Women Who Inspire, Transform, and Leave a Lasting Impact.
The month of May always invites us to celebrate the strength, sensitivity, leadership, and infinite capacity of women to transform the world around them. In this edition, our cover is dedicated to seventeen extraordinary women: business owners, entrepreneurs, and leaders who, beyond their beauty, shine through their talent, vision, and commitment to our community.
Each of them represents a story of effort, passion, and perseverance. Women who have turned their dreams into successful projects and who today inspire future generations to believe in themselves. From the worlds of education and equine therapy for children with special needs, to healthcare, technology, gastronomy, real estate, fashion, décor, beauty, wellness, and social entrepreneurship. We also recognize women entrepreneurs dedicated to floristry, land and home sales, jewelry, the restaurant industry, modeling agencies, and the insurance sector.
This edition recognizes the work and dedication of women who are making a lasting impact in our border region. I deeply thank each of them for their tireless work, strength, and perseverance in serving and supporting the community, as is the case of the Executive Director of the YWCA Sereka Barlow. Congratulations on your admirable work!
Within these pages, we also share memorable moments and events that marked this month. We traveled to Hawaii in our destinations section; attended the annual Borderplex event; joined the inspiring conference led by Cristina García and Álvaro Mora, coaches and changemakers who recognized outstanding women for their leadership and achievements; as well as the heartfelt special event hosted by UMC with a circus theme, bringing joy to many families.
One of the most memorable moments was the annual YWCA event, where renowned artist and speaker Paula Abdul shared a powerful message of motivation, resilience, and female empowerment.
With this edition, we celebrate the talent, determination, and heart of so many women who, day after day, build community, create opportunities, and inspire through their example.
As always, thank you to our readers, sponsors, and collaborators for joining us month after month and for making this space possible, where we share stories that deserve to be told. Your support inspires us to continue bringing positive, inspiring content filled with pride for our community.
Welcome to our May edition.
With gratitude,

We extend our gratitude to all the women entrepreneurs who, through their humanity, solidarity, and beauty, made possible the photograph featured in this edition.
To each of them, we express our sincere appreciation for representing, as “Women in Red,” the strength, resilience, and dedication that contribute to the social fabric of our community.

Midday on April 7 felt different at Southwest University Park. Between gloves snapping shut, baseballs flying across the field, hot dogs, cold beer, and a crowd ready to kick off the home season, the El Paso Chihuahuas welcomed the Albuquerque Isotopes for a matchup that had it all: home runs, strong relief pitching, and an energy that turned the afternoon into a true baseball celebration.
Although the scoreboard ultimately favored Albuquerque 8–4, the game was anything but dull. The Isotopes came out aggressively in the first inning and managed to score in each of the first four innings, quickly building a lead that put pressure on the Chihuahuas early on.
But if there’s one thing that defines baseball in El Paso, it’s that there’s never a shortage of excitement. The moment that electrified the stadium came courtesy of Jase Bowen, who blasted a powerful two-run home run — his third of the season — bringing the crowd back to life and reminding fans why he has become one of the team’s most exciting offensive weapons this year. Shortly after, Samad Taylor added a solo shot of his own, keeping hopes of a comeback alive.
On the mound, one of the standout performances came from Misael Tamarez, who delivered two perfect innings and remains untouchable this season, allowing no runs or hits through his

first 4.1 innings of the year. Every pitch seemed to reinforce the idea that the Chihuahuas bullpen has serious potential this season.
The afternoon also brought a special moment for Major League Baseball fans. As part of a rehab assignment with the San Diego Padres, Japanese pitcher Yuki Matsui took the mound and threw a scoreless inning, generating excitement throughout the ballpark. Infielder Sung-Mun Song also entered the game as a defensive replacement in the eighth inning.
With an attendance of 7,237 fans and nearly three hours of nonstop action, the game confirmed something Chihuahuas supporters already know well: even in defeat, a Chihuahuas game is a vibrant experience. Between towering hits, music, families enjoying the afternoon from the stands, and the sun setting over downtown El Paso, baseball once again proved why it remains one of the border region’s favorite spectacles.
And best of all, the season is only getting started.
A special thank you to The Station Urban Offices for the invitation and hospitality during this exciting afternoon at the ballpark. Their support helped make the experience even more memorable as the Chihuahuas kicked off another thrilling season in downtown El Paso.

In October 2025, I traveled with my family to the island of O‘ahu in Hawaii to celebrate my parents’ 40th wedding anniversary. What began as a family vacation turned into a journey filled with unforgettable landscapes, emotional moments, and memories that still make me smile. We stayed at The Twin Fin Hotel, right across from Kuhio Beach, with a view of Diamond Head. Waking up every morning facing the Pacific Ocean and constantly spotting rainbows made it easy to understand why Hawaii is known as “The Rainbow State.”
Waikiki had a fascinating atmosphere. Its streets, bursting with restaurants, shops, and strong Asian influence, created an energy that felt relaxed, vibrant, and welcoming. The warmth of the people made us feel at home from the very first day. One of the most powerful experiences was visiting Pearl Harbor National Memorial. Walking through the USS Missouri and visiting the USS Arizona Memorial was deeply moving, blending history, respect, and reflection. We also visited Honolulu Zoo and Waimea Falls, where the trail surrounded by tropical vegetation became just as impressive as the waterfalls themselves.
At Dole Plantation, we tried the famous pineapple soft serve and ended up getting lost in its enormous maze, while at Green World Coffee Farm we enjoyed fresh coffee surrounded by coffee fields and complete tranquility. The trip ended with a sunset boat ride. From the middle of the ocean, we watched the sun disappear into the Pacific while rainbows stretched across the mountains of O‘ahu. My parents stood together watching the horizon, and I realized there could not have been a better way to celebrate forty years of love than by sharing a view like that.
Hawaii gave us beaches, history, and breathtaking nature. More importantly, it reminded us that the best journeys are the ones shared with the right people.

At a time when borders around the world are being redefined through technology, economics, and international collaboration, the Global Border Summit 2026 emerged as one of the most significant gatherings envisioning the future of the U.S.-Mexico border region. Held on March 26 at the historic The Plaza Hotel Pioneer Park, the forum brought together business leaders, academics, diplomats, and government representatives for a day centered on dialogue, innovation, and strategic partnerships.
Organized by The Borderplex Alliance, an independent binational organization focused on advancing regional economic development, the summit highlighted how the Borderplex — connecting El Paso, Ciudad Juárez, and Las Cruces — has become a growing hub of opportunity and global competitiveness.
Opening remarks emphasized leadership and regional cooperation, led by David Osborn and Jon Barela, alongside officials from both sides of the border, including Renard Johnson, Eric Enriquez, and Mauricio Ibarra Ponce de León.
One of the summit’s central themes focused on the rapid growth of digital infrastructure in the Borderplex. The panel Powered by the Border explored how the region is positioning itself as a strategic center for technological and energy expansion, featuring representatives from Meta, El Paso Electric, and El Paso Water. Discussions also addressed the challenges and opportunities surrounding international trade during USMCA at a Crossroads, where experts examined the future of the trade agreement between Mexico, the United States, and Canada, as well as its impact on regional competitiveness.
Another key conversation, The Borderplex Blueprint, focused on building a binational economy capable of competing on a global scale. Speakers agreed that cross-border collaboration is no longer optional, but essential for attracting investment, strengthening supply chains, and driving sustainable growth.
The future-oriented vision of the summit continued with Launching the Future, a discussion centered on the emerging space economy and the Borderplex’s potential as a platform for aerospace innovation. Academic leaders from The University of Texas at El Paso and New Mexico State University joined representatives from the U.S. Space Force to explore new opportunities in science, technology, and innovation.
Beyond conversations about border infrastructure and ports of entry as economic engines, the forum also dedicated significant attention to artificial intelligence and its growing influence on the global economy. Experts from Microsoft and the technology sector reflected on the challenges and possibilities of an increasingly accelerated digital transformation.
One of the most anticipated moments of the event was the keynote address by Carly Fiorina, former CEO of HewlettPackard and the first woman to lead a Fortune 50 company. Fiorina shared reflections on leadership, innovation, and organizational transformation, inspiring attendees through a career defined by turning challenges into opportunities.
More than a series of discussions, the Global Border Summit 2026 reinforced the idea that the future of border regions will depend on their ability to collaborate, innovate, and build bridges across sectors, nations, and communities. In an increasingly complex global landscape, the Borderplex is positioning itself as an international model for integration, shared vision, and strategic development.
The border has ceased to be a boundary and has become an epicenter of global growth.

There are colors that are not only seen, but felt. Red belongs to that category. It carries something that commands presence even in silence, as if it speaks before the person themselves do. It is intensity, but also life; it is drive, but also heart. The color red is often associated with energy, determination, and action, yet in its most human form it can also speak of passion, dedication, and everything that is done with conviction.
That tone becomes a meeting point. At Border Heritage, red is not only worn, it is represented as part of our identity built on strength, roots, and character. Under that symbol, we have brought together seventeen businesswomen and leaders who, despite their different paths, share the same determination. Many of them have built their journeys while being mothers, professionals, and creators of projects born from real experiences, life-changing decisions, and a constant drive to move forward. Each story honors the borderland spirit and reflects an identity shaped by pride, resilience, and vision.
What unites them is not a single profile, but a way of living their stories. Each one has learned to hold onto ideas in times of change, to turn adversity into momentum, and to find purpose in what they build day by day. Their paths reflect discipline, but also intuition; hard work, but also a deep sensitivity toward the people and communities around them.
Seen together, they are not simply a group of women dressed in red. They represent different forms of leadership that meet in the ability to move forward without losing essence. And in that meeting, red stops being just a color and becomes a shared presence, a way of being in the world with strength, identity, and intention.
The photographs featured in this article were taken at Star Central Studios, located at 1105 Yandell Dr., a creative space that supports audiovisual and artistic projects along the border. We deeply appreciate their hospitality and for opening their doors to bring this session to life, celebrating the strength, identity, and vision of these women.

From an early age, Jacqueline García Martínez understood that talent needs direction in order to become opportunity. Born in El Paso, she has dedicated her career to building spaces where discipline, image, and preparation become real tools for professional growth through Bazaar Models, a talent agency that trains, represents, and projects models, actors, and personalities with international vision. Her work goes far beyond representation. Through platforms such as Texas International Fashion Week and pageants including Miss El Paso USA, Miss Texas Earth, and Top Model of the World USA, she has created stages that connect emerging talent with the fashion and entertainment industries, opening doors that transform careers.
The creation of her agency in 2009 came from a clear observation of her environment: talent was abundant, but structured preparation and professional guidance were missing. That realization marked the beginning of a project that has since evolved into a comprehensive development platform. The journey has not been without demands, especially within a highly competitive industry, yet every challenge strengthened her vision and reinforced the importance of building with consistency and purpose. For Jacqueline, success has shifted into a more human definition, where the impact on people’s lives carries more weight than any external recognition. Seeing young individuals grow in confidence, develop their skills, and achieve their goals remains, for her, the most meaningful measure of accomplishment.

Guided by discipline, excellence, and integrity, she draws inspiration from women who have carved their own paths from the ground up, creating opportunities rather than waiting for them. That same mindset has led her to build teams, nurture talent, and develop projects that continue to elevate industry standards. Beyond her professional life, her world revolves around her family, especially her role as a mother, which she describes as her greatest source of balance. In those personal spaces, she finds the motivation to keep building, staying closely involved in her son’s growth while remaining grounded.
Jacquelinecontinues to shape a legacy rooted in talent development, opportunity creation, and the belief that leadership is also defined by the paths we open for others.

etween the glow of fine jewelry and the strength of commercial construction, Leticia Diamond has built a life defined by discipline, perseverance, and a deep commitment to her community. Born in Mexico, and with more than 35 years in the Jewelry Industry, she has shaped her entrepreneurial journey through International Jewelers & Diamond Construction, bringing together two distinct industries under one guiding philosophy, to always work with honesty, dedication, and integrity.
Behind every professional accomplishment lies a deeply human story. For Leticia, one of the greatest challenges was balancing her role as a businesswoman while raising her young children, managing the demands of work, school, and family life all at once. Those years taught her the true meaning of resilience and reinforced her belief in perseverance and discipline as essential foundations for achieving any goal.
Beyond business, her greatest pride is her family. Watching two of her children become successful computer engineers and supporting her daughter as she pursues her dream of studying medicine represents the most meaningful reward of a life built on hard work and unconditional love. Her story reflects the belief that success is not measured only by personal achievements, but also by the values and opportunities passed on to future
Deeply committed to the well-being of others, Leticia also dedicates part of her time to organizations such as El Paso Junior League and member of the board of Five Points Development Association, where she actively contributes to the growth and strengthening of her community.
With a generous spirit and unwavering determination, Leticia Diamond hopes to inspire other women not to fear success, understanding that every achievement comes through sacrifice, courage, and consistent hard work. The legacy she hopes to leave behind is one rooted in commitment, honesty, and social responsibility, reminding others of the importance of investing in the future and development of

Driven by her passion for caregiving and her deep sensitivity toward childhood development, Paulina Villar created a space where children could learn, heal, and grow through a more compassionate and human-centered approach. This vision became Sunny Learning Center, a project dedicated to child development and emotional well-being, combining early education, sensory therapies, and experiences connected to nature.
Originally from El Paso, Paulina found inspiration in her background as a nurse and in her desire to support families through a more holistic perspective. Through outdoor activities, interaction with animals, and horse-assisted therapies, she has created an environment where every child can develop at their own pace while feeling understood, supported, and cared for.
Her journey has not been easy. Choosing a different path — one that blends education, emotional wellness, and a connection with nature — required her to trust her intuition and remain committed to her vision. Yet every step forward and every family that finds support through her work reminds her of the purpose behind what she does.
For Paulina, true success is found in everyday impact: in a family’s sense of peace, in a child’s smile, and in the small moments that transform lives. Guided by values such as empathy, respect, and authenticity, she hopes to leave behind a legacy rooted in conscious education, where love, emotional connection, and overall well-being are valued just as deeply as learning itself.

ometimes, the most powerful stories are born from love and the desire to transform a personal experience into hope for others. This is how the journey of Argelia García began. Originally from Ciudad Juárez, she found in her experience as the mother of a teenager with autism the strength and purpose to create Tu Mundo Es Mi Mundo, an organization dedicated to providing guidance, information, and support to families connected to autism.
What started as a search for understanding and support soon became a deeply human mission: creating spaces where other families could feel heard, supported, and understood. Through her work, Argelia promotes awareness, empathy, and inclusion, helping bring visibility to realities that for many years remained unseen and unspoken.
Her journey has not been without challenges. Balancing her personal life with such emotionally demanding work has taught her the value of resilience, patience, and consistency. Over time, she came to understand that true impact is not born from perfection, but from the genuine love and dedication with which things are built every day.
Guided by values such as authenticity, integrity, and social commitment, Argelia has found strength within her own story. Inspired by her mother’s teachings and deeply transformed by motherhood, she has learned to remain true to herself even during life’s most difficult moments. For her, success means touching lives, creating awareness, and contributing to a more compassionate and understanding society.
Beyond her social work, she finds balance in the moments she shares with her family and friends, as well as in the quiet spaces that allow her to reconnect with herself. She believes in the power of life’s simple moments and in the importance of emotional wellbeing as an essential part of any meaningful purpose.
With sensitivity and determination, Argelia García continues to open paths toward greater understanding and inclusion, leaving behind a legacy rooted in empathy, social awareness, and the transformative love that emerges when a woman chooses to turn her story into light for others.

Her work focuses on helping each client find healthcare coverage options and protection plans that truly meet their present and future needs. Beyond providing a service, Aurora believes in offering peace of mind, trust, and genuine human support during life’s most important moments.
Guided by discipline, ethics, and respect for others, she has built a career grounded in consistency between her values and her actions. The greatest influence in her life has been her mother, a strong and resilient woman who continues to inspire her with her determination and strength even at 84 years old.
For Aurora, one of her proudest achievements has been earning her degree in Foreign Trade, firmly believing that education is one of the most important foundations for both personal and professional growth. Outside of work, she finds joy in music, dancing, and especially Spanish dance, passions that remain an essential part of her life.
With honesty and compassion, Aurora Lievanos hopes to leave behind a legacy rooted in integrity, leading by example, and the importance of always acting from the heart.

Kenia Arriola, originally from El Paso, has dedicated much of her life to building community and creating genuine connections among people. Through Arriola Foundation, she leads initiatives, events, and experiences that encourage mutual support, a sense of belonging, and collective wellbeing. Her commitment is also reflected in the projects she is involved with at Southwest University and within her family businesses, where she continues to create opportunities to serve and inspire others.
One of the most significant moments in her life was the passing of her mother-in-law, Yolanda Arriola, who left a profound impact on her through her generosity, compassion, and ability to connect with others. Rather than trying to replace her, Kenia chose to honor her legacy by continuing the path of service and empathy that she began. This experience deeply shaped both her personal and professional purpose, becoming the inspiration behind many of her actions and projects.
Motherhood has been another transformative influence in her life. Becoming a mother taught her to value life’s small moments, find balance, and understand that there is also strength in slowing down. Although she has always been a driven and goal-oriented woman, she now recognizes that

being present for her family is one of the most meaningful and valuable decisions she has made.
Kenia lives by principles such as honesty, fairness, and authenticity. Deeply influenced by her mother — a generous, organized woman with strong faith — she learned that acting with intention and strong values is the foundation for building both a meaningful life and impactful work. For her, success is not measured by material achievements, but by the blessing of having a loving family, good health, and supportive people around her.
Remaining true to herself through every stage of her journey, Kenia Arriola hopes to be remembered as a woman who lived with love, acted with authenticity, and left a positive mark on both her family and her community, inspiring other women to pursue their dreams without losing their essence.

For Linda Uribe, a property represents far more than a transaction; it is the place where new chapters begin, memories are created, and each person’s lifestyle takes shape. Originally from Aguascalientes, Mexico, she has developed Team Juan Uribe with a vision that combines real estate expertise, aesthetic sensitivity, and personalized attention, creating experiences designed to connect clients with spaces that truly reflect who they are.
Throughout her career, she has integrated residential buying, selling, and investment services with presentation, staging, and design consulting, believing that every detail influences the way a space is perceived and experienced. Her approach blends strategy and creativity, allowing each project to carry its own identity and a carefully curated visual presence.
The starting point of her entrepreneurial journey came with her first real estate transaction, an experience that confirmed her ability to build something aligned with her vision and standards. Since then, she has worked with discipline and consistency to establish a brand rooted in trust, authenticity, and excellence in service.
Over time, her definition of success evolved into something more personal and meaningful. Today, she associates it with the ability to live authentically, create positive impact, and build a life aligned with her values and aspirations. For Linda, true luxury lies in offering experiences that feel genuine, intentional, and memorable.
Outside of her professional life, she finds inspiration in fashion, design, travel, and environments that spark creativity. She also deeply values the moments shared with family and loved ones, understanding that personal balance is an essential part of growth.
Through every project, Linda Uribe continues to build a brand where elegance, intention, and connection become an essential part of the experience.

Between building businesses and nurturing her family life, Patricia Flores Warnock has learned to move forward with determination, intuition, and a strong sense of priorities. Originally from Coahuila, she has built her entrepreneurial path through Flowar, overseeing and developing concepts such as Tropical Smoothie Cafe, Marco’s Pizza, and Hand & Stone Spa in El Paso.
Her journey into entrepreneurship took shape when she opened her first business in the United States, an experience that brought both opportunity and the need for constant adaptation. One of her greatest lessons has been learning to balance motherhood with the demands of multiple ventures, understanding that progress sometimes requires stepping back, recalibrating, and focusing on what truly matters.
The values that guide her life are deeply rooted in respect, wellness, and health, principles shaped by the example of her mother, a woman she describes as resilient, kind, and strong. That influence remains a steady foundation in how she approaches every stage of her life.
Although her professional pace has shifted over time, Patricia continues to carry a passion for building, innovating, and exploring new projects. She is currently in a reflective stage, dedicating more time to her home and children while quietly shaping new ideas for the future.
For her, one of the greatest achievements is not only found in business, but in having built a life away from her place of origin, adapting to new environments and challenges with resilience. Her story reflects the quiet strength of a woman who has reinvented herself while keeping her family at the center of everything she builds.

For Mónica, interior design has always been much more than a profession; from a very young age, she found in spaces a form of expression, harmony, and well-being. Originally from Chihuahua, she transformed her passion for decoration and architecture into Ready2decor, a company dedicated to interior design, consulting, and residential and commercial décor.
Her passion was born in the small details of everyday life. As a child, she loved rearranging spaces, imagining warm and inviting environments, and getting lost in architecture and design magazines. Over the years, that natural instinct evolved into a career spanning more than two decades dedicated to designing, building, and transforming spaces with both style and functionality. Living in different regions of Mexico also gave her a deep appreciation for the country’s architectural beauty and rich cultural heritage.
An essential part of her journey has been sharing this project with her sister, friend, and business partner, with whom she has built a relationship grounded in trust, affection, and a shared vision. For Mónica, one of her greatest achievements has been developing her talent alongside her family while honoring the entrepreneurial spirit passed down through generations. Guided by a strong sense of responsibility and commitment to her clients, Mónica believes in always giving her best through her work. The values instilled in her by her parents — discipline, dedication, and the importance of fulfilling every goal — have played a vital role in both her personal and professional growth.
Outside of work, she finds her greatest inspiration in faith, in the love of her four children, and in the people who are part of her life. Her family, friendships, and the meaningful moments they share are the driving force that motivates her every day. Through every space she creates, Mónica hopes to leave behind a legacy of warmth, beauty, and authenticity, inspiring others to build environments that reflect love, identity, and the importance of living surrounded by harmony.

Over the years, Sereka Barlow has built a vision of leadership deeply connected to service and community. Originally from Shreveport, Louisiana, she is now part of YWCA El Paso del Norte Region, an organization dedicated to providing comprehensive support to women, children, and families through programs focused on early childhood education, wellness, housing, and assistance for individuals facing vulnerable circumstances.
Her understanding of success has evolved over time. What was once tied to personal accomplishments and individual achievements now carries a much broader meaning. For Sereka, true impact lies in creating opportunities for others, strengthening communities, and supporting people as they work toward more stable and dignified lives. She firmly believes that growth becomes more meaningful when it is built collectively.
Much of that perspective was shaped by the influence of her grandmother, the woman who has had the greatest impact on her life. From her, she learned the value of community, the importance of extending a hand to others, and the ability to create bonds that go beyond blood relations. That sense of humanity continues to guide both her personal and professional life.
With a strong spiritual foundation, Sereka strives to keep her decisions aligned with faith, believing that every person has a purpose and that empathy can become a powerful force for transformation. Laura Magee has made it her mission to transform spaces into places filled with warmth, personality, and life. Originally from Chihuahua, she found in interior design a way to blend creativity, sensitivity, and entrepreneurial vision through Ready2Decor, a firm dedicated to residential and commercial décor as well as home staging, creating inviting and visually appealing environments for those looking to sell or live in spaces with a unique sense of identity.
Alongside Monica — who is also featured in this edition — Laura has built more than a business partnership; together they have created a bond rooted in trust, mutual support, and a shared passion for design. As sisters, friends, and business partners, they have carved out their place in a competitive industry, driven by the belief that thoughtfully designed spaces can transform the lives of the people who inhabit them.
For Laura, entrepreneurship has meant learning to stand firm in the face of doubt and uncertainty. One of the most defining moments of her life was launching her business during the pandemic at the age of 58, without financial backing and relying only on her experience, intuition, and the unconditional support of her family. That chapter reinforced her belief that it is never too late to start over and that fear should never become a limitation.
Inspired by her paternal grandmother, a visionary and entrepreneurial woman ahead of her time, Laura has guided her life through values such as respect, honesty, and empathy. She strongly believes in the impact of words, actions, and the way people treat one another, both in business and in everyday life.

Beyond her professional work, she enjoys sharing experiences that encourage others to discover their potential and pursue their dreams with confidence. Through every project she undertakes, Laura Magee hopes to leave behind a legacy of professionalism, passion, and authenticity, proving that true success is built with love, courage, and purpose.

Today, she is the proud owner of Higher Level Skin and Beauty, a space in El Paso dedicated to helping clients look and feel their best through advanced facial and body treatments tailored to their individual needs.

Following in her mother’s footsteps, she pursued a career as a Registered Nurse, where she discovered her true calling in patient care. During her training, she worked at a hospice for terminally ill patients, an experience that profoundly shaped her compassion, emotional resilience, and dedication to caring for others with empathy and understanding.
Her passion for aesthetics later flourished while working at a plastic surgery clinic, where she became an essential part of the team and discovered her love for aesthetic medicine. Through years of professional experience, continued education, specialized certifications, and the use of advanced technology and highquality products, Adriana has built Higher Level Skin and Beauty into a respected and trusted name in the aesthetics industry.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Adriana is deeply devoted to her family and committed to maintaining a balance between her career and personal life. She is also passionate about animal welfare and supports responsible adoption efforts and organizations that help homeless animals. With a deep connection to the border community and a vision centered on human impact, Alejandra Loeza has built a career where communication, leadership, and service go hand in hand. Originally from Chihuahua, she is part of Raiz Federal Credit Union, a financial cooperative dedicated to supporting its members and strengthening the community through social programs, financial education, and accessible services.
One of the most defining moments of her career was co-leading the institution’s rebranding process, previously known as Teachers Federal Credit Union. More than a brand transformation, the project represented a major organizational evolution that challenged her strategic vision and her ability to build trust during times of change.
Guided by her values of integrity, empathy, and purpose, Alejandra believes in creating meaningful connections in both her professional and personal life. Much of that perspective comes from the example set by her grandmother, an entrepreneurial woman who taught her the importance of hard work, education, and the strength women possess to pave the way for future generations.
Outside of her career, she finds balance in the time she shares with her family and in the small moments that nurture her personal growth. For Alejandra, true success is not measured solely by professional achievements, but by the ability to create a positive impact, inspire others, and remain faithful to the values that give meaning to everything she builds.

reat business opportunities do not always begin inside a meeting room. Sometimes they are born from a casual conversation, an exchange of ideas between entrepreneurs, or an event where the right people meet at exactly the right moment. That was precisely the atmosphere experienced during the Business Networking event organized by the El Paso Hispanic Chamber of Commerce on April 8 at the Mexican American Cultural Center.
With a dynamic, welcoming, and energetic atmosphere, business owners, entrepreneurs, and leaders from different industries gathered to share experiences, build partnerships, and discover new opportunities for growth in an increasingly competitive and digital marketplace.
In collaboration with Telemundo and NBCUniversal Local, the event featured conversations focused on the future of communication.
The gathering created space for authentic discussions about innovation, brand visibility, and adapting to emerging market trends. Attendees gained practical strategies to strengthen their business presence while learning how digital tools are transforming the relationship between businesses and consumers.
But perhaps the most valuable part of the evening was the sense of community. In a city as dynamic and diverse as El Paso, events like these have become essential in strengthening the local business ecosystem. Networking events do more than create professional contacts; they build trust, encourage collaboration, and foster support among entrepreneurs facing similar challenges.
At a time when digital connections dominate much of modern communication, in-person gatherings like this serve as a reminder of the irreplaceable value of human interaction. A face-to-face conversation still has the power to open doors, inspire projects, and transform ideas into real opportunities.

When entrepreneurs unite, industries can change.

El Paso’s generosity took center stage on Saturday as the El Paso Children’s Hospital Foundation hosted The Greatest Show: Hope Under the Big Top, a vintage circus–themed gala that transformed the El Paso Country Club into a vibrant Big Top celebration. The soldout evening brought together community leaders, philanthropic partners, and supporters for an immersive night of entertainment and purpose, all to advance pediatric care for families across the Borderplex.
Guests stepped into a richly imagined circus atmosphere filled with bold décor, dynamic live performances, and heartfelt program moments that underscored the lifechanging impact of El Paso Children’s Hospital. The evening also honored the generosity of Title Sponsor Labinoti Law Firm, whose support helps sustain critical pediatric programs, advanced medical equipment, and familycentered services that strengthen care for children across the region.
“This year’s EPCH Foundation Gala was a shining example of what is possible when a community comes together with kindness, generosity, and purpose,” said Carolyn Williams, Interim Executive Director. “Thanks to this collective generosity, we are not only celebrating an unforgettable evening, but also advancing hope and life-changing care for every child who walks through the doors of El
Hospital.”

As the region’s only separately licensed, notforprofit pediatric hospital within a 350mile radius, and one of just 250 pediatric specialty hospitals nationwide, El Paso Children’s Hospital continues to serve as a vital resource for children requiring specialized care. The Foundation’s gala further elevated that mission, demonstrating how community involvement directly enhances the hospital’s ability to deliver highquality, compassionate care close to home.
