Belvidere Township Youth Recreation Scholarship WHERE OPPORTUNITY MEETS NEED The Belvidere Township and Belvidere Family YMCA are collaborating to offer a sliding scale scholarship program for youth that reside in Belvidere Township. They have teamed up to offer qualifying youth in Belvidere Township discounted rates to participate in youth programs offered at the Belvidere Y, which include swim lessons, sports leagues, and karate.

DO YOU QUALIFY?

• Live within Belvidere Township limits • Be under the age of 18 • Commit to attend at least 80% of program • Meet financial guidelines • Complete application & provide supporting documents

PERSONAL TRAINING If you’re looking for conditioning, improved athletic performance or just someone to motivate you, then our certified personal trainers will tailor an exercise program to meet your needs. Please contact the Y for more details. Fee:

YMCA BARRACUDA COMPETITIVE SWIM TEAM (5 - 21 years) The prime objective of the Belvidere YMCA Swim Team is to mold healthy & trustworthy future citizens through emphasizing the ideals of good sportsmanship, loyalty, perseverance, courage & reverence. This is accomplished through development & improvement of swimming skills & techniques. As swimmers mature in the sport, they learn problem-solving skills that are applicable in many life situations. In addition, they develop a sound foundation for their own physical fitness. Swimmers need to be able to swim 1 length of the pool using freestyle arms & face in the water. Rookie Week: Sept. 21st - 25th. Regular Team Practice Begins: Sept. 28th Check out the Team website at www.belviderebarracudas.org. A Family Membership is required to be on the team & must be kept for an entire year from the date you start it (example Sept. to Sept.).
