This group of breeders has established a long term history of excellence through this sale and their own bull offerings. With the familiar returning faces to the sale, we also have a past consignor returning in Serhienko Cattle Co and two new consignors in Sliding Hills Charolais and Johnson Ranching - talk about a complementary group of breeders and people to continue and build the Sterling tradition. Also new this year is a relocation of the sale to the farm at Horseshoe E Charolais - Layne and Paula and family have hosted their annual bull sale at the farm since 2019 and with that great facility and atmosphere it just made sense to host the Sterling as well. The Charolais breed is poised to continue its enviable position in the business and every other breed takes note. With the power of the tan and silver hide, strong commercial acceptance, and resulting strong bull sales, there has been many new breeders jumping onboard the excitement. All of the females we have consigned to the Sterling Sale this year trace back to Pastor on the bottom side. It wasn’t planned that way but when we selected some of our best that’s the way it is. Bo-Peep 28J is among the first of the Bojangles females to be offered. Bojangles is working really well for us leaving us a very consistent set of calves with superior foot structure. Bo-Peeps dam is a solid producer and 28J’s maternal sister is in our show string his fall.
