Sammy 16J ET is a powerfully constructed female with great length of body, stoutness and tremendous overall capacity. She keeps all this in an attractive package while still remaining sound and flexible on the move.

Their dam, Miss TMF Shameless, was a highly popular bred heifer on the show road in 2019 for Samantha Kennedy and her family of Crown Hill Acres. Along with Venture Livestock we purchased the right to flush this female. She dropped an absolute fault free udder with great milk flow. The flush to the exclusive B Bar Warhawk 11G has proven to be exciting as he was our 2019 highly anticipated lead off bull to Bar 3R Limousin for $15,750.

It is bittersweet for the CJLA to be taking part in the 2021 National Limousin Sale. While we are excited to be selling our 2021 calf CJLA Junior Pride 1J, we are sad to say goodbye to our donation dam Limolyn Colette. The donation dam program has been very successful for the CJLA over the past few years with numerous females being sold in sales across Canada, however like all good things, this program too must come to an end.

The CJLA has decided to part with our donation dam Limolyn Colette while she is still producing knockout calves. Limolyn Colette has proven herself time and time again with calves that have joined well known herds. CLF 520C is a massive, brood female with an outstanding udder that has kept its shape over the years. Due for a mid-January calf, Limolyn Colette will be a fantastic addition to any herd. Bar 3R is extremely excited to offer the pick of the cowherd in the Solid Gold sale. We have also included our 2 year old bull pen in this offer.

Bar 3R started 40 years ago when Ken bought his first group of heifers. The 3 brothers, David, Ken and Kevin continued to grow the purebred herd. Today Ken and wife Paddy and their 3 girls, Jamie, Kaci and Kelli as well as their families run 100 enrolled females as well as a herd of black commercial cows.

The purebred cows are sired by some of the breed’s leading influences, TMF Landmark, DLVL Young Gun, B Bar Titanium, DLVL Bud Ice and B Bar Warhawk.

In 1993, they established the BAR 3R Limousin bull sale, selling 30 bulls annually. It is held every year in March. This year, March 17 2022, will be the 27th annual sale.

Bar 3R attended shows across Saskatchewan and Alberta including 10 years showing at Canadian Western Agribition. The highlight being raising the champion pen of feeder steers two years in a row, 1995 and 1996.

With the cowherd at peak numbers, it was decided to host a production sale. The Focus on Females sale was held in Lloydminster, SK from 20002007. One of the foundation females of Bar 3R was Zippy, her progeny was prevalent in these sales. Females were sold all across Canada and embryos were sold all over the world.

The cows are pasture exposed from June 25th until September 25th to our walking herdsires, DLVL Bud Ice, Stoneyview Cruz and B Bar Warhawk. 10 females that were bred to Bud Ice are exposed from June 3rd until September 25th. The bred heifers are exposed to B Bar Carhartt from June 3rd until September 25th.

You can also choose from the Bar 3R 2020 bull pen (25 bulls) with red and black genetics both available.

We look forward to working with the successful bidder to help choose a female or bull to fit their program. Selection to be made by December 31, 2021
