The occupant is gone, but the chair still survives.
Tom Horton, Class of 1944, third down on the left, returns after his stint in the service as a teacher/commandant. A brilliant scholar, one of our best, he will rise to the top of the corporate ladder. Tom always remained close to the school, including serving on the Board of Visitors. Sad to say, Tom passed away about five years ago.
Wilbur Jobe has had a unique career. He returned to Bolles and taught a couple of years, after which he migrated to Germany where he earned his doctorate, married a German lady and remained there as a professor until he recently retired.
Bob Langley, the first of three Langley's, emerges from the crowd.
How about that antiquated communication system! Lower classmen were still using the tin-can system.
The very first one, Jose Abarca, will become one of our distinguished Latinos.
Well, we will just have to wait for another season.
Another Schultz contribution, a greyhound bus all our own and the envy of every team in the state.
