Our bull pen consists of a number of performance bulls as well as a few with calving ease built in. We really like the group we have assembled - you will appreciate the genetic opportunities available. We weaned the bulls in September and have since been bringing them along with longevity and soundness in mind. They run in a 12 acre field and are bucket fed the Masterfeeds bull ration along with chopped hay & silage. They are an athletic, free moving group with an abundance of hair. We like the shape they are in and hope you appreciate our commitment to provide you with a bull who will be an avid breeder - who’ll be ready to go to work when the gate cracks open! The combination of Bankroll and our prolific donor CMS Heirloom has done it again! Protocol is a full brother to our lead off and high selling bull last spring, CMS Manifest, who sold for $15,000 to Storebo Farms. Dale tells us how happy they are with him and they are expecting an abundance of calves. Protocol is of the same high quality as his full brother and all of the great maternal sibs we have sold, Empire, Quantico, Frontier, Keystone just to name a few. Our first of 4 Springcreek Launch bulls and the first of 4 sons/grandsons from one of our premier black donor females, BGF 930W. Apollo is the grandson of 930W. His Paparazzi sired dam 501C has been an awesome producer for us with many daughters selling through FNL, as well as two sons selling through our bull sale. Red Carpet 501C is a model female, she adds hair, color, performance and exceptional hoof quality. Her daughters all have great tidy udders. We were fortunate to acquire Launch semen from the Meadow Acres 2019 bull sale after they had purchased Launch for $50,000 from Springcreek, an outstanding son of Liner 56U and the highly productive Brooke 68Z cow. Apollo is the natural calf of 501C and weaned off at close to 900 lbs. His performance EPD’s are outstanding and what a thick dark hair coat! This guy looks like a herd bull, with his great hoof quality, genetic makeup, strong wide top, extreme muscle expression and docility. Prevail is the flush brother to the lot #4 bull and has all of the same qualities. We have always liked this bull, he has such an attractive head, he is deep ribbed, long bodied and again possesses some great EPD’s and performance, weaning off at close to 900 lbs. Prevail’s gestation was 7 days early and it shows in his EPD’s (CE of +11 is in the top 15% and BWT is at 0.0 which is the top 4% of the breed). A black Springcreek Launch son with many great qualities. We admire this young bull. He won’t be a year old until the day after our sale, but he has the growth, performance and presence to be an impactful sire! He was raised by a poorer recip so only obtained a weaning weight of 778lbs, but since weaning has really performed gaining 3.72 lbs/ day with an adjusted yearling weight of 1403 lbs. He has very good EPD’s especially in the performance and maternal areas. You will like the look of this guy with his overall balance from end to end and a predictable pedigree to boot! Pale Face is an outstanding black baldy sired by the ever popular Poker Face and whose dam is a Captain Morgan x Lady Gaga combination who was our $25,000 high seller at the 2015 FNL selling to Bar T5. We shared a flush on Lady Morgan with the Thompsons and it resulted in this good bull for us. He is a very docile, free moving, athletic calf who has great length, width and combines his very attractive look with ample muscle expression. His EPD’s contain both above average CE and BWT numbers (his gestation was a full 9 days early) along with well above average WWT and YWT numbers. Poker King is a very exciting mid-February bull that always commands your attention in the bull pen. He was 95 pounds at birth, 10 days early in his gestation, and he went out and performed! His good WHF Limitless sired mom, Deeg Rust Drama Queen, is a first calf heifer with a beautiful udder who has two high performing sons in this sale. Poker King has an adjusted weaning weight of 835, and adjusted yearling weight of 1371. He is an attractive blazed face black bull, with a long spine, deep side and plenty of shape and muscle. Poker King is out of the well known Drake Poker Face bull who sired our 6-pack of Soda Pop females, and has produced many great bulls and females through the years. One of our absolute favorites in the pen this year, 977G is a very well bred, prolific herd bull candidate! Sired by RF/Rust Stimulus who was a high selling bull for Ranciers, and mothered by our great Soda Pop 412B who has raised herd bulls before. Her son, CMS Budha was a high seller for us in 2017 selling to Jay Dawn for $18,500. This is quite a bull with a very good set of EPD’s. Impulse combines calving ease (he was 11 days early in gestation) with good performance numbers, boasting a 910 pound actual weaning weight. Here is our definite calving ease bull this year. Sired by Stimulus who is owned by WJ Simmentals and who has seen successful use in their heifer pen. On the dam side, calving ease, light birth weights and short gestation runs for generations. Flash was born 10 days early at 75 lbs. His dam 817F was born 13 days early at 77 lbs and the grand dam was a mere 58 lbs at birth. Flash is a “sleep easy” at night heifer bull! Titanic is a very interesting bull, he is sharp headed, good haired, long bodied and sound down to the ground! His good young dam is one of our favorite Empire daughters with great udder quality. He is sired by IPU Liner 56U 213Y who was a bull we purchased from Barry in 2012 and used for a few years with good success. We sold him to Alta Genetics for use in their semen export program where he has gone on to be one of the export sires with the most semen sold of any breed ever! King Pin’s dam is also the grand dam of our last two bulls; a very good group of bulls. He is our largest framed, heaviest bull this year and will add pounds to a calf crop!
