BOAGS IS BACK & BETTER THAN EVER

It is with excitement and renewed energy that we welcome you to this year’s Bonnyville & District Oil and Gas Show (BOAGS). Bringing industry together for the first time since 2019 is both an honour and a privilege for the Bonnyville & District Chamber of Commerce. We aim to ensure you receive the same small-town hospitality you have grown to love, while giving you access to big city opportunities.

With the price of oil increasing and new projects on the horizon, it isn’t just the sunshine bringing new energy, it is the hope of future prosperity and growth for our region! We cannot wait to see what the future holds as we say goodbye to a recession and a pandemic and now move forward together, with passion and a commitment to the development of

the Lakeland region and the oil and gas industry.

This show promises unique networking opportunities by ensuring you can promote your business face to face with procurement professionals of the large producer companies. The world has gone digital, everything seems to be online, but we know there is no substitute for a handshake and a smile when it comes to making lasting connections.

Without the support of our business community, sponsors and board of directors, this show would not be possible. Thank you to them and to YOU for attending. Welcome to Bonnyville where we truly believe that hard work is met with opportunity. Remember to check out our incredible local businesses and restaurants during your stay!

Great things aren’t done by one person, they’re done by a team.

The only thing we value more than our work, community and commitments is the team who makes it all possible.

LEARN MORE ABOUT OUR COMMITMENT.

BONNYVILLE A BUSTLING CENTRE FOR INDUSTRY

On behalf of Town Council and the citizens of Bonnyville, I want to extend a warm welcome to everyone to the Town of Bonnyville for the 2023 Bonnyville & District Oil & Gas Show.

We are reminded that the Town of Bonnyville is situated on Treaty 6 Land, that is steeped in rich Indigenous history and is the traditional homeland and home to First Nations and Metis people today. We respect the histories, languages, and cultures of First Nations, Metis, and all First Peoples of Canada, whose presence continues to enrich our community.

The Town of Bonnyville has a rich and deep history with the oil and gas industry.

The Town’s logo – ‘It’s MultiNatural”- refers to our celebration of its diverse cultural heritage and rich natural resources. These natural resources assist the oil and gas industry to thrive in the Bonnyville area.

As a service hub, the oil and gas industry is one of Bonnyville’s main economic drivers. The collaboration between the Town and industry is important to ensure that we have the services required to sustain these businesses and offer all amenities and community services their employees may need in the place they call home. Building relationships and having open communication with the oil and gas businesses

allows us to grow our Town in the best way to meet this industry’s needs.

The Oil and Gas Show is an opportunity for networking, learning about emerging trends in the industry and in the Bonnyville area. I

Committed to high standards

For over a century, we’ve strived to maintain our high standards, respecting the environment and maintaining operational excellence.

encourage you to take in everything that Bonnyville and District Chamber of Commerce has organized. I also encourage you to take in our restaurants, shops, and outdoor activities like going for a walk along Jessie Lake.

ENERGY SECTOR AT THE FOREFRONT IN M.D.

The Municipal District of Bonnyville welcomes all attendees to the 2023 Bonnyville Oil and Gas Show.

The M.D., province of Alberta, Canada, and the world benefit from the economic activity generated by the energy sector in our region. From creating a highly trained workforce to support community initiatives, the oil and gas industry touches many lives.

Council and I understand the value of the oil and gas industry to our M.D., and we continue to support the energy sector in our area for years to come. Our commitment to the future of the oil and gas industry can be found in our 2022-2027 Strategic Plan and in our economic development program,

Council and I also recognize and welcome the innovation that will build the future of the energy sector in our area - for example, our commitment to the Pathways Alliance. Our industry support can also be seen in the changes we’re making to our permitting processes to make them more efficient. The M.D. has also made changes to our Road Bans and Road Use Agreement programs to allow for more online applications and more timely approvals.

We recognize the need for a work life balance. That’s why you can find the best quality of life in the M.D. With campgrounds, aerial adventure park, ski resort, kilometres of hiking trails, and

the quality of life within the M.D. We encourage you to explore the municipality, whether it is for business

OIL & GAS DRIVES REGIONAL PROSPERITY

It is my pleasure to welcome everyone to the 2023 Bonnyville and District Oil and Gas Show. While it is no secret, it is important that we take the time to step back and realize the significance that the oil and gas industry has had on our lives in northern Alberta.

The industry is the source of much of the prosperity enjoyed, not only by our region, but also by our province, and even our country as a whole. We should be proud of what this industry has achieved. We should celebrate the legacy of safety, technological innovation, and responsible energy production

that our region’s oil and gas industry has created over the years. It is a success story that locals know too well, but is all too often forgotten outside of our region.

The companies in the oil and gas sector have been dedicated to our region and have helped build much of the infrastructure that allows our residents to enjoy an exceptional quality of life. You would be hard pressed to find a recreation facility, school or sports team that has not benefited from the generosity that the industry has shown over the years.

I hope that all of the participants in the show enjoy

their time here and are able to make valuable connections, network with their peers, and find dedicated employees that will continue to build the industry’s strong legacy.

Thank you for the work you do and your dedication to an industry that has helped build our community.
