Primero el ver reflejado una de las ciudades con la que comenzamos como lo es El Paso,Texas, por su carácter, su gente, su infraestructura y como parte importante de nuestra región, ha sido reconfortante, y segundo el ver la suma del esfuerzo y el trabajo de todo el equipo que conformamosesteproyecto,ademásdelosqueahorasesuman,tanto en línea como en publicación.

Ahora hemos dedicado la siguiente edición a la ciudad hermana de El Paso, como lo es Ciudad Juárez, de quien ahora ocupara el sitio en nuestras páginas centrales.

y clientes dieron toquecitos con sus cucharas a los vasos y así nació la tradición para pedir café que desde entonces no ha dejado de sonar.

El Gran Café de la Parroquia es un café tradicional para contar y escuchar historias, para deleitar los sentidos, degustar el mejor café y comida regional veracruzana, recordar viejos boleros y como también solía decir un antiguo spot de radio: “en su próximo viaje a Veracruz venga al café para componer el mundo con un lechero”.

he phone rang around 10:30 a.m. Someone called to confirmourappointmentforaninterviewwithLeonardo Nierman at 11:45 a.m. Rushing it to be on time, I waswonderingwhattheymightthingaboutourlateness, something that really frightened me to death.To be late is like not to arrive at all! Luckily, my photographer with his odd respectful demeanor arrived at the office just in time and we went over to El Paso Museum of Art for our interview at “European Artists” hall.

Por fortuna mi compañero fotógrafo,consupeculiarestilo,derespetoysencillezllegó a la oficina y apurados nos trasladamos al Museo de Arte, ahínosaguardabanuestroentrevistadoenlasalade‘artistas europeos’.

During our chat, Leonardo’s eyes got misty and blue. Still, Leonardmanagedtoreboundfromthatsadness.Itamazed me the love that he felt for the music played by him. He felt a true passion for tunes, and he declared himself as a true fan of Bach, Handel, and Beethoven, among others.

“Aprendí armonía… armonía para ver la vida, para ver la muerte,paravereltiempo,paraverelamor,paraverloque valelapena,armoníaparaverelusoquelequeríaayudara mi vida”, dice en tono nostálgico.

Forseveralmonths,Neirmanpolishedhisideauntilhefound the key to become one of the greatest artists in Mexico, he said.

“Ilearnedharmony…harmonytoperceivelifeanddeath; to pay attention to time and love, to discover what really is worth.HarmonytoknowwhatIreallywantedtodowithmy life,” Leonardo added in a nostalgic voice.

“AswalkingbyMexicoCityHistoricDistrict,formerlyknown as San Juan de Letran, I dropped by a shop where they sold equipment for artists. Staring at the window, a box fullofcolorfulpencilscaughtmyattention,sincetheywere arranges as a rainbow. After attending Ciudad Universitaria Campus, Neriman stateshediscoveredhistruecallingwhilepaintingamural, under Mexican painter David Alfaro Siqueiros guidance.

“I am in debt with Siqueiros.There was a large wall atTrade andAdministrationBuilding.Iattendedthatschool.AndI said to myself,‘I could use this wall to plaster a painting. It was like the wall was flirting with me.”

Con alegría expresó que en ese momento descubrió que “el arte debe de ser un juego, en el momento que el arte se convierte en trabajo lo perviertes. Debe de ser juego, una cosa relacionada con el espíritu, no con el trabajo”.

Algunas piezas expuestas, muestran esta influencia que prácticamente estuvo arraigada durante todo el virreinato, tres siglos en que los artistas novohispanos plasmaron en mayor o menor medida los ideales de Leonardo y Miguel Ángel.

Both painters changed the way to conceive art.

That way, both influenced the artists on that era, and who spread their own vision towards new borders.

Los estudios sobre el tratado de Vitrubio dieron pie a la búsqueda por entender al cuerpo humano, las plantas y los animales, a la naturaleza, a los astros, que llevaron a conformar una manera diferente de observar al universo y esta vez, el Palacio de Bellas nos abre la posibilidad de acercarnos a los dos mayores representantes de esa época en dos salas que muestran su visión, pero sobre todo su sensibilidad reflejada en cada uno de los trazos ahí expuestos.

The number of visitors who have passed through the halls bear witness to the expectation that caused the arrival of only a hint of the work of these two great artists. The proximity of people to Leonardo and Michelangelo has become evident with the high demand for the exhibition.

With its influence in New Spain these two artists are now displayed in Palacio de Bellas Artes in a different context, but it appears with the same force of more than 500 years ago.

Para lavarlas hay que ir al río, el cual generalmente queda fuera del pueblo.

En fin, la cocina, en estas siempre interesantes tierras, es la habitación principal del hogar. Es en donde las abuelas específicamente y las mujeres en general se concentran durante el día. Allí están los bebes y los niños menores, es la entrada a la casa y en donde éstas trabajadoras mujeres presumensucoleccióndeenseresdecocina,siempreordenados y muy brillantes.

This year the Mexico’s Casa de Moneda celebrated 480 years as a mint founded during the colonial era of the New Spain, which continues to operate with efficiency and contributes to the aggrandizement of the economic, historical and cultural heritage of our country.

Mexico’s Casa de Moneda operated for nearly three centuries in a building located next to the National Palace in the heart of the country, specifically on the aptly dubbed Calle de Moneda, or“street of currency.” Later other offices launched in the historic center of the Mexico City and the state of San Luis Potosi.

n 2012 the Town Hall of Barcelona Spain declared the cityofBarcelonacityanti-taurine,anddecidedtobanthe bullfightsinthecityofCondal.Inaddition,thiscausesconcerntothebullfightingfans,theEuropeanParliamenthas abillpendingwhichprohibitsthebullfightsthroughoutthe EuropeanUnionandIamafraidthatafterwhathappenedin Barcelona,thisprojectcanbeapprovedandactivatedagain putting a definitive end to the Fiesta Brava in Europe.Why doesthishappen?Becauseinbetweenthecurrentpopulation,mainlyamongtheyoungpopulation,agrowingsensitivitybythepreservationoftheenvironmentandtheabsoluterespectformothernaturewhichhasarousedinthem, the urgent need to combat the violence and cruelty that someanimalsarevictimsof,particularlythefightingbulls.
