CHEERS & CELEBRATION was the upbeat theme of BOMA OEB’s Virtual Annual Membership Meeting and Election of Directors on November 4. “While our annual meeting was virtual again this year, we enjoyed networking and reminiscing about some of the experiences we shared this year,” said BOMA OEB Executive Director Julie Taylor. Oh What a Year...Unexpected Events at Every Turn! A slideshow tour offered a look back at 2021 — from the earliest virtual events to live, safe ones as public health conditions improved. Members were able to meet in person for Spring Golf, the outdoor Showcase Showdown at Alameda’s Faction Brewing where associate members exhibited, and the October luncheon on a gorgeous fall day at Rosewood Commons in Pleasanton. Throughout 2021, our association persevered to keep members informed through online educational programs, including: a CRE market report, Covid updates, advice for charting a path to the future office, a tech trends presentation, an interactive DEI workshop, a CAMs workshop, and much more. We also continued advocating for our members on important local issues and collaborating with BOMA Cal and BOMA International on state and federal issues. Volunteers: We Need You! The annual meeting also celebrated our dedicated volunteers and Partners who found so many creative ways to contribute. If you’re looking to get more involved in BOMA, there are four workgroups for you to consider: Stakeholder Engagement (Awards, CREATE, Membership, Mixers, Golf, Holiday Party), Education & Careers (Luncheons, Tours, Backpack to Briefcase), Strategic Planning (Continued on page 8)
