I would like to invite you to our 3nd Annual Bull Sale held at our ranch in Waldeck, SK. Thanks to all our past, present and future customers for your support and confidence in our program. This year will be a very special but busy bull sale as I had my first child 3 weeks early on February 11th - Ellie Brynn Schwan.

At Schwan Angus Ranch we have focused hard on building a strong cow herd; it has never been about numbers but rather quality. Our females need to be fertile – breeding back within two cycles, with great feet, udders and disposition. The bull pen was no different. We culled hard. The bulls need to have growth, nuts, great feet, deep ribbed and muscle. To the customer more than ever you can expect high-quality, functional cattle.

We are extremely excited about the bulls on offer. Once again we have tried to bring you our very best high quality bulls. There is some new and exciting sires like S A V Territory 7225 and McCumber Tribute 702 as well as our walking herd sires Schwan Journeyman 911 and Brooking Prime Commodity 7019 that customers have really admired. This group of bulls is deep and very consistent, resulting from our embryo program, strategic AI mattings and strong walking bulls that we have raised. There is both a mix of performance and heifer bulls. You will not be disappointed. Many people that have stopped to tour the bulls, have commented that it is our best set to date!

Schwan Angus Ranch guarantees our bulls to be sound, fertile and reproductive in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Canadian Angus Assoc. for the first breeding season. Claims must be made by September 1st of year of purchase. If a problem occurs, please contact Ty immediately and we will provide a suitable replacement, if available, or a sale credit. This guarantee does not cover death, injury or mismanagement.

IN-HERD SEMEN

Schwan Angus Ranch retains the right to collect semen for in-herd use on any bull in the sale at their expense and buyers convenience.

DELIVERY

Free delivery to central points near your ranch in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. All other points will be cost shared. A discount of $100 will be provided for purchases hauled home on sale day.

SAV Territory 7225 is the $230,000 featured lot 1 bull from the 2018 Schaff Angus Valley sale and a major headliner at ST Genetics. He has secured the prominent position as the single greatest breeding son and heir to the throne of the now deceased legendary pathfinder sire, SAV Resource 1441. He is a beef bull supreme with massive volume, fleshing-ability and pure performance - the look of a real-word herdsire. Territory presents a large scrotal and high fertility with superb feet and a friendly disposition. The dam of Territory, SAV Emblynette 3293, is an industry icon regarded as SAV 004 Density 4336’s all-time greatest daughter.

We used Territory in our embryo program. These two mattings on offer hit it out of the park and will be sale headliners.

Schwan Territory 2037 is a personnel favorite with the potential to become a big-time herd bull. He expresses performance with length, thickness, muscle, capacity and superb structure. His beautiful moderate Prosecutor dam is known for raising the good ones; she is a front pasture donor with impeccable foot and udder quality. You will want to retain every female off this bull. A full flush sister, pictured below, sold to Brooking Angus Ranch last fall. Many people that have toured through the pen have really admired this bull. He is the real-deal!

Herd Bulls Alert! A truly impressive set of flush brothers by SAV Territory 7225 and our matron donor Brooking Annie 307. Both pedigrees are herd improvers from the reliable blending of SAV Resource 1441 and SAV Density 4336. These brothers are fully loaded with performance, power and maternal potency. They were early standouts with superb thickness, muscle shape, capacity and structure. Their dam Annie was a $30,000 purchase ten years ago and she has exceeded our expectations each and every year. People always comment on her ideal foot and udder structure to this day. She was extremely competitive in the show ring winning many banner and buckles. A full flush sister (pictured) sold to Brooking Angus Ranch for $13,500 last fall.

Schwan Supercharger 2010 is a powerfully built bull with incredible length, muscle and masculinity at an early age. He is massive from the ground up with a true herd bull presence. Sired by SAV Supercharger who is produced from the same cow family as SAV Renovation and SAV America. The Echo cow family on the bottom side of this pedigree stems back to the great HF Echo 187N. His full sister created many friends this fall and commanded $21,000 selling to Brooking Angus Ranch. Justin Morrison has stated, “Her udder is absolutely awesome. Among the best udders I have ever had on a two year old”. This bull has a huge future.

SCHWAN Renovation 2048

A herdsire candidate with a royally bred pedigree. Schwan Renovation 2048 is impressive from any angle with substance, style, stoutness and exceptional shape. Being the top weaning bull in the offering at 1060lbs; he is sure to pass on high performance in future offspring to come. His sire SAV Renovation 6822 has proven himself for siring functional, deep-bodied, muscular cattle. His dam being a full flush sister to SAV Cutting Edge 4857 was remarkable in terms of capacity, broodiness, udder quality and foot structure. A full flush sister was reserve senior heifer calf champion at Agribition and sold last fall in the All Star Angus sale to Dusty Rose Cattle Co. for $22,000. He truly will make an outstanding breeding piece!

Schwan Journeyman 911G is a front pasture breeding piece that you could admire over and over again. He is the product of a flush we purchased at the legendary Motive Event on Brooking Rose 201. Journeyman has far past our expectations in term of overall mass, easy fleshing, sound structure with a rare attractive look. A Herdsire of this caliber you don’t come by very often that combines – 2.0 calving ease while maintaining growth with an abundance of muscle. His first progeny are exciting with added performance and muscle in the bulls and an attractive look with a beautiful

udder in his females. His Dam was a favorite at Brooking Angus Ranch that exemplifies all the physical qualities they strive to produce. It was an easy choice to cross her with, the now deceased, S A V Renovation 6822 to create this flawless pedigree. With the passing of Renovation top cattle producers that have seen Journeyman feel he could be an easy replacement. We have used Journeyman on our heifers and have 8 bulls sired by him on offer. As you will see he stamps them with muscle, structure and an attractive look.

Schwan Journeyman 2012 is an impressive heifer bull candidate in terms of mass and overall substance while, maintaining a moderately low birth weight and still the ability to grow. His firsttime Stunner dam is exceptional in terms of fleshing ability, foot and udder quality. She is very fertile and was one of the first cows to calve again this year.
