This month, we are thrilled to introduce Nate Fehrenbacher as our Member Spotlight. We asked Nate a few questions about himself and what makes working at one of the Treasure Valley's leading tile and stone providers so enjoyable. Here's what he had to say: Favorite Idaho escape? What do you enjoy most about your company or 3 organization? I have a great team that I work with, and Bedrosians has given me vast experience in running my own location as if it was my own company. Tell us about a current or upcoming project or companywide initiative. With the boom in growth that Boise is experiencing we have been fortunate to be involved in many of the large projects happening downtown. From the re-do of the Grove Hotel Water Feature to the Afton, the new Fast Eddy's location, Crescent Rim, and JUMP, we do everything we can to deliver a good product at a fair price and on time. We also work closely with a lot of the builders and remodelers to provide product for anyone looking to create a home that they can be proud of. It's a good feeling knowing that we are a part of the growth of Boise!
What is the most important trend in your business or industry? Color, Shape, Texture What is the best advice you've received? “Work hard and retire as early as you can!” Who is a local business or business person you admire? My wife Teresa Whitney with Albertsons! She has worked hard to keep Albertsons in the forefront of a local company and put in a lot of work at the new Broadway location. What is the number one reason to do business with your company or organization? Our team’s knowledge and customer service.
CITIZENS FOR BETTER TRANSPORTATION REGISTRATION FEE INCREASE
PROPOSITION 2: IDAHOANS FOR HEALTH CARE
CWI YES HEALTH SCIENCES CENTER
The Ada County Highway District is proposing a local option, vehicle registration fee increase. If approved, the maximum registration fee will go from $40 to $70. ACHD is expected to use the near $4-5 million annually that the increase will generate for much needed congestion relief projects such as intersection improvements, pedestrian and bike improvements, and safe routes to school.
This measure would allow state residents who fall into what is known as the “health coverage gap” to access healthcare through Medicaid. These Idahoans – working moms and dads and seniors nearing retirement age – currently earn too much to qualify for Medicaid and too little to be eligible for financial assistance through Idaho’s health insurance exchange.
The College of Western Idaho is seeking a 10year facility levy to assist in raising funds for the construction of a Health Sciences Center to meet the increased demands for workers in the profession health sciences.

The Chamber has long supported funding for education programs and appropriate facilities for the College of Western Idaho. By addressing facility needs for a Health Sciences Center in the Treasure Valley, Idaho will have a better capacity to meet current openings for high demand jobs in the healthcare field.

Leadership Boise Welcomes 54 of Boise’s Brightest Leaders L
eadership Boise (LB), a program of the Boise Metro Chamber, is thrilled to welcome its Class of 2020. As one of the longest-running Chamber-sponsored leadership
programs in the United States, Leadership Boise has graduated more than 1,550 business and civic leaders since its inception in 1975, and this year's 54 new participants will add to the legacy. Thanks to this year's program sponsor, Brewer Lofgren LLC, for supporting our program. Their Opening Retreat session, sponsored by Northwest Bank, Idaho Central Credit Union, Jacobs, and STRATA, Inc., took place in August at the YMCA Horsethief Camp outside of Cascade, Idaho. The class heard from David Duro, President & CEO, Treasure Valley YMCA; Jim Everett, Co-President, The College of Idaho; and Tanner Rohne, Associate Executive Director, Y Camp at Horsethief Reservoir. "This group of established leaders is curious, determined, and creative," said Meredith Stead, Leadership Boise's Vice President and Boise Valley Economic Partnership's Marketing & Events Manager. "I am delighted to have the chance to see them continue to connect with our community and inspire each other. I have no doubt that together they will have an amazing impact on our city over the next two years and throughout their own areas of influence for many more to come."
