If you’ve had an opportunity to meet Jody, Bobbi-Gayle or JR, you know these folks are dedicated Simmental ambassadors and out their heart and soul into their programs. In this year‘s bull sale, you’ll notice a strong group of new bloodlines and with many proven old herd sires being represented that flat out don’t miss.
The folks here at Yellow Rose stand behind their program, whole heartedly. We’ve been working with Yellow Rose for a number of years and their cattle flat out work. Yellow Rose, Hampton and JR Cattle believe in cow families and as you skim through this catalog, you will notice proven genetics. These bulls in this sale are no mistake, they’re bred from outstanding cows. The way the market has changed so much in the past year, you need to have bulls that calve easy and put pounds in your calves, this enables a higher return in the fall. That being said, here is a set of future herd sires that can do that for you. This year Bobbi-Gayle has dipped into their heifer pen and brought to you three feature females that can produce the bulls that are on offer today in this sale. Hampton Simmentals has given you two opportunities to purchase high end commercial Simmental heifer pens. Hank is truly a star in the bull pen. He has the depth, top, overall balance and structure that is true to breed. His blaze just adds to the package. His dam is a power, blazed cow that gives the added hip and dimension. The 329’s “Razor” daughters are calving and they have excellent udders and are performing great in the herd. Hank the Tank, as we call 642 will impress the most astute cattlemen out there. A group of his calves will be sought after at market and his daughters will be the kind to keep. When I purchased some of the Captain Scream semen, I had a select few matrons I wanted to use him on. 222Z did not let me down. This cow can crack out the good one’s year after year and have been popular with the crowd. This is her last calf as she suffered a back injury this fall, so this is the opportunity to get a consistent cow family in a pedigree of this magnitude. His sire no other than the Captain Scream bull who not only was National Champion but a Supreme bull. Shout Out is soft made, has the dimension and appeal to gather friends’ sale day.

A dark red, complete bull. These Wallstreet sons are stamped. They may not be the biggest bulls out there but the soundness and overall type are like peas in a pod. His daughters are calving and we are happy with the udder structure and milking. His dam has got the linage to stand the test of time, the Primadonna cow family. 2 black parents have created this dynamite red powerhouse. Dam is one of the descendants of my “Lady” cow (National Champion, Supreme Championships) The cow that really made me in the breed. This young black cow is starting to travel in those footsteps. Phenomenal udder, well balanced and sound. Her and her production just gets better. Cosmic is proof. Rugged, deep sided, square hipped and long. The $25,000 LFE Unlimited bull is doing a job here, with proof is in his daughters with having nice udders, body type, feet and mothering. Sure Fire is another powerful Arsenal son. Like his pen mates, color, length and good testicle development. His dam Mitzi is a bigger framed, nice udder cow. JRCC Max 929L is the powerhouse of my three bulls in this year’s Triple Threat Bull Sale. He is straight power and has many siblings to prove it. The granddam of this bull BGF 45N was my first black cow and was producing top of the pen bulls up to the age of 14. Out of all the calves the ol’ girl gave me she only had two daughters and passed down her legacy here to them. Which is now proven with the performance of this calf. Max is a bull you will want to really examine, and you will have to appreciate his depth, spring of rib, hind end and his flow. Whatever this cow produces and sells goes straight into an education fund for my post-secondary. If you are craving the taste of perfection in your herd I would seriously consider Max.

This group of 4 commercial heifers are right from Jodi’s commercial herd. The commercial is not big in numbers but with saying that the quality is high. Last year replacements were kept but with losing pastures that we rent, the replacement pen needs to be downsized. As like the purebred heifers, they were weaned on the 26 of sept and 2 weeks later were turned into a pasture to graze down at the south farm. They were brought to Falun at Christmas time. They then have been put on a growing ration.

BIDDING: All animals to sell through the sale must be sold by auction with each animal selling to the highest bidder. Private sales will not be allowed except as otherwise provided for in the terms and conditions. No by-bidding will be permitted. DISPUTES: In cases of disputes, bidding will be reopened between the parties involved in the dispute. If no further bid is made, the buyer will be the person from whom the auctioneer accepted the last bid and the auctioneer’s decision will be final. ANNOUNCEMENTS: Any announcement from the auction block will take precedence over the printed matter in the catalogue. Buyers are therefore cautioned to pay attention to any such announcements. LIABILITIES: All persons attend the sale at the their own risk. CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRY: A registration certificate issued by the applicable breed association and a certificate of registry duly transferred will be furnished to the buyer of each animal after final payment has been made.
HEALTH: All sale animals have met all necessary health requirements and it is the buyer’s responsibility and expense to determine health requirements for importing any animal into his province or state. Bohrson Marketing Services assume no responsibility for the health status of any animal in the sale. PURCHASER’S RISK: Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold. SHIPPING: Shipping of cattle, semen and/or embryos are the responsibility and expense of the purchaser. Purchasers are requested to provide shipping instructions at settlement on sale day. INSURANCE: We strongly recommend insurance for full value on all purchases. ACCIDENTS: Every precaution will be taken to protect the safety and comfort of buyers, neither the Sales Management, auctioneer, consignors or Association assumes any responsibility in this matter and disclaims any liability legal or otherwise in the event of accident or loss of property.
