What’s in a name? Plenty.

Take the Yosef Baruch Fund, dedicated by Avery and Toby Eisenreich, in memory of Toby’s father, Mr. Yossi Jacobowitz, a”h. "Yosef Baruch" translates literally as “increase” and “blessed” – and how true a name this has been. Since inception, the fund has increased blessing for so many couples, with numerous healthy children and happy parents and parents-to-be, thanks to its remarkable work.

The fund supports Bonei Olam’s Comprehensive Chromosomal Screening project - a program that grants couples struggling with chromosomal disorders the chance to realize their dreams.

The establishment of the fund is a fitting memorial. Mr. Jacobowitz increased blessing throughout his life. Just being in his presence was a blessing – for he imbued the atmosphere with warmth and joy; and bettered people’s lives with his tzedakah, chesed, and ahavas Yisroel.

His legacy lives on. The Eisenreich’s dedication of the fund perpetuates Yossi Jacobowitz’s life in the most meaningful way. For Mr. Jacobowitz, who treasured each moment and lived life to the fullest, would no doubt take great joy in knowing that the fund established in his memory adds fullness and joy to so many lives.

May the merit of establishing this fund bring increased blessing to Avery and Toby, and may Yossi be a meilitz yosher for them and for all of Klal Yisroel.

The auction is dedicated by Avery and Toby Eisenreich in honor of a quiet and unassuming hero: Yosef Boruch ben Yakov ה׳׳ע

Dear Friend of Bonei Olam,

There are times when I look back at the incredible journey of the past twenty-plus years. I reflect upon the sacred zechus of having played a part in bringing over 10,000 neshomos into the world, kein yirbu!

The sheer numbers; they boggle the mind!

And, like everyone else, I ask myself; how?

What is it that drives Klal Yisroel to come through with staggering numbers, time and again and again?

When you think about it, it comes down to one word. Empathy!

We are blessed with the ability to put ourselves into the shoes of each and every one of those anguished young couples, aching for the elusive dream of parenthood.

When “we” become “them”, then of course, there’s no cost too staggering, no hurdle too daunting and no amount of failures too overwhelming.

How fortunate we are to be blessed with the virtue of empathy ingrained in our DNA.

And how blessed I am to bear witness to this phenomenon on an everyday basis.

It is with this in mind that I introduce you to Bonei Olam’s “Tale of Happily Ever After”

As you are transported to the world of so many in our community, stranded on the outside of their own ‘happily ever after’, yearning for the opportunity to enter, let your heart become one with theirs. Remember, empathy goes a long way toward sharing, soothing and ultimately relieving the immense burden of pain, distress and longing.
