A blessing and zechus that continues to spread its wings

“The Yosef Baruch Fund” supports our Comprehensive Chromosomal Screening Division — a program that grants couples struggling with chromosomal disorders the change to realize their dream.

This fund has been dedicated by Avery and Toby Eisenreich, in memory of Toby’s father, Mr. Yossi Jacobowitz, a”h. "Yosef Baruch" translates as “increase” and “blessed” – and how true a name this has been. Since its inception, the fund has increased blessing for so many couples, with numerous healthy children and happy parents and parents-to-be, thanks to its remarkable work.

Such a memorial couldn’t be more fitting. Mr. Jacobowitz increased blessing throughout his life. Just being in his presence was a blessing – for he imbued the atmosphere with warmth and joy; and bettered people’s lives with his tzedakah, chesed, and ahavas Yisroel.

Through this fund, his legacy lives on. The Eisenreich’s dedication of the fund perpetuates Yossi Jacobowitz’s life in the most meaningful way. For Mr. Jacobowitz, who treasured each moment and lived life to the fullest, would no doubt take great joy in knowing that the fund established in his memory adds fullness and joy to so many lives.

May the merit of establishing this fund bring increased blessing to Avery and Toby, and may Yossi be a meilitz yosher for them and for all of Klal Yisroel.

Dear Friend of Bonei Olam,

My wife and I never had children. But through Bonei Olam, we’ve been zoche to over 13,300.

It’s not something we talk about often, but we should. Because waiting often feels so lonely to couples, when the reality is quite the opposite. Countless couples around them are facing similar struggles. In fact, statistics show 1 in 6 couples experience this lonely wait at some point.

Perhaps you’ve experienced the feeling firsthand. If not, you’ve surely watched a couple you love wait month after month and wished you could do something to help.

The truth is, waiting couples DO need our help. Navigating the medical world is anything but simple: From finding the right doctors, to asking the right questions, to covering the staggering, endless medical bills, this challenge can be quite overwhelming.

Bonei Olam is how our community rallies together and supports waiting couples — channeling an outpouring of help from within our community, in ways that are immediate, tangible, and most importantly, respectful of every couple’s inherent need for privacy.
