With the 10th Annual Western Select Sale approaching we certainly can reflect on the impact this sale has had on Limousin genetics across the world. When Scott and Rebecca came up with the idea of Lloydminster hosting an open consignment Limousin sale - contingent on high quality, selected cattle - with a focus on bred females, the sale saw its beginning. Over the years we have had consignments from Manitoba to B.C. Throughout those ten years just one consignor has been consistant - thank you to Greenwood and your family. We always welcome back Limousin programs who take a year or two off. The 2021 year is coming to a close, and what a year! Weather extremes, feed and water supply issues, and many families faced personal loss. This fall’s feeder prices are steady and our purebred sales across Canada are extremely active with strong prices. The bred heifer category is once again a deep set carrying services to the best bulls available.
