Catalog design was done by Bohrson Marketing Services. The information in this catalog has been supplied by the seller and we believe it to be accurate. Updated supplement sheets and announcements from the block will take precidence over any incorrect printed material.

Health: All bulls have been vaccinated with Fusogard, Bovashield, and Covexin prior to sale day. All Livestock in the sale are cared for under the certified Bow Valley Livestock Health total herd health program.

Video Sale: The sale will be a video sale inside the Hardgrass Hub. Videos will be posted online prior to the sale and can be viewed through the DLMS website or rebelcreekangus.com .

Internet Bidding will be available through DLMS.ca, please ensure you register to bid in advance.

All sales shall be final and binding. Any dispute shall be settled by the auctioneer at or before time of sale.

Payment of livestock sold during the sale shall be paid in full to Rebel Creek Angus on sale day.

Transfer and Registration papers will be paid by the seller, and that no costs of the same be incurred by the purchaser.

All bulls are guaranteed to have passed a semen test preformed by a licensed veterinarian and be a sound breeder. Any bull that has not passed a semen test at the time of sale will be declared on sale day.

These bulls will be kept at Rebel Creek Angus at no additional cost to the buyer and will not be delivered until they have past a semen test. If the bull does not pass a semen test the bull will be refunded at the request of the purchaser.

Rebel Creek Angus will not be liable for more than the purchase price of the bull. .The bulls will be not available for pickup on sale day.

All bulls will be delivered within 2 weeks of the sale, please provide contact information and delivery instructions on sale day. Delivery within 400km of Pollockville will be at no cost to the purchaser.

The buyer is responsible for acquiring bull insurance.

Rebel Creek Angus will not be responsible to compensate for any injury or death occurring to the bull prior to delivery.

All bulls and heifers are available for viewing at the Ranch prior to the sale. Rebel Creek Angus and Rooke Land and Cattle will not assume any responsibility for any accidents occurring on the premise.

Rebel Creek Angus reserves the right to collect semen of any bull for in herd use only at the sellers’ expense and the buyers convenience.

The Rooke heifers are back for auction in our 2018 sale! As some of you may know, for many years Rooke Land and Cattle provided top commercial Red Angus yearling heifers in the Top Grade Red Angus sale. We have carefully selected these animals so that only good traits and genetics will be for offer. The commercial herd has been carefully managed for many years, being certain of both the dam and sire for each calf which helps eliminate poor qualities, such as temper, udder, feet, and performance.

We have had a lot of positive feedback from those buying these heifers to be resold as bred heifers or kept as replacement heifers.

There are also some Rebel Creek purebred heifers offered for sale as well, they are being sold as commercials. If the buyer would like the heifers to remain registered, this can be done at 50% extra of the purchase price of the entire lot, individual heifers will not be sorted out.

All heifers will be palpated prior to the sale. Commercial lots will be designated on sale day, purebred groups will be sold as indicated, but may be subject to change on sale day.

BW: BIRTH WEIGHT – Is a predictor of birth weight.

WW: WEANING WEIGHT - Is expressed in lbs. Is an indicator of growth from birth to weaning (205 days), the higher the epd, the heavier on average the calf at weaning.

YW: YEARLING WEIGHT - Is expressed in lbs. Is an indicator of weight at 365 days of age. The higher the epd, the heavier his calves at weaning.

MILK - Is an indicator of milking ability in daughters. It represents the differences in weaning weights of calves due to the amount of milk produced by their mothers. It is expressed in lbs of calf weaned. The higher the epd, the more weaning lbs a sire’s daughters will add to her calves via milk.

TM: TOTAL MATERNAL - Is a combination of WW and Milk. Higher numbers are favourable.

CED: CALVING EASE DIRECT - The average difference in ease which calves will be born when a sire is bred to first calf heifers. The higher the number the higher probability that his calves will be born unassisted. This epd best describes the shape of the calf at birth.

CEM: CALVING EASE MATERNAL - Is expressed as a difference in percentage of unassisted births with a higher value indicating a greater probability of unassisted births in his first calf daughters.

REA: RIB EYE AREA - The larger the epd the larger expected rib eye area.

CW: CARCASS WEIGHT - This epd predicts differences in the average hot carcass weight in calves.

MARB: MARBLING - The higher the epd the more intramuscular fat expected in the rib eye of a sire’s prodigy FAT: Expressed in inches. Is a predictor of the differences in back fat thickness at the 12th rib. The higher the epd, the more back fat is expected in a sire’s prodigy.

TND: TENDERNESS - Indicates the differences in genetic merit for tenderness based on the amount of shear force required to slice through cooked steak samples. This is an i50k result only DMI: DRY MATTER INTAKE - Quantifies the genetic differences amount animals for feed intake, in the feedyard while consuming finishing rations. This is an i50k result only RFI: RESIDUAL FEED INTAKE - Describes genetic variance in dry matter consumed per day, as compared to expected feed consumption, based on body weight and growth rate. This is an i50k result only S.C.: SCROTAL CIRCUMFERENCE - All yearling bulls must achieve 32 cm to meet breeding standards.
