Resolve has stamped his daughters with an attractive look, easy doing nature and great set of feet. We have calved out two sets of daughters now and they do not disappoint with their progeny, they wean off heavy calves without giving up condition. With Super Duty on the bottom side Rita should only mature into an even more attractive female. Super Duty females are extremely easy to pick out with their huge middles, great udders, and increasing production records. Rita has been a stand out since birth carrying herself with presence, easy doing nature, and sweet udder dropping. The mating to Stepping Stone may make you question my decision making but I didn’t plan on selling 71H and in our quest to make blaze faced reds we knew this had a great chance of doing it. Her dam, Zanta 10Z has been a strong producer for us with many sons selling to top commercial herds as well as CMS Rapid Fire going for $35,000 in our bull sale to the Leblonds in Quebec. Impulse was born with a twin sister, CMS Incentive 024H, who sold as a calf last year in this sale to Damian Moore & Amy Taylor.

We bred our black heifers to Walk This Way – he calves very easy and sires tremendous offspring, who explode into long spined, high performing calves. Clearwater Zelle is a heifer who is extremely hard to part with. She is the first female we are offering from our Oakview Fineprint sire. We are extremely pleased with Fineprint, he is a polled bull who can easily be used in any breeding pen. Fineprint left us with some very attractive females in the bred heifer pen at home and we are eagerly awaiting calving season.

Zelle’s mother was purchased as a heifer from the Little Creek program a few years back as we wanted to get the MFL Zelle line back on the farm.

Clearwater Zelle is a good representation of the capacity and do ability that Fineprint is leaving in all his females at Clearwater. We believe Clearwater Zelle has the maternal genetics to develop into a front pasture female and will raise some good ones.

Clearwater Pol Halina is a very attractive polled heifer that traces back to a farm favourite, our 2B cow. We have only offered up one female from 2B, a heifer purchased by Randy Ward. Halina’s Dam was the soggiest heifer we retained in our 2019 calf crop, and she did a great job on her first calf.

We expect Halina to grow into a very deep and broody cow who can be used on any bull out there. As we incorporate the polled genetics into our program, we are striving to produce females that keep the capacity and performance we are used to seeing out of the horned cattle. We expect Clearwater Pol Halina to continue to develop into a very versatile female who may just raise the next great homo polled herdsire.
