Wintering and Bull Development
All bulls going back to Windy Hill Livestock must be insured. We would prefer to winter the bulls for the buyers and we will supply that at no additional cost. This will allow us to properly develop them on the same ration with longevity in mind to benefit you the customer.
Delivery
Free delivery to central points near your ranch in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba in spring following the sale. All other points will be cost shared.
Breeder Guarantee
Windy Hill Livestock guarantees our bulls to be sound, fertile and reproductive in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Canadian Angus & Simmental Association for the first breeding season. Claims must be made by September 1st of year of purchase. If a problem occurs, please contact Mike immediately and we will provide a suitable replacement, if available, or a sale credit. This guarantee does not cover death, injury or mismanagement. Our goal is to have you satisfied with your Windy Hill bull.
Sight Unseen
We would love to have you with us; however we do understand how busy things can get around the ranch. Our sight unseen program is simple. Call Mike in advance and we will discuss your needs, cowherd, goals, budget and which bull or bulls will work best for you. Bids are handled in confidence with SATISFACTION GUARANTEED or you don’t own them.

Hello and welcome to our annual bull and female sale. On behalf of everyone here at Windy Hill Livestock we would first like to thank you for taking the time to show interest in our program by opening this catalog. As well, a special thank you to the past bidders and buyers. Last year we introduced a new concept here at Windy Hill making the shift to offering 2 year old bulls. With this move we feel that the buyer can get maximum value for their investment. These bulls have spent a high percentage of their life grazing on native grass, keeping longevity in mind. With the size, athleticism and maturity these bulls are more than capable of handling large groups of cows and get the job done. As well I will be offering 16 registered half blood SimAngus females. All these females are carrying early and marketable services that will add value genetically to any cowherd and more importantly dollars to your bottom line. Please be sure to take advantage of our wintering and delivery program. Allow us to continue to grow and develop the bulls. Your bull will be wintered free of charge then give us a call come spring time and we can arrange delivery, again free of charge. This service is not only important to you the buyer but more importantly to the bull himself. He will be in a safe pen with his mates that he has spent nearly his entire life with. Getting a responsible ration that will ensure his ability to breed as many cows as possible. You will be 100% satisfied when these bulls are delivered. Again like every year, the entire offering has undergone a thorough vaccination protocol. As well, tested to insure there is no BVD PI carriers. TERMS: The terms of the sale are cash, cheque, and wire transfers, payable at par at the sale location unless satisfactory payment arrangements have been made prior to the sale with seller, buyer and Bohrson Marketing Services. Bohrson Marketing Services reserves the right to require a certified cheque as settlement before releasing any sale cattle. Payment in full must be made before cattle can be released and shipped. Exchange rates will be announced sale day and the sale will be held in Canadian funds. BIDDING: All animals to sell through the sale must be sold by auction with each animal selling to the highest bidder. Private sales will not be allowed except as otherwise provided for in the terms and conditions. No by-bidding will be permitted. DISPUTES: In cases of disputes, bidding will be reopened between the parties involved in the dispute. If no further bid is made, the buyer will be the person from whom the auctioneer accepted the last bid and the auctioneer’s decision will be final.
LIABILITIES: All persons attend the sale at the their own risk. CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRY: A registration certificate issued by the applicable breed association and a certificate of registry duly transferred will be furnished to the buyer of each animal after final payment has been made. PREGNANCY INFORMATION: All bred females have been pregnancy examined by an accredited veterinarian, who has provided the seller with an estimated length of gestation. The estimated gestation period shall be used only as a guideline to calving and is not a guarantee of actual service. Bohrson Marketing Services will provide supplement sheets with breeding services provided for the purchaser. HEALTH: All sale animals have met all necessary health requirements and it is the buyer’s responsibility and expense to determine health requirements for importing any animal into his province or state. Bohrson Marketing Services assume no responsibility for the health status of any animal in the sale.
BREEDING GUARANTEE: We will develop the bulls properly and semen test them prior to delivery/pick-up. In a case where an animal doesn’t suffice as a sound breeder, we will replace your animal with an agreed upon replacement or credit back. In no circumstance will we replace the animal with cash or credit above the purchase price.
