POTEET’S SECOND YEAR

Boise Hawks outfielder DJ Poteet is heading into his second year with the team. Poteet came to Boise after playing for the Sioux City Explorers directly out of college at Wake Forest.

Last season, Poteet appeared in 19 games and recorded 14 hits during 64 at-bats. This season, Poteet has established himself as a reliable offensive contributor for the Boise Hawks. He has showcased an excellent command of the strike zone, evident by his eight walks and a remarkable on-base percentage of .439. His disciplined approach at the plate allows him to consistently get on base, contributing to the team’s scoring opportunities.

With a batting average of .303, Poteet has proven to be a consistent hitter, making solid contact and finding gaps in the field. His ability to hit for both average and power is demonstrated by his three doubles and one home run. The combination of his high batting average and slugging percentage of .485 highlights his ability to be a productive force in the lineup.
