Letter from our CEO, Bill Connors

We're happy to bring you this exciting edition of the Boise Valley Spotlight. This year's theme, an "Insider's Guide" to Boise, will serve as a resource for newcomers, visitors and even locals to become better acquainted with Boise's culture, history, and community. Additionally, it has a kid's guide for family fun!

The Boise Valley is known for its exceptionally kind people, who value community and connection. This is one of the reasons why LonelyPlanet.com named Boise a “Best Place to Visit in 2023,” one of only three domestic locations on the list. In addition to its “Boise nice” people, the popular travel site touted Boise’s year-round natural beauty and rich culture.

Boise visitors often become Boise residents. Year after year, we’ve seen significant growth in the Boise Valley, which has allowed us to welcome new people into the community we love. The Boise Valley is also a magnet for businesses to realize the benefits of a business-friendly state with low taxes, but without onerous regulations.

The Boise Metro Chamber is a non-profit 501(c)(4) organization and serves as the region’s advocate for our vibrant, prosperous economy and outstanding quality of life. We advocate for nearly 2,000 Chamber member businesses, representing 160,000+ employees throughout the Boise metropolitan area. The Chamber is often a facilitator of essential conversations, and the supportive Chamber community provides substantial value to our members. It is the only five-star accredited chamber of commerce in Idaho.

We invite visitors and residents alike to explore our Boise Metro Chamber Gift Shop & Visit Boise Information Center, located at the corner of 11th and Front streets, in downtown Boise. The gift shop features products, souvenirs, and beverages from local businesses, colleges and sports teams. The Visit Boise Information Center is a resource for residents and visitors to obtain brochures, maps and tourism information about our entire region, from the McCall area to Yellowstone. Outdoor activity information such as hiking, rafting, camping, skiing and more are available at the information center.

This edition of the Boise Valley Spotlight contains a directory of our valued Boise Metro Chamber members, so that you too can support the businesses who value each other by being part of the Chamber community. We urge you to look first to Boise Metro Chamber members whenever you are looking for a place to go, such as a restaurant, or for someone to help provide a service to you.

Thank you for being part of this incredible community. We’re glad you’re here!

Sincerely,

Bill Connors, President & CEO Boise Metro Chamber Boise Valley Economic Partnership Visit Boise
