You’re going to find a lot of power bulls like Royal Red, Super Duty, Stubby, Wescott. These are some of your power bulls and you’re going to find some calving ease bulls in there like Dr. Phil and Cobra, and in the full blood section Crossroad Radium. These are leading bulls in the industry these folks are bringing to you for your appraisal. The depth of quality is very strong in this year’s offering. We think these bulls are excellent and have lots of genetic merit to boost any program this year. Delivery
Bulls that are picked up sale day will receive a $100 discount. Any bulls returning to the seller’s farm must be insured, unless arrangements have been made between the buyer and the seller. Deliveries will start around April 1, at the seller’s convenience. Bulls will be delivered free of charge up to 200km from vermilion. Bulls traveling to farther designations will be at cost share. Replacement heifers are to be picked up at NCL Vermilion.

Welcome to the 2ND annual RANCHMEN’S Simmental Bull Sale. We would like to thank all the past buyers and bidders that have supported us in our sales. The bull pen has a great selection of bulls from performance to calving easy; we have a little bit for everyone this year. There will be several top AI sires represented along with some of are walking herd bulls. The fullblood bulls are diluter tested and a select few purebred bulls will be homo polled/colour tested. It also should be noted that these bulls had NO CREEP before weaning. The replacement heifers came from a group of 330 head. As with the bulls, these heifers are sired by both Ai bulls and are walking bulls. Heifers are palpated before the sale for breeding soundness. Most of the heifers will be high percentage Simmental and several will be ½ to ¾ sisters. Any questions on the Bulls or replacement heifers please call Howard or myself. Visitors are always welcome to view cattle prior to the Sale.

Lynch is a tank of a bull. He was the second heaviest at weaning at 935 lbs. This embryo bull is sired by the tried and test LFE (Stubby) 322U and his dam is the CG Black Opal 652S cow that makes her home at Mader Ranches. Opal has a mile long list of progeny and several herd bulls to her name. There isn’t much guess work on this bull with having such a proven dam and sire. We also have two full sisters to Lynch in the keeper pen, that are most likely going to be donors in the future. Leewood Ranch would like to draw inherd semen on this bull.

Jungle Cat comes from an embryo we purchased from LaBatte Simmentals and we are glad we did. He comes with a stacked pedigree that just works. Jungle Cat is moderate framed, with great muscling, and performance. We have a full sister to Jungle Cat in the replacement pen that is a stunner. Very moderate, soggy easy doing bull. Vlad has been a tank since birth. I don’t think you can add any more muscle on this bull. A couple of ½ fleck bulls that are sired by Potash. Potash is a little greedy and 56 cows wasn’t enough, so he ended up breeding a few of my fullblood cows. Both these bulls come from well milking cows, that are easy keeping and both have daughters retained in herd. These bulls will give you that added milk in their replacements and pounds on their steers.

I AI-ed a few cows to WFL Identity and I really like the calves. I have a couple ¾ sisters to 72E that are honeys. I think 72E`s strength is going to be his daughters, with his calving ease and material traits. He`s not the biggest bull but he`ll work on those 2nd calvers and smaller framed cows.

This heifer bull is out of a first calver that I bought as a calf from The Source Sale. He’s a very smooth made bull with some solid production numbers. This dam is a good Bar 5 Hexagon daughter that’s caught to AI both years. She has a very nice udder and milks very well. I feel this is a heifer bull that will calve very well but will also give you heavy weight steers and replacements. Raduim females are moderate framed and are at the top in many fullblood herds in Canada. Ray is also Diluter free, so he can be used on black heifers to get those blaze faced calves.

Replacement Heifers
These heifers were mostly born in January and February. Heifers are palpated before the sale for breeding soundness. Most of the heifers will be high percentage Simmental and several will be ½ to ¾ sisters. The replacement heifers are on the same feed as the heifers we kept. There ration is made up of 6:1 mineral, protein supplement, straw, corn silage and oats. The heifers come from a group of 330+ heifer calves. As a group they averaged 742lbs at weaning and this includes the bottom end, which was shipped. Sires of the heifers can be viewed on farm. Some heifers will be sired by AI sires such as Kuntz Sheriff, WFL Absolute, NCB Cobra, High Stakes, Crossroad Raduim, TNT Bootlegger and Beef king. This super soggy Addiction herd bull prospect will be having his birthday at sale time, little younger calf but holds his own with the older bulls in the pen. His easy doing dam was a larger framed cow with a good udder and structure. She has a put a few bulls in past sales. His great hair coat is a bonus.

Hello cattle breeders. Welcome to the second annual Ranchman‘s Bull Sale. First off I would like to thank the Kuzio and the Lee Wood Ranch families for allowing Debbie and myself to be a part of this spectacular bull sale. A quick story about our operation, we run a small family Simmental business with our two sons, Cooper and Owen. We have about 20 cows and are located 6 miles east of Viking, Alberta. For the past year we have been working closely with Quinn Wilson. We are proud to have two bulls here from Wilson Stock Farms at this sale along with our offering of 3 calving ease bulls and 2 powerhouse bulls. I currently work with Scott Bohrson of Bohrson marketing as one of the sales consultants on that team. The Ranchman‘s Sale has quite a diverse offering of genetics. Deb 6E is a very interesting bull If you’re needing that splash of white, this is the dude for you . With the 80 pound birth weight, out of a first calving heifer, 6E has the birth weight and the pedigree to be a calving ease bull. His mother is an Absolute daughter which is known for calving ease in the Simmental breed . 6E is a long bull with a soft shoulder. He is a very attractive looking bull. I would highly recommend him to be used on second calving daughters and maybe try him on a couple of first time heifers just to see .The sire of 6E is a black blazed faced bull that Soderglen Ranches purchased from Anchor D Ranches two years ago. He does have a different pedigree in the purebred world that might fit nicely in your program.

Deb 15E, here’s a solid red Powerbull . This bull has been at the top of my list all summer. This calf has a deep rib, hard muscle and is great footed. He looks like a bull! His mother is a very sound footed, good uddered cow. This bull would really work well on a nice set of red Angus cross cows. Being out of the highest selling bull from Maxwell‘s Royal Red, 15E will add power and performance.

WSF 104E is one of the first Westcott bulls to sell out of a very prolific cow from the IPU herd. 104E is a wide topped, deep ribbed, real hairy beef bull. The Westcott calves have calving ease built into them. If you’re needing a red bull that you can turn out and not look back, 104 E is the bull for you. I cannot say enough good about these Westcott calves, they hit the ground and get up and start to nurse. They have loads of hair and hip. 104E will do that with your calves, he is worth a second look.

Deb 7E is a Cobra bull and is pretty easy to describe. He is hairy, soggy, thick and he has great feet. You will find all Cobras are sound footed bulls. This calf’s mother has been in our herd for many, many years. I think a lot of this cow Magenta. Her body type,her thickness and her do-ability has been why she has stayed one of our foundation cows. You will want to keep every daughter off this bull, and get a Brinks truck ready for when you sell every steer . The calving ease in these Cobras are second to none.

TERMS – The terms of the sale are cash or cheque payable at par at sale
location unless satisfactory credit arrangements have been made prior to the sale. The right of property shall not pass until after settlement is made. The Ranchmen’s group reserve the right to require a certified cheque as settlement before releasing any sale cattle. Should the purchaser fail to settle for his purchase the breeders reserve full power to resell the animal to the best advantage either publicly or privately, without further notice. Any loss arising from such resale together with keep and all other expenses shall be payable by the defaulter. All settlements must be made with the clerks of the sale before any cattle will be released. Ranchmen’s group and sales staff has the right to refuse bids from anyone who has a previous record of default in payment and who has not made prior credit arrangements, prior to the sale with the group. BID-Every animal consigned to the sale must be sold by auction. No by bidding will be permitted. Each animal will be sold to the highest bidder. DISPUTES- In case of disputes, bidding will be reopened between the parties involved. If no further bid is made the buyer will be the person from whom the auctioneer accepted the last bid. The auctioneer’s decision in such matters will be final. PURCHASER’S RISK- Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold. ANNOUNCEMENTS from the auction block will take precedence over printed matter in the catalogue. Buyers are therefore cautioned to pay attention to any such announcements. CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRY- The proper Registration or Recordation paper, as the case may be, will be duly transferred and furnished to the buyer for each animal after the settlement has been made. SHIPPING- Assistance will be given in making shipment after the sale but no risk is assumed by the Seller. Purchasers are requested to furnish shipping instructions when making settlement.

GUARANTEE- All animals will carry standard breeding guarantee as specified by the Canadian Simmental Association. At no time shall the seller’s liability exceed the purchased price of the animal. EXCEPTION TO GUARANTEE – In cases where the animal is subjected to any hormonal or surgical reproduction techniques after the sale, the guarantee shall be null and void. In the cases of bulls, they are guaranteed to breed naturally according to the Canadian Simmental Association Guarantee but no guarantee is given that semen from any bull will freeze. HEALTH – All animals will have passed the required tests as determined by Agriculture Canada at sale location. It is the buyer’s responsibility to determine health requirements for importing any animal into his province or state. ACCIDENTS- Although every precaution will be taken to protect the safety and comfort of buyers, neither the Ranchmen’s group or any Sales Staff or Association assumes any responsibility in this matter and disclaims any liability legal or otherwise in the event of accident or loss of property. RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS – The above terms and conditions of the sale shall constitute a contract between the buyer and the seller and be equally binding to both. Resale of animals following purchase in this sale shall constitute a separate transaction and the rights and obligations of the two parties connected thereto are not covered by the terms and conditions of this sale. PICTURES- By attending are sale you are giving your consent for your picture to be taken and used for promotional or advertising purposes only of the Ranchmen’s group. If you wish to not have your picture used please advise us in writing immediately after the sale.
