42 years is only made possible by the supporters of the sale and by the consignors always stepping up to bring their very best to town, this years offering is certainly is no exception. Black and red purebred heifers, horned and polled fleck females and elite open heifer calves will be available to you in this stout set of sale cattle. As you sort through the sale offering, you will find bred females that carry some of the most exclusive and elite services that guarantee you a quick return on investment, and powerful calendar year calves that carry the genetic potency to be future matrons in your herd for years to come. Sale. What a difference a year makes! Though 2022 has had its share of ups and downs, we are in a lot better shape now than this time last year. Calf prices are at an all time high and cow numbers are low. Perfect time to invest in some quality genetics.

One that was always earmarked to stay home but for some reason she’s here! We cannot say enough good things about what Brooks has done for our program. His sons are always popular but it’s the females that get us so excited. 6J is the type of female we always strive to produce. Soft made, deep sided and easy to look at. Her full sister weaned the heaviest bull calf in the pen this fall. To say that the dam of this female , affectionately known as Spice, got lots of attention this summer would be an understatement. She has had plenty of admirers over the years from show judges to astute cattlemen. She is arguably the best female we have ever produced and has so much femininity while also maintaining substance and capacity. This is the first female we have ever offered off RXR 19B and she is special.

Oakview Casey 38C was a high selling female at the 2016 PTSA sale and has been nothing less than stellar for us. Welcome to the 2022 Pembina Triangle Simmental Association Sale. This year we have expanded our offering to include 10 bred heifers. These heifers are from the top of the pen and are sired by some of the popular bulls in the industry like Betts, Tycoon and Guerrero, as well as some tried and tested herd bulls like Slapshot, Current Affair and Lieutenant. These heifers are ones that we are very proud to bring to town. They are a solid group that has been a pleasure to work with as they are all extremely quiet. We feel they will be an asset to any herd and will mature into functional broody cows that last.

Jezebel is one of those heifers that we are extremely proud to bring to town but also having a lot of difficulty letting her go. We had plans to show Jezebel this summer, but with the late spring we changed plans and she headed out to pasture. Here is a powerful dark red female that is soggy made with a deep flank yet still maintains a feminine and eye appealing appearance. She has always been a stand out heifer and is always the first one visitors pick out. She combines the Betts presence and thickness with the maternal strength and longevity of the Bengie cow family. Buy with confidence, Jezebel is the kind of heifer that will raise you exceptional calves, will milk hard and will leave a lasting impact in your herd.

Lieutenant daughters are all stamped with that same fancy look and mellow disposition. Jaycee is another compact female that still shows tremendous depth of body and overall capacity. Before selections were made for the Triangle Sale Todd asked me if there were any heifers that were off the table for selections. Jazz was that one heifer that jumped out at me that I wanted to keep.

From the time she was a couple moths old I loved her crazy dark pigment and her softness. As she grows and matures her pigment gets even darker and she’s developed black around her eyes. Jazz is out of a Precious Thing female that we purchased at Prospect Hill’s dispersal sale as a bred heifer. She has consistently produced heavily pigmented easy doing calves. Oakview Hank is a bull we kept back for ourselves as we always find it difficult to find a true calving ease fullblood bull to use on our heifers. Hank checks all the boxes, easy calving, great pigment, mellow disposition and out of a truly beautifully uddered Metro cow.

Here is another Slapshot female that has the same depth of body, big barrel and mellow disposition that we strive to produce. Joanna is a brood cow in the making who is backed by some heavy hitters. With the likes of Jeremiah, Titan and Slapshot in her pedigree the

t’s always exciting to get back into the swing of cattle sales, we enjoy getting out to the Pembina Triangle sale to see our friends and customers for this annual event. In our part of the world, it’s good to see that most people got lots of feed put up this year and I hope everyone reading this has had a better year than last.

At PLCC this year, we are excited to walk IPU Bentley 81F as our main black baldy herdsire. Three out of our four heifers in this sale are bred to our new calving ease sire we purchased with Triple R Simmentals. We couldn’t pass up the opportunity to get a Red Heat sired bull out of a 56U x Sage cow, which is a genetic combination we are excited about for obvious reasons.

It’s females like this that is exactly the reason we purchased IPU Bentley 81F. When the opportunity to buy the 4 year old bull came about at the New Years Resolution sale we knew we had to buy him. He originally commanded $92,000 as a yearling and his sons and daughters have been highly sought after across Western Canada. His daughters have nicely made udders and impeccable feet and his sons are heavily muscled with good performance. 17J is a very attractive, angular female with tremendous capacity that is sure to be a top producing cow in any herd. strong topped Lethal Dose daughter with a touch of white on her face. Her dam is a Delight Simmentals cow that came out of this very sale. She has an ideal udder with small teats, she works hard and weans us a big calf every year. Her bull sold last year to Lee Friesen of Boissevian. 76J is a long sided heifer with excellent feet, good extension and an attractive skull shape. She is a female that is sure to have longevity.

Bentley heifer that I likely wouldn’t sell if we weren’t walking him right now. His daughters will certainly make their mark in our herd in the future. A nice red heifer with a big hip and heavily muscled, she is a powerhouse. Her grandmother came out of Friday Night Lights several years back. We partnered up with Alliance Simmentals and purchased Jayda’s dam Oakview Gemma out of the Pembina Triangle Sale in 2020. Jayda’s dam has easily become one of our new donor cows after seeing how much Jayda changed as a calf and with a picture perfect udder. We fell Jayda is going to go out and produce like her dam Gemma. We bred Jayda to our new herd bull WLB 5J a WLB Top Tier 456G son which will make an interesting combination.

TCW Georgia was shown successfully as a two year old with TCW Juno were Reserve Senior Champion Pair in the Simmental show at Manitoba Ag Ex. Welcome to our 42nd Pembina Triangle Simmental Association Sale. As many of us already know, every year bring a new set of conditions. With it, a new set of adjustments that need to be done. For those of that met the new challenges, the rewards. Around here we will had lots of grass in our pastures, and will have plenty of feed for the winter. And if the price, that by brother got for his yearling steers and heifers

we should get good prices for our calves.

I would like to thank, the several repeat buyers, of my heifers from past sales. It gives me the confidence, that my cattle are going to their new homes, fitting in and working for them.

I will admit, my cattle will not be carrying the condition they should have for this sale. The plan was to have my sale heifers selected and home, to prepare for this sale, the first week of Aug. There is a saying “ Man plans, God laughs”. For some reason, I must have been very entertaining to him, because a lot of other things that needed to be done, came in between. The result, 6 weeks later, the heifers finally came home, and selected, just before catalogue deadline.
