Marriage Requirements The documents you need to get married in Mexico are:

Los documentos que necesitas para casarte en México son:

A completed application form obtained in Mexico at the Registry Office. This includes a statement as to whether the couple will maintain separate property and assets or have joint property. This statement may not be valid for future purposes, under the legislation of your country of origin.

Valid passport and Migratory Form obtained at the airport/ Residence Card to prove legal status in Mexico.

Certified copy of their Birth Certificate, officially translated into Spanish and carrying the Apostille stamp (see Consular Services/Legalizations). Further legalization by the Mexican Embassy in your country of origin may be optional.

If either party has been married before, they must present either a certified copy of the Divorce decree, or; a certified copy of a Death Certificate duly translated and legalized as described above.

A physician’s certificate stating that according to the blood tests and x-rays taken in Mexico, neither applicant suffers from any contagious disease. Additional fees may apply.

Two legally qualified witnesses (over 18 years of age), who must be present at the ceremony.

Payment of fee established by the Civil Registry Office.

Valentina cuenta con 10 años de experiencia como Wedding Planner. Aunque su formación es como administradora de empresas, desde niña se involucró en este sector gracias a que su familia ya contaba con una compañía de música para bodas y así fue que un día, una novia la buscó y le pidió que le ayudara a planear su boda.

“Hice mi primer boda a los 22 años. A partir de eso decidí abrir mi marca. Sin duda mi reto mayor fue organizar una boda a distancia para una pareja que residía en África y vinieron a México a celebrar su matrimonio. ¿Cuáles son los errores más comunes que se comenten al planear una boda?

El no visualizar desde el inicio cómo van a invertir su presupuesto. A veces me piden ayuda cuando ya contrataron el lugar y el catering, y ya no tienen mucho presupuesto. Es mejor siempre iniciar desde cero porque así contemplamos un presupuesto general y hacemos una visualización de lo que deben invertir en cada uno de los rubros. ¿Cuáles son tus tres consejos básicos para planear una boda?

El primero es que tengan mucha comunicación los novios, que sean muy coherentes con lo que tienen en presupuesto y en tiempos, con lo que están pidiendo a los proveedores. Lo segundo, que hagan un comparativo y que no se queden con la primera opción. Y tres, que sean súper minuciosos en la planeación para que 15 días antes de la boda, suelten y disfruten. ¿Cuáles son las tendencias para este 2020?

La iluminación es lo más fuerte de este año. Desde letras neón o con frases, hasta toda la decoración. También está muy de moda vestir las cuatro paredes, utilizar colgantes, tapetes y puntos focales. ¿Cuáles son los destinos más de moda en México?

CDMX está de moda. Las parejas buscan recintos históricos, rompehielos en terrazas mientras ven la ciudad, es algo muy nuevo pero hay muchos grupos que me están solicitando este destino para casarse.

También sigue de moda San Miguel de Allende y la ciudad Oaxaca.
