jewish peers. In the South, Bedouins work handin-hand with other responders. The organization boasts six exclusively Muslim chapters across the country including Kfar Kassem,

Taibe, Shibli, Wadi Ara, Nazareth and east Jerusalem and large swathes of other chapters are mixed bringing responders from all backgrounds to work together. That is why our name says ‘united,’ that is part of what we do,” Beer declared. United Hatzalah has active branches in three other countries including Panama, Ukraine (Kiev and Uman) and in the United States (United Rescue of Jersey City, NJ). It has also built partnerships with other EMS organizations in Brazil, Argentina, India, Mexico, South Africa, and its model of lifesaving is being developed in more than a dozen others. Already, the concept of the ambucycle has been adopted in many of

“As war continues in Israel we can only hope and pray these heroic

these countries as well as in Zurich, Sweden, where a similar but smaller organization known as Hatzolah Zurich, has begun to employ ambucycles due to the results that were seen in Israel. The work that these organizations do is not aimed at being the transport vehicle to take an injured or sick individual to the hospital, but in being the immediate response to save critical seconds and begin treatment before an ambulance can arrive. In the case of mass casualty incidents (MCIs) or trauma, triage can begin, and immediate medical treatment can already be taking place before the ambulances arrive, enabling the ambulance teams to simply load the patients

onboard and transport them to the hospital for continued care. This model has stood up under real-life situations including terror attacks, natural disasters, and everyday medical emergencies such as car and bicycle accidents, illnesses and traumas. In Israel, the organization responds to an average of more than 1,000 calls daily. This front line of community-based EMS response is a force multiplier for emergency and disaster preparedness at the highest level and fulfills the Judeo-Christian value of “love thy neighbor.” Perhaps what is most impressive about the entire organization, is that all of its ser-

rider first responders are safe and continue to save lives” Ron Galletti

vices are offered completely free of charge to the patient. In the 12 years that the organization has been operational, none of more than 2,500,000 people who have been treated by its volunteers has ever received a bill. Instead, all of the money comes from donations from both inside Israel and international supporters. “I made the commitment when I began this organization, that no one should ever hesitate to call for emergency medical assistance because they can’t afford to pay an ambulance bill. Therefore, all of our services are free, they have always been free, and they always will be free,” Beer concluded.

Craven Moorehead CHRISTMAS

Well, I made it through Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and most of Cyber Monday. This was an easy task largely because I had no money to waste on things that I don’t really need. Although the desire is there to spend on the people I care about, it is an impossible feat without the necessary funds. Commercialism aside, there are a lot of valid reasons to enjoy this time of year. If you ignore all the ads, come-ons and deals you can’t live without and then simply focus on what you do have – and not what you want, a certain sort of peace will come over the chaos that roars on in your head and heart. It’s okay to want things, but if you cannot afford those things it’s better to just forget about it and move on. It seems to work well for me, but I’m not suggesting that you should think the way that I do. After all, it is a dark and disturbing place in what remains of my mind! Originally, we were all taught that Christmas is the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. Although the census among the scientific community suggests that the event didn’t really happen during the winter, if it happened at all. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and the ability to practice their own religion. Scientists do not profit at this time of year but the commercial entities certainly do. Some of us simply try to remember the story as told in the Bible and let that be profit enough. (It took me several minutes to decide not to use the word ‘prophet’ in that sentence, instead of profit – levity resides in the aforementioned ‘dark’ areas of my mind.) Although it’s difficult to be comedic at times, if you are me then it just sort of rolls out usually to the disdain of those listening. Thankfully for you, my dedicated readers, you don’t have to hear all the crap because you simply read whatever drivel I put in this column - or you just put it down and not read it – and then make colorful comments about my existence. It’s okay. I’m used to it. …

I think as we get older, some of the magic and mystery of Christmas sort of fades away. The beauty and meaning of the holiday; however, seems to be intensified the farther you progress in life. Once you get past 6 or 7 years old, you begin to not believe in Santa Claus and begin believing in Amazon.com. … I, however, still believe in Santa Claus because every time my dogs come back into the house from the yard they have sandy claws. Plus, I know for a fact that Santa frequents the Gentlemen’s Clubs. I have actually seen him there. Although he didn’t have on the red suit, I knew it was him because he kept bellowing out “Ho Ho Ho” and throwing cash around. The unmistakable long white beard and rosy-red face couldn’t have been attributed to the double vodkas he was drinking, could it? I used to think he only liked eggnog and cookies, and then I remembered that most of the eggnog that I have consumed contained a fairly good amount of alcohol. So, whether you believe in Santa or not, I suppose that it doesn’t really matter. I mean after all, everyone needs to have something to believe in, so I believe I will have another beer! This particular holiday has a lot of different meanings to a variety of people. I certainly do enjoy it, and of course it would be a lot more fun if I had some cash – but I never worry. I just wish everyone peace on Christmas and remember to do something nice for folks that need it. As bikers, we know how much love is spread around this time of year for those in need. Countless toyruns charitable poker runs and other events are occurring as we speak, and there are scant few days before the actual celebration of Christmas arrives. I appreciate all the efforts of those that give back to the community from behind this keyboard and it’s a blessing that this old-parts computer is still serving me well enough to allow me to send this important message to my readers. Anyhow, don’t think that I am nuts because I still believe in Christ and still give all I have. I also believe that Christmas itself brings people together and when people get together, great things happen! Just remember what the true meaning of this holiday is and do your best to enjoy it! Remember, just a few days after all the presents are unwrapped and the turkey is eaten, we once again gather together to celebrate the arrival of a new year. This is another great holiday because the new year often brings hope and prosperity to those that don’t wake up with a horrible hangover. When we make all those resolutions that we never keep, we can always remember the great times we had with family and friends during this wonderful season. And then, it’s back to work! May God bless you and all your people during this most joyous time of year! Hey! See ya’ll next year and until then speed safely!! CRAVEN

I knew him for over 22 years, there will never be another Man like him..

This Wonderful Life do I make a living, but I enjoy a life of adventure traveling the country, meeting new people and becoming reacquainted with old friends as part of my job that goes through familiar parts of the country every year. With each day comes something new. The ever-changing situation often brings an episode that requires flexibility; something that at one time prompted disappointment. Now as I recognize these as opportunities and give appropriately, in hindsight I realize these are sign posts that signal the necessity of taking a new direction.

Watching the flames flicker in the backyard campfire sooths my mind and promotes an awareness of what I love about my life. By far, my favorite part of this life as a traveling pinstripe artist has to do with getting to know the many people I meet along the way. I really do have the perfect job. Doing what I love and having fun while I make people happy with painted wonders that are created right before their very eyes.

There are old school tradesmen who just make a living. But by combining the qualities received from mom and dad – optimism and the tendency to have fun, plus the skills learned traveling with the circus – the value of placing myself in the proximity of people and the passion to create, learn, always striving to be better, adds up to the wonderful, productive and successful life I enjoy. Not only

As I grow spiritually, I discover this life is more about remaining teachable instead of relying on the vast cache of wisdom accumulated, the result of weathering so many storms in this life and developing apropos response skills, much like a sailor surrendering into the moment to allow the greater power to go to work.

Remaining in a perpetual state of wonder is how I prepare myself to receive the gift. Staying away from judging “good or bad” is part of how I remain in bliss. As I accept what is taking place around me and acknowledge the behavior, weather, circumstance or feeling as being perfect just the way it is, I get to stay happy. With a positive way of looking at things, it’s funny how the obstacles of life become the signposts that guide me to an even better destination than my original intention. Basking in the natural beauty at home on my property in Florida, dusk signals the end of the day. I cannot help but be

grateful for all that has taken place to get me here. With the flames flickering in the campfire providing subtle illumination to replace the waning light of day, I dream new dreams of finding adventure, meeting new people in faraway places I have never been to before, and even include new ideas; perhaps a train trip excursion through the Rockies, lengthy stays in the rugged northwest, taking my editor up on her offer to go on a horseback ride through the redwoods, or maybe a possible sightseeing trip to Glacier National Park. I like the idea of taking time to feast on the beauty and abundance that exists in this glorious land.

No doubt, as I dream about these eventual destinations and remain obedient to the signposts that occur and respond to them as a servant, the actual experience will probably be much different than the current fantasy, but due to my ability to remain flexible and trust in the moment, I will feast on whatever comes. Let’s welcome this day and all it brings, for no matter what, in the circumstances that require our change in direction, by graciously allowing this guidance to occur, we shall find new gifts and become sensitized to seeing that these gifts are all around us, all the time, every day. Until the road rises and I get to see you again somewhere along the way, have a powerful day. Be Good, Be Well, and Ride Safe

The iconic 1966 film featuring Peter Fonda, Nancy Sinatra, and a cast of hundreds, is one of the most well-known biker exploitation films ever produced. In this classic film the “Angels” a California Motorcycle Club, travel across the state to retrieve a stolen motorcycle belonging to one of the clubs members “the Loser.” Heavenly Blues (Fonda) is the charismatic club president. At times he seems to have to ‘baby-sit’ his troop of fun-loving boozers and druggies. This one is a favorite of mine, because the producers actually used real Harley-Davidson ‘choppers’ and actually cast some of the real members of the Hell’s Angels. In short, it is one of those films that give bikers in general a ‘bad’ name, but those of us who really know the true way of the biker lifestyle will find it entertaining, and at times hilarious. The Angels ride through the desert to Mecca, California to look for the Loser’s stolen motorcycle. They accuse a group of Mexicans in a repair shop of stealing the motorcycle when the Loser finds his brake pedal on a workbench. After some mild insults and accusations naturally, a fight breaks out in the shop and the ‘taco benders’ as Fonda calls them wind up on the losing end. The BTR 44 | BORNTORIDE.COM

police arrive, chasing the Angels on foot, and the Loser escapes on a parked police motorcycle. After a chase on mountain roads, one of the officers shoots the Loser in the back, and he later ends in a local hospital. Blues leads a small group of Angels to rescue the Loser and they subsequently “bust him out” of the hospital. In the melee a nurse is accosted by one of the Angels who knocks her out to keep the cops from discovering their presence in the hospital. The nurse later identifies Blues as one of the men she saw however; the audience knows that it was thanks to Blues’ intervention the assault stopped short of rape. Blues rebukes the member just before the cops notice their ‘suspect’ is gone. Later, the Loser dies at the Angels’ local watering hole from his injuries. The Angels move his body to an undertaker’s office-he demands cash “plus tax.” Using a forged death certificate the Angels arrange a funeral at a tiny church in the Loser’s rural hometown. During the service, Blues steps up to the minister and says those famous words “We just want to be free. Free to ride our machines without a hassle from the man. …” But when Blues says they just want to have fun, the Angels turn the service into a major party. The Angels remove the Loser from his Nazi flag-draped casket, sit him up and place a joint in his mouth. Meanwhile they also knock out the minister, tie him up and place him in the casket. Later, the Angels proceed to the Sequoia Grove cemetery to bury the Loser. The procession of noisy bikers gets the attention of the locals, who all gather to see the spectacle. One of the local kids throws a rock at the Angels and naturally yet another fight breaks out. This interruption prevents burying the Loser, and as police sirens wail in the background everyone scatters. One of the members begs Blues to go, but he refuses and tells his girl to leave with another member of the gang. This is where the other most remembered phrase comes in, as Blues sighs “there’s nowhere to go.” The last of the group leaves and Blues picks up a shovel and returns to the grave to bury the Loser. Just as I was going to call all my boozing buddies over to watch this flick once again, a knock came at the door. I opened it to see a mailman with an overnight package. I signed for it and opened it up, expecting something good. It was just a DVD and a note from the editor of this magazine demanding an immediate review of The Twilight Zone Episode #138 from 1964. This was disappointing news. In this short film a group of ‘bikers’ if you want to call them that are actually aliens from another planet sent to earth to infiltrate a small town. The local folks actually become fond of this odd cast, and befriend them. Little did they know the space-bikers were there to poison their water supply! I dunno … I suppose that it was getting late and I drifted off to sleep somewhere after the giant eyeball in the 1950s TV screen requested them to continue with the plan of destruction. This particular episode albeit cute, doesn’t really rate very high up there in the ‘biker exploitation’ world. I guess that’s just because it only exists in The Twilight Zone. … The Phantom Movie Review

BIKER HORNS smile and wave! Mike breaks in, “Yes, it’s toy run season and it’s also time for our annual jingles. I wrote one about you Spyke, and I am hoping you have one for me. It reads to the tune of:

It’s December, my BTR friends and that means there will be many lighted boat parades to see, Christmas trees on the beach to decorate, and toy runs to attend.

The most popular ones Mike and I will be attending this year are Bert’s Barracuda Harley-Davidson 7th annual toy run on Sunday, Dec. 3rd. We will be riding out the dealership to Gulf Boulevard to Pass-a-Grill and then back to the dealership. It’s fully escorted and always a fun ride.

Away in a Manger. As you lay in that manger, You crazy ol’ bird. You’ve compromised the manger, By pooping in the hay a big turd. You scattered the shepherds, And likewise, the sheep. Get out of that manger, Those things don’t come cheap! Get out of that manger, You funky colored bird. You made the poor mother Mary cry, And a Wiseman spew out bad words. You’ve got a rooster staring at you, Wondering if it’s his turn, for a little peace on Earth. By you making him scream, cock a-doodle-doo! Get away from that manger,

The Viet Nam Vets MC has their 39th annual toy run on the second weekend, Dec. 10th. That one leaves out of Derby Lane dog track on Gandy and runs to American Legion Post 138. It’s an excellent ride across a lesser traveled bridge over Tampa Bay and benefits Tampa’s VA hospitals. On the last Sunday before Christmas Dec. 17th, the Suncoast Brotherhood has their 43rd annual toy run out of American Legion post 275 in Dunedin. It’s Pinellas County’s longest running and the safest toy run, with extra police escorts and a nice ride through the town of Dunedin where thousands of spectators come out to watch us ride by, BTR 54 | BORNTORIDE.COM

You crazy ol’ hen. If you start chewing on something, You’ll wind up in a pen. Don’t you dare think about it, I’m warning you here. Or I won’t hang a stocking, For Spyke this year!”

I cackle, “Don’t tempt me with a good time. You make it sound as if I am a few presents short of a full sleigh! My jingle is more contemporary, and it’s read to the tune of:

Silver Bells. Packed parking lot, festive biker clan, All dressed in holiday style. In the air, There’s a feeling, Of Christmas. Bikers riding, Crowds we’re passing, Most of them waving back at us. And from every passing scoot you’ll hear… Biker horns, biker horns, It’s toy run time in Florida. Ring-a-ling, hear them ring, As we ride side-by-side. Lines of street bikes, Running stop lights, Cop cars blink red and blue. As they hold up traffic, While we ride by so slow. Hear the parents scream, See the kids bunch, As bikers throw them candy. And above all this bustle, You’ll hear… Biker horns, biker horns, It’s toy run time in Florida. Ring-a-ling, hear them ring, As we ride side by side.”

Mike replies, “Good job, Spyke. Just when I thought you were a few pies short of a holiday and bright as Alaska in December, you have surprised me again. I am going to reward you with a trip to the toy store where you can pick out gifts for the kids this year. Let’s get your wings in the wind, my knees under the keys, and the Fat Bird 3 wheels rolling down the road. It’s our time of the year to make kids happy! -SPYKE

CHRISTIAN MOTORCYCLISTS ASSOCIATION Oh, what a wonderful time of year. The holidays are upon us! Many look forward to this time of year to decorate their homes and plan for parties, meals and travels. But, what about the gifts we’ll give? Probably one of the most difficult decisions to make is what to get those in the biker community. This can be an especially difficult decision for the non-biker enthusiast. To try and answer this question, I went to my local Harley dealer, spoke with the sales professionals and asked, “what are the most sought after items during the Christmas season?” The first answer was a new motorcycle. How great would it be to wake up to a new bike in our driveway? For more budget-friendly options, there are aisles filled with items anyone would love to receive. Men’s most requested items were riding gear like boots and jackets, various style clothing items, shoes, and home goods items like pilsners, steins and clocks. For the ladies, answers ranged from assorted “bling” apparel, leather jackets, Harley jewelry, purses and even bogg bags. New helmets were a top contender, as were children and infant items like clothing and toy motorcycles. As we search to find the best gift for our loved ones, I would like to keep in mind the reason for the season. During this season, we should remember the perfect present has already been given to us. John 1:9-14 says,

“The one who is the true light, who gives light to everyone, was coming into the world. He came into the very world he created, but the world didn’t recognize him. He came to his own people, and even they rejected him. But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. They are reborn—not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God. So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.” Teach’s Takeaway, - A gift can be rejected or received. - Physical gifts are for a season. God’s gift is eternal. - When we believe and accept him, we become children of God. - Because of God’s unfailing love for all of us, he has offered each of us a gift. Will we receive it today?

This season we enjoy cool and refreshing rides, celebrations with friends and family, meals and sweets to eat, and giving gifts to our loved ones. However, the best gift of all is from God above, and it is one we can only receive for ourselves. Receive the perfect gift this season. Ride on.
