nnually voted among the Top Life & Executive Coaches around the globe, the lovely Amy Sinton is an International Coach, Business Trainer, and Public Speaker.

Amy chose to coach people because it is her passion to support people in living a better quality life, having more fulfilling relationships, and boosting their careers.

She earned her coaching certifications at CoachWise Academy more than two years ago - it is one of the first coaching schools in Poland with a very structured and renowned methodology in terms of coaching. She is also a graduate of the Harvard Business School Online with a specialisation in leadership and management.

Within the large sphere of life and business coaching, Amy has found her niche. A mother to three wonderful children, she loves to support parents to boost their career and improve work-life balance.

“It took me a while to come up with a specific niche - as I can

use my coaching methodology for almost all types of personal life and business coaching sessions. Yet some time back, I understood that as of the fact that I am a working Mum, it would be great to focus a little more on working with parents as well as people aiming to achieve more in their career.

But I work with all different types of people - not just parents and not just people who are working,” she shares.

When Amy started out a couple of years back, she found it difficult to explain the concept

of ‘coaching’ to certain people, especially those not working in the corporate world or those who’d never heard of nonsports related coaching. Some even assumed that it is the same as therapy!

“It is different as it focuses less on the past of a person, and more on the future and accomplishment of goals. It does have some similarities though, as we as coaches talk with people about their emotions, fears, certain patterns in behaviour and choices,” she explains.

For Amy, another big challenge was juggling motherhood with coaching. The exhaustion is real for sure, she tells us, adding that she overcame it by listening to her own needs: “Truly caring about yourself and attending to your needs, just as you do to others’ needs, is very important. Not overlooking your own needs on behalf of what another fully capable adult can do for themselves. Over the years, I have gotten more skilled in managing this for myself, more aware, and gained some more understanding through tough experiences as well as learning about such concepts. But a long time ago, I did not do that.

So don’t make it a routine habit to put your needs after other people’s needs.”

Seeing how some people have successfully dealt with certain challenges in their lives is what inspired Amy to pursue her path in terms of her niche. “I have seen people find a lot of value in coaching sessions and what it brings to their lives.

This is a very rewarding feeling to me. I sometimes even do sessions pro-bono if I see that someone really cannot afford to have a paid session,” she reveals.

Such pure dedication has seen Amy honoured at prestigious global forums such as: ‘Top 10 Executive Coaches of 2022’ and ‘Top 20 Life Coaches To Look Out For In 2022’ by NYC Journal; ‘Women Leaders To Look Up To In 2023’ by Passion Vista Magazine; and many others. She has over 100 videos about coaching and self-development on her YouTube channel, and gets invited to public speaking events all around the world.

Fluent in English, Polish and Russian languages, she has lived in many countries and has a large experience in multicultural environments.

Born for the Stage

D

ouglas Vermeeren was born for the stage. A Stunt Actor, Personal Development Expert, Speaker, and Author - versatile Vermeeren has successfully dabbled across a host of creative professions since the age of five. “From the beginning, I was always attracted to film and television.

I knew that somehow I would have a career in this industry.”

Douglas began as a child actor on a TV show for CBC in Canada. Since then, he has acted and performed stunts in Hollywood movies, Independent films, and TV shows, the most recent of which include ‘Tenants’, ‘How To Be A Hitman 101’, and ‘Courage’.

The best thing I do on my list is ‘delegate’, which means I don’t have to be the one to do everything on my list. You have to learn to delegate to live your best life because your best life attracts everything to you.

In addition to delegating, it is also learning to trust the right people, and I am blessed to have great people around me.”

Interestingly, he credits the women in his life for shaping him into the man he is today. “The most significant influences have come from my mom and grandmother. Of course my father was there too, and he had things to teach, but I believe the women in our life are often the more vital teachers. These two highly influential, strong, and powerful women taught me how to associate with other females and people in general.

Watching them taught me how to live a life with dignity and respect. People have a very public persona of who they are, and their private one often doesn’t match. My memories of this skewed concept are that it was instilled in me to be the best I can be in both public and private situations. This has helped me lead an authentic life above all else.”

DR. CHANDRASHEKHAR THODUPUNURI D

Global Pioneer in Autism Prevention & Cure

r Chandrashekhar Thodupunuri is a highly educated and accomplished cardiologist who went on from working in the most prestigious hospitals in India to founding and being the Director & CEO of Providence Microbiome Research Center & Resplice autism research foundation; what intrigued him to research and lead experts to find ways to improve the quality of life for people dealing with neurodevelopmental disorders, with a particular focus on autism spectrum disorders.

As a young boy, Dr Chandrashekhar had always been fascinated by the world around him. He loved to explore, learn, and push the boundaries of what was possible. He spent countless hours poring over books, studying the works of great minds from every field. A relentless curiosity drove him, and he believed there was nothing he couldn’t accomplish if he set his mind to it.

As he grew older, his passion for learning only intensified.

He developed a fascination towards biology and was very curious about the evolution of life on Earth.

And he was also very much

interested in the evolution of the nervous system in the animal kingdom, which says it helped when life gave him a challenge in the form of his daughter’s condition. He also states that the origin of DNA in the primordial soup led to the development of unicellular prokaryotes, which evolved into eukaryotes and multicellular organisms. He thinks that understanding the epigenetic mechanisms involved in this process of evolution is vital in the conceptualization of Autism.

He is now determined to make a breakthrough, to discover something new that would change the world for kids with Autism.

After completing his MBBS degree and a Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Cardiology, Dr Chandrashekhar began practising cardiology.

However, after his daughter was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, he started researching the condition.

Dr Chandrashekhar followed a fellowship program in the United States to find a treatment for her condition and discovered that Autism is preventable. As a result of his expertise, he dedicated his life to helping children with Autism and spreading awareness of

this widespread condition.

His pursuit of autism research introduced him to some remarkable scientists and inspiring parents whose autistic children had been cured. From their tales, he learned about the “hologenome hypothesis of evolution,” which is pertinent for Autism and many other diseases.

Dr Chandrashekhar was inspired to start the Providence Microbiome Research Center after learning that Autism is curable and preventable.

After years of research, he has learned that the human body and a few species of bacteria that reside in the human gut function as a single unit at the genetic level. These microbes are expected to move vertically throughout pregnancy from the mother’s uterus to the baby’s intestines. He believes that when this association is broken because of toxins or antibiotics, it results in many chronic diseases; when it is damaged during pregnancy, it results in epigenetic errors that cause structural abnormalities during brain development, which can result in Autism or a global Developmental delay.

Dr Chandrashekhar and his team discovered two contributing factors to

ASD: umbilical cord blood toxins and the fetal gut microbiome. Environmental toxins can cross the placental barrier, enter the fetus, and cause neurodevelopmental disorders. Microbiota transfer therapy (FMT) clinical trials showed promising results in autistic children.

Therefore, Dr Chandrashekhar hypothesized that reducing the toxin load in pregnant mothers would protect the fetal gut microbiome, thereby preventing epigenetic errors responsible for Autism.

To pursue his growing research, he left his thriving cardiology career to focus on autism prevention and amelioration, starting at Providence Microbiome Research Center in September 2020. Unfortunately, the study at PMRC was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

However, PMRC registered its first trial in February 2022 and designed a roadmap for three human and three animal studies on autism prevention during the pandemic.

PMRC is currently conducting a clinical trial, Fecal Microbiota Transfer Therapy for Autism, which explores the relationship between the gut microbiome

and human epigenetics and its relevance in the development of Autism. PMRC is also conducting other studies such as umbilical cord blood toxicology, meconium microbial population study, and animal studies to explore the aetiology and pathogenesis of Autism.

Chandrashekhar is developing child development centres which provide therapies to autistic children at affordable cost. This foundation is also working on business models to address the problem of autistic adults with no social support by developing nursing homes for autistic adults.

What inspires her to heal the world, we ask her.

“Every strong Black woman who chooses to rise up, face adversity, and walk in her purpose, has been an inspiration to me. I am inspired by every Black woman who was ‘the first’ to walk in a lane and open doors for other Black women and girls behind her.”

This strategy should include policies and procedures for data access, use, storage, and sharing. Once the data governance strategy is in place, the leader should then focus on developing initiatives to drive value from the data. This could involve setting specific objectives for data-driven projects, such as increasing customer retention, increasing operational efficiency, and improving decision-making.

The leader should also ensure that the organization has the appropriate data analytics tools and resources in place to support these initiatives. It is thus obvious now that I believe in Hardwork and not luck”.

Born in1986, Igor is a Slovenian with global exposure. He tells us that ever since his youth, he was clear that he wanted to be an entrepreneur and a leader.

“I wanted to be the best and I did not think a lot about other things.” The most difficult part was finding the purpose - What exactly would he like to deliver and what would this mean for every living being? Luckily for him, he found the inspiration to create things as they were never done before.

“I always liked to go the extra mile, even as a child.

In school, when there was a reading competition and the obligation was to read 3-5 books, I always read more for extra points and a certificate.

If there was a competition in mathematics, I would go for that as well. After primary school, I finished my high school graduation in Slovenia in a record sixteen months, including graduation exams, and received a reference for special accomplishments.”

This thirst for knowledge paved the way for Igor’s future success, especially in the human-tech space. Around 2016, significant cognitive attacks were reported in more than fourteen US embassies, Canadian embassies, even the White House. Igor was able to trace them to brainwave technology, which even psychiatrists were unaware about. By 2017, he had garnered enough scientific data to prove that Havana Syndrome was a cyberattack caused by technology rather than a mental illness syndrome. Following his work on human technological abuse, the Senate of the United States of America recognized the Havana Syndrome Act in 2021.

To expand the scope of his work, Igor established System of All LLC, which deals in medical devices, intelligence, defense, and the science industry.

Speaking about his passion, he says, “My passion is to change the world, which I have already done in one big part, but also bring changes

t is never easy to describe someone as enigmatic as Patrick R. Riccards. A master of many talents, he is the Executive Director and CEO of Life After Hate - the nation’s leader in the violence intervention community; Founder of the Driving Force Institute for Public Engagement - a national effort transforming teaching and learning of American history and civics through provocative, relevant video content for students and related professional development for teachers; an Author; and a Board Member.

Yet, his greatest accomplishment is having served for four years as Coach of his daughter’s competition cheerleading team, working with 19 tween and tween young women. “In 2019, my athletes earned a Top 10 finish at Nationals and a 2nd place finish at Globals, despite major obstacles. I am so, so proud of their successes.”

Today, I still enjoy reviewing evolving applications of technologies – such as artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, facial recognition, and Internet of Things (IoT) devices, to name a few – and how they present novel and exciting challenges from a legal perspective,” he shares.

Paul is a Director at Fieldfisher, a leading law firm, prior to which he held leadership

positions at Credit Suisse, Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP, Allen & Overy LLP, and Linklaters LLP. He has also held teaching positions at University of Cergy-Pontoise, France and UC Law SF, America.

“It was particularly interesting to see the privacy and security issues that come into play to protect an online game and ensure that other gamers are not disadvantaged or have a worse experience that would make them no longer want to play that game,” he explains.

As Paul continues to ascend successfully, he remembers

with gratitude all his wonderful mentors throughout his career: “The partner I worked with at the 1st law firm (Simpson Thacher & Bartlett) has had a tremendous impact on my career, as that’s how I got the opportunity to work on technology-related matters!

We worked on cloud-related projects back when cloud was still in its infancy, which also led to my paper - Caught in the Clouds: The Web 2.0, Cloud Computing, and Privacy?”

Paul continues to write extensively on current developments in cybersecurity as well as American and European privacy laws. He was one of the lead Authors of the Cloud Security Alliance’s guidance - ‘Observations and Recommendations on Connected Vehicle Security’ published in 2017. Frequently, he also speaks at conferences and leads industry committees and organizations all around the world.

As our conversation draws to a close, we can’t help but ask him - What’s the next big thing in IT? His reply - “Covid has emphasized the incredible resilience of the tech industry and given us a glimpse into the future of the workplace.

We have also begun to see immensely practical benefits of AI-driven solutions, such as removing background noise from a microphone, real-time audio transcription of meetings. Yet, more than any wins, Renée is thankful for the learnings.

Firstly, she learned that failure is nothing to be concerned about. Instead, we need to consider failure as a life lesson and something to encourage – so that we learn what we’re missing. “We often fail for a reason – because we don’t have the skill or the aptitude.

Failure can teach us what we don’t know and we can learn and turn it around to excel in an area we thought we weren’t doing well in. Secondly, another big lesson I’ve had is that we need to have courage in uncertain times.”

Discovering how to face and address challenges in life and work has made Renée a women’s leader. Telling us why she chooses to be a tiger in the rat race, she says, “Tigers work alone and autonomously, though they are also warm blooded and look after their young. Rosa has a profound belief that we can make this world a better place. Especially by helping young adults learn a skill which enables them to attain good-paying jobs, creating a high probability of breaking the cycle of poverty.

With her book - ‘The Zero-Sum Game of You’, Rosa focuses on helping others build their strength and success. With funds from the book, she also sponsors training programs to help young adults in financial need to learn usable skills.

She goes on to explain: “I have learned to use anything available as a resource; even pain, disappointment, anger, and loss. It’s easy to take the simple path and use financial and emotional lacks as an excuse for misfortune. You need to build resilience and forge ahead to improve the chances for success. I learned that all struggles are not a punishment sent by a higher power; instead, we need to take responsibility for the outcome we are getting and make changes accordingly.

Your life can only be yours; keep your eyes on your target.”

It couldn’t have been easy to manage a high profile job with a passion such as writing.

How did Rosa overcome the obstacles? She answers: “My career as a software engineer has been an easier path because if you keep yourself up-to-date and keep learning and adding value to others, there are always many

opportunities to choose from.

As a new author with a big mission to help others, the challenges are greater and more complex. There is so much noise in the media, news, and other sources of information that you need to fight through many channels to build credibility, reach the right audience, and be noticed.

I believe there is luck as long as you do all that is humanly possible to get your goal.

With continuous effort and resilience, you will eventually find the right person or solution for any problem you may have or be able to implement an idea or solution that you are very passionate about. At this point, it may look to others that you are a lucky person, but only you know how much effort, tears, and frustration have been part of that ‘lucky’ event.”

Rosa is also vocal about learning to say ‘NO’, and to separate oneself from toxic people. Being a people pleaser is energy-consuming and overwhelming, she says, adding, “Unfortunately, I learned this lesson the hard way and through a lot of emotional pain. Now I look back and understand why the pain was necessary to overcome it.”

This grit and perseverance has seen Rosa bestowed with innumerable global honours, the most recent of which was ‘Leaders to look up to in 2022’

She has various other titles and certifications at work, but those hold little relevance in comparison to her book and her ‘Wonders of My World’ program. “Recently, I received

a precious award in the form of a letter by a student telling me how she does not see hunger in her family anymore, thanks to the skills which she acquired in my program,” says Rosa with pride.

who either died too young because of lack of medical attention, were too skinny due to lack of food, or too shy because of humiliation from others due to social standards.

All those faces and memories fuel me with enough energy to keep going. I believe that we are all connected, and by helping others in one way or another, we are helping ourselves and the future of humankind.”

Rosa also finds inspiration in the great theoretical physicist, Albert Einstein. Telling us why, she says, “He inspires me to build logical solutions with an easy flow.
