Say ‘NO’ to shark’s fin.
This has been around for a while so kudos to those who have made changes to exclude this from their diet and wedding dinner menu. But the killings have not stopped. Neither has the buying so it pays to be reminded of this regularly.
Other fish need your love too.
Bluefin tuna favoured by sushi chefs around the world is being overfished to near extinction. Raising Bluefin tuna on giant fish farms may not be the solution as the seas are then depleted of young Bluefin caught to fill up these farms. This literally wipes out a whole generation of Bluefin in the wild and no repopulation of the species. Keep fish in your diet – just not this fish.
Look before you eat.
Opt for natural or organic foods. Support food producers that use renewable energy resources and recyclable materials. 09 |

TURN OFF LIGHTS Always turn off incandescent bulbs when you leave a room. Fluorescent bulbs are more affected by the number of times it is switched on and off, so turn them off when you leave a room for 15 minutes or more. You'll save energy on the bulb itself, but also on cooling costs, as lights contribute heat to a room.
RECYCLE ALUMINUM AND GLASS Twenty recycled aluminium cans can be made with the energy it takes to manufacture one brand new one. Every ton of glass recycled saves the equivalent of nine gallons of fuel oil needed to make glass from virgin materials.
