Slow down near bus stops & watch out for kids.
Arrive at the bus stop at least five minutes early to avoid rushing and never run to or from the bus.
Red flashing lights and an extended stop arm means the school bus has stopped to load or unload children. On four-lane roadway with at least 2 lanes of traffic traveling in the opposite direction, only those lanes of traffic traveling in the same direction as the school bus MUST STOP. Look out for children in residential areas, playgrounds & school zones. Watch for children on bicycles, especially at intersections & driveways. Young bicyclists have a tendency to dart out without looking for traffic. PLEASE PRACTICE SOCIAL DISTANCING & WEAR YOUR FACE MASK

When waiting at the bus stop, stand at least five giant steps away from the curb. Wait until the bus comes to complete stop, the door opens and the driver gives you the okay before approaching the bus. Make sure the bus driver can see you. Always take at least ten giant steps forward before crossing in front of the bus, & never behind it. Use the handrails when entering or exiting the bus to keep your balance, & never push or shove. If
you drop something near the bus, don’t try to pick it up. Tell the bus driver instead. Always look left, right and left again before crossing the street. Cross at crosswalks or corners whenever possible, & never cross from in between parked cars.
