Breeder Guarantee

Windy Hill Livestock guarantees our bulls to be sound, fertile and reproductive in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Canadian Angus & Simmental Association for the first breeding season. Claims must be made by September 1st of year of purchase. If a problem occurs, please contact Mike immediately and we will provide a suitable replacement, if available, or a sale credit. This guarantee does not cover death, injury or mismanagement. Our goal is to have you satisfied with your Windy Hill bull.

Sight Unseen

We would love to have you with us; however we do understand how busy things can get around the ranch. Our sight unseen program is simple. Call Mike in advance and we will discuss your needs, cowherd, goals, budget and which bull or bulls will work best for you. Bids are handled in confidence with SATISFACTION GUARANTEED or you don’t own them.

Hello and welcome to the annual Windy Hill Livestock Bull and female sale. This year we are offering a new sale platform. We will be holding our sale online with DVauction.com. These are the same great bulls and females backed by our 100% customer satisfaction guarantee.

We have a very exciting set of bulls and females again this year. We continue to work nonstop at finding the most predictable matings that will add value as well as consistency to any program. Knowing what sires like SAV Density, Brooking Banknote can do in angus cow herds and adding staple sires like Liner 56U and Cobra, Hooks Sheer Force, RF Merchant and now an exciting new sire like Structure on the Simmental side and merging all these great sires together in a Simangus product it does nothing but amazing things.

Also we have done some E.T. work in the past 2 years. That work has all been based around our donor CMS Soda Pop 422B. This has been very rewarding watching this E.T program come full circle. We have milking daughters on the farm that will be putting progeny in the topside of the sale pens and replacement pens. As well, we have 13 maternal brothers and sisters out of CMS Soda Pop 422B, on offer for sale this year. This is production and consistency at its best.

A lot of effort has been put into each and every individual in this sale. From the planned matings, culling, herd health, DNA profiles and building responsible rations; to ensure these bulls and females go on to be high productive members of your cow herds and bull batteries.

Conditions

TERMS: The terms of the sale are cash, cheque, and wire transfers, payable at par at the sale location unless satisfactory payment arrangements have been made prior to the sale with seller, buyer and Bohrson Marketing Services.

Bohrson Marketing Services reserves the right to require a certified cheque as settlement before releasing any sale cattle. Payment in full must be made before cattle can be released and shipped. Exchange rates will be announced sale day and the sale will be held in Canadian funds.

BIDDING: All animals to sell through the sale must be sold by auction with each animal selling to the highest bidder.

Private sales will not be allowed except as otherwise provided for in the terms and conditions. No by-bidding will be permitted.

DISPUTES: In cases of disputes, bidding will be reopened between the parties involved in the dispute. If no further bid is made, the buyer will be the person from whom the auctioneer accepted the last bid and the auctioneer’s decision will be final.

ANNOUNCEMENTS: Any announcement from the auction block will take precedence over the printed matter in the catalogue. Buyers are therefore cautioned to pay attention to any such announcements.

LIABILITIES: All persons attend the sale at the their own risk.

CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRY: A registration certificate issued by the applicable breed association and a certificate of registry duly transferred will be furnished to the buyer of each animal after final payment has been made.

PREGNANCY INFORMATION: All bred females have been pregnancy examined by an accredited veterinarian, who has provided the seller with an estimated length of gestation. The estimated gestation period shall be used only as a guideline to calving and is not a guarantee of actual service. Bohrson Marketing Services will provide supplement sheets with breeding services provided for the purchaser.

HEALTH: All sale animals have met all necessary health requirements and it is the buyer’s responsibility and expense to determine health requirements for importing any animal into his province or state. Bohrson Marketing Services assume no responsibility for the health status of any animal in the sale.

PURCHASER’S RISK: Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold.

BREEDING GUARANTEE: We will develop the bulls properly and semen test them prior to delivery/pick-up. In a case where an animal doesn’t suffice as a sound breeder, we will replace your animal with an agreed upon replacement or credit back. In no circumstance will we replace the animal with cash or credit above the purchase price.

INSURANCE: We strongly recommend the seller insurances for full value on all purchases.

ACCIDENTS: Every precaution will be taken to protect the safety and comfort of buyers, neither the Sales Management, auctioneer, consignors or Association assumes any responsibility in this matter and disclaims any liability legal or otherwise in the event of accident or loss of property.
