Before You Arrive

Visitor Parking

The College has limited visitor parking available, we therefore recommend using the nearby NCP Multi-Storey Car Park.

On Arrival

Please enter the College via Main Reception.

Our Reception team will:

• welcome you

• sign you in

• issue a visitor badge

• notify your College contact of your arrival

A team member will escort you throughout your visit.

Please ensure your visitor badge remains visible whilst you are on site.

Facilities

• Toilets - are available throughout the College on every floor.

• Lift Access - is available to all floors.

• Food and drinks - as well as water are available on all floors.

• Prayer room facilities - are available.

If you have any accessibility requirements or require additional assistance, please let a team member know. We will be happy to help.

During Your Visit

Should you require any assistance during your visit your dedicated team member will be able to help with any requests.

Health & Safety

Your safety is important to us. Please familiarise yourself with the following emergency procedures.

Due to severe allergies within our college community Latex products are not permitted.

Smoking and vaping is not permitted anywhere within the College buildings. There are however, designated areas available outside.

Fire Alarm

The fire alarm is a continuous alarm sound and means the building must be evacuated immediately.

For those with a hearing impairment there are flashing red beacons around the college building that are clearly visible.

If You Discover a Fire

• Activate the nearest fire alarm call point.

• Warn others nearby where safe to do so.

• Move away from the area.

• Follow team members instructions.

• Only use fire fighting equipment if trained and it is safe to do so.

If the Fire Alarm Sounds

• Leave the building immediately.

• Follow a team member in either an Orange or Yellow high-visibility vest to the nearest fire exit.

• Fire Wardens and Controllers can be identified by their Orange and Yellow high-visibility vests.

• Do not use lifts.

• Do not stop to collect belongings.

• Proceed to the designated assembly point.

• Wait for permission before re-entering the building.

Visitors with Mobility Needs

If you cannot use the stairs, proceed to the nearest refuge area and await assistance from a Fire Warden.

Lockdown Procedure

The College has a separate lockdown alert system. If the lockdown alarm sounds:

• Remain inside the building.

• Follow team member instructions immediately.

• Move to the designated safe location.

• Stay away from windows and external doors.

• Remain quiet.

• Do not leave until instructed.

• Only use your mobile phone if necessary for safety.

College team members will provide further updates throughout the incident.

First Aid

If first aid is required:

• Inform the nearest team member, or

• Attend Reception where a qualified first aider will be contacted.
