Another lovely sponsor. One wonders if these current eightysomething ladies are still with us.

Another beauty!

And still another.

It’s now official.

The Naval Unit is now one of five fully accredited Honor Naval schools in the nation.

This is the first appearance of the Athletic Council, I think.

It must be another Hochheim brainchild.

The Alpha Society was launched by Bill Hochheim.

It has always represented the very best of everything.

In 2010, it ranks right up there with the best in the nation.

We don’t know when the cheering squad came into existence, but this is the first picture ever to appear in a yearbook.

The text presents an excellent statement of philosophy.

The statement harks back to the very first commencement speech

by Coach Summers.

The mission echoes still.

These two coaches live on in perpetuity.

The big “B� takes on a formality.

We are now in the middle of the war. Probably most of the alumni are in a U.S. uniform, and the Class of 1943 will soon be joining them.

The dedication suggests that the school itself is fully dedicated to the war which will define most of them as it defines the school for these momentous years.

We are in the war now, and President Painter is the right man to lead the school through this defining event.

Note those elegant twotoned wing-tips.

These men are firmly in command as the Battalion marches off to war.

Judging from his long list of assignments, one would think that Bill Hochheim is a one man faculty!

The Reverend Alan Chalmers, about whom little is known, is the second Chaplain to appear on the growing roster.

William Hochheim, bottom, is the son of the legendary Bill Hochheim whom we have met frequently.

Young Bill is now (2010) an eighty-something retired Catholic priest.

Brightman Skinner, center, is the younger brother of the legendary Chester Skinner. He too is a full time Skinner contributor, including progeny.
