TheSecretGarden ArtCollection
The Secret Garden Art Novel Collection (2022) features over 50 bespoke Artworks in a diverse array of mediums created in response to Frances Hodgson Burnett’s beloved children’s novel The Secret Garden (1911). The collection investigates and reimagines the novel’s central themes of endless discovery, the joy of companionship, and the profound healing power of the natural world. Rediscover beloved characters Mary, Dickon, and Colin as reflections of today’s diverse friend groups and wander the arresting environment of the English Moors through landscape oil paintings and intricate fiberworks.
With eyes for precious details yet to be discovered, the collection’s Artists created artworks that tend to their inner gardens by way of collaborative processes, gradual evolution, and hearts turned towards inclusion. Discover botanical portraiture that re-imagines a once-restrictive wheelchair as a site of blooming beauty. Revel in over 500 forget-me-nots traced from life, sculpted in copper, and set within an intricate oil-painted frame. Experience an intimate portrayal of the natural world that captures Frances Hodgson Burnett’s philosophy of the changing seasons as natural parallels to physical health and spiritual wellbeing. Just as winter’s stasis allows spring bulbs to bloom, this poignant collection captures nature in all her seasons, from the quiet beauty of winter to summer’s rejoicing landscape.
The Secret Garden allowed generations of children to see magic in nature, the Secret Garden Art Novel Collection has brought that magic to life. Hope,

TheFrankenstein ArtCollection
The Frankenstein Art Novel Collection (2023) features 66 bespoke artworks representing more than a dozen mediums created in response to Frankenstein (1818) by Mary Shelley. This body of work offers arresting, intuitive, and romantic expressions of life and death with strong roots in both historical processes and revered legacies. Concurrently, the collection pushes the needle by harnessing revolutionary technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and materializing contemporary perspectives on autonomy and identity. Grappling with the monsters of today, each Artist looked inward and outward to compose works which reflect our present-day anxieties yet also echo apprehensions from the Romantic era.
Mixed media works depict both life forces and internal strife. Natural forms are mimicked with man-made Latex while the emotions of injustice, narcissism, and empathy are portrayed with charcoal, moss, and black tea tannins of the Earth. Gender norms, voyeurism, and prejudice are emphasized with allusions to the Masters, exploited by repetitive shape, and instigated with drawn references to George Stinney and Nat Turner. Contrast intensifies each pole leaving us to negotiate peace within tension.
Apart from highlighting varied interpretations of societal monstrosity, the objective of such work is to gather the shared concerns of today and begin to unravel them as a collective through questioning and intensive reflection. If we do not break the glass, we will not see all of the beautiful pieces.
As a result, this collection offers a unique (re)telling of Frankenstein in

“While it is said that “ sport, I don’t believe that was ever the intention. Artists want to be understood and in raw form. This gap of understanding is what we’re bridging at Bond & Grace. understanding artists and art appreciators to better understand one another.” –Maggie Lemak
