Welcome to the 2025 MAVV Farms Bull & Female Event. Mike Imler and Family are some of the great folks in the industry we are proud to have a close working relationship with. Mikes passion for agriculture runs deep and we feel his commitment is very evident in this set of sale cattle. As always, Mike is having his December bull sale and again will have 14 high quality bred heifers available for your appraisal. On behalf of the Imlers and the BMS team, we invite you to join us December 18th near Okotoks.
The bred heifers on offer are truly exciting and represent the MAVV program to a tee. Females with rib shape and capacity along with strong udders, good feet and great eye appeal. These females are a combination of being sired by Mikes potent herd bull battery and off exciting ai bulls. They carry very good breeding services to some of the industry’s most used and proven. These females are as good in quality as ever and represent the powerful cow families that call MAVV home.
The 2025 bull calves on offer are highlighted by the powerful herd bulls Mike has invested into as well as many well used sires across the industry. These bull
calves are built and geared for todays industry and are full of red meat and muscle, chocked with rib shape, depth of body and hair coats. The unique offering of calendar year bull calves in December gives you the opportunity to get your herd bull shopping done early before calving or the rush of spring bull sales and you can do it all in a great one stop shop for all things Simmental. CATTLE INSPECTION
All bulls will carry an identity tag, tattoo and required CCIA button. Bulls will be available for inspection prior to the sale.
BREEDING GUARANTEE
All Cattle are sold as sound and right and sell with a responsible breeders guarantee of satisfaction. In the unlikely event of a dispute, the regular Breeders Guarantee, standard with Canadian Simmental, shall apply.
SIGHT UNSEEN GUARANTEE
In the event you are not able to make it to the sale, feel confident with a 100% satisfaction guarantee. You must contact Mike Imler or sales staff to discuss the bulls and we will find a bull that suits your requirements. If you are not happy, you don’t own him.
INSURANCE
Ownership risk to purchaser commences when the Auctioneers hammer falls. Livestock Insurance is recommended. MAVV Farms assumes no responsibility for bulls returning to the ranch following the sale.
DELIVERY
Free Delivery of bulls in western Canada. Bulls will be delivered in a reasonable time frame in the spring after completing a semen test.
TERMS OF SALE
Terms are cash or cheque. No sale entries will be released until satisfactory settlement has been made. Registration papers will be supplied upon completion of payment.
LIABILTY
All person who attend this sale do so at their own risk, and the owners and sale staff assume no liability, legal, or otherwise for property loss or for any accidents that may occur.

Errors discovered in the catalogue will be corrected from the auction block at the beginning of the sale and such corrections will take precedence over printed material in this catalogue
SEMEN INTEREST
All bulls sell 100% interest & 100% possession. MAVV Farms does retain the right to collect any bulls in the sale at their expense.
BULL WINTERING PROGRAM
All Buyers have the option of having their bull purchase wintered. Bulls purchased for $3000 and over will be wintered at no cost to the buyer. All bulls staying for the winter are required to have insurance on them. Delivery or pick-up arrangements are to be made by April 1, 2026. In the event that a bull fails a semen test we will work with the buyer to find the best solution possible, weather it be a replacement bull of their choosing, sale credit or complete refund.

Welcome to the 4th annual MAVV Farms Bull and Female event. I still get overwhelmed at the amount of support we have received looking back at the past three years from our buyers, and the entire purebred Simmental industry. The very exciting part of this business is the relationships that you build with repeat customers each year and the new customers that you also get to meet each year. We are incredibly grateful for all of you.
This is also the time of year we reflect on everything we have done to get to sale day and how it has all come together. I have said it before and I will say it again, without all our family and employees we would not be able to make this machine roll. Everyone here at the farm plays a part in the success of putting this sale on.
I looked back, and in each welcome letter of our previous three years of catalogs I have talked about how strong and record breaking the year has been in the cattle business. Well guess what, we just blew the doors off the past three years with 2025. Steer calves trading over $4000 and commercial bred heifers averaging over $6500!! Had you of told me we were headed here four years ago, I would have told you that you were crazy, yet here we are. Agriculture as a whole is a very exciting industry to be a part of these days.
2025 has been a very exciting year for our family. On September 8th we welcomed baby Arora. Vanden and Vienna have both kept us pretty busy with baseball, hockey, 4-H and rodeo. Vanden completed his 3rd year with his cow project in 4-H, again taking home Grand Champion for the 2nd year in a row. You will find another one of his bull calves for sale in here this year and he is again one of the best. Vanden also won U15 baseball provincials for his team’s division this summer. Vienna showed her heifer to reserve champion (right behind Vanden) and sold her first market steer very successfully to Sobeys in Okotoks. She continues to play female hockey and as I write this her team goes for gold in their home U11A tournament tomorrow.
As you browse through the catalog this year you will find that we are very high on our herd bulls. We feel that we have made some additions of the best bulls available in the simmental breed to better build our program. Not only are we excited to showcase the bull calves this year, but we look forward to bettering our cow herd with these sires. It has been a very good couple of years in terms of making our herd younger while maintaining the performance we desire. I really encourage you to come and have a look at the bulls in person if at all possible because of the time of year and the massive amount of change in these bulls from when we pictured in late October up to sale day. We really look forward to seeing and visiting with everyone come sale day!

MAVV Modern is a very deep, dark red full Fleckvieh heifer that definitely catches your eye when you walk in the heifer pen and sets a presence within the group. I really admire her nice smooth polled head right through her smooth, soft made square body type. She exhibits a big ole middle on her and is developing a very nice tight udder. She has equal sized goggles on both sides of her face and pigment on her lips and teats. Being bred very early to Battle Cry is sure to give some excitement to her new owner. Diluter Free.

Millie was one that we were really excited about being born into our program here. Her dam, Lady A 905G was purchased in the Family Matters sale for $26,000. She was the big broody type of polled cow that we really felt we could build more of our polled program around. She still looks as good as the day we bought her, even after being flushed numerous times since purchasing. Millie was the calf inside her, and she has been a favorite since. She’s very moderate made, deep dark red with small goggles and a very nice smooth polled head and front end on her. I may even be more excited about the service she is carrying to North Star for a potential homo polled calf whichever sex it may be. Hetero Polled.

She’s very square made and moves really nice. Her dam is very similar to Maddie in all aspects, we have her first daughter in our herd and this year’s bull calf is in the sale as well. I had a lot of good luck with Anchor D Outlook, it was really easy to keep the Outlook daughters around. I think she will catch your eye as well come sale day. Diluter Free.

We were lucky to purchase this embryo years ago from Wells Crossing and finally decided it was time to put it in. If you’re an old school fleckvieh enthusiast then this girl is made just for you. Her flashy pigmentation makes her a stand out in the pen. You can’t help but appreciate how proportionately made she is. Mable has a beautiful udder developing and we are expecting big things from her in the future!

Her dam was our pick from the Sun Rise Simmentals dispersal when we were searching for a red flush cow. She has not disappointed. The straight blaze down the middle of her face makes her a super attractive female. We have had a lot of success with Top Tier progeny, and I really wish this heifer was staying at home. Brooks at 9 years old still resides here and he still bred a smaller group of cows again this spring. Her dam Blairs Cora 685D was one of the very first four Angus females we bought with a goal to make ½ bloods just like this. Mallorie is very square and soft made with lots of rib and middle to her. Starting off strong with this deep, dark, long bodied Malone show calf. Vanden did an exceptional job again this year raising this guy on his cow Kitty 7K, who is a favourite Battle Cry daughter around here. She produces great bull calves year after year and won Vanden Grand Champion Female again this year closing out her 4-H career. Niko catches your eye the second you walk in the pen with his dark pigment, he also makes himself hard to miss as hes usually affectionately rubbing against you wanting scratches. Her first calf last year was one of our high selling bulls selling to Cody Jackson.

Another hard to miss Malone son in MAVV Nils 76N. This guy is thick thick thick! He is that eye catching dark red with a moderate frame and great haircoat to him. This is our first big crop of Malone calves and we are more impressed each day walking through the bull and heifer pens. His mother Jaylen has put both her previous bulls through our sale, one selling to MGM Cattle in Olds AB and last years to UXL Ranching in Millarville AB. With this being her third calf and all making the cut, this cow has a bright future.

I really appreciate his soft make with so much muscle and balance. His dam was a huge volume cow that we sold in the World Sale a few summers ago going to Dunmac Farms and BMS. We did have some embryos in storage and have loved all the calves from the Malone mating. Maybe we will showcase some heifers next fall??

Naylor is a bull that I have admired from day one. His pigmentation makes him very attractive and makes him stand out as well. One of the bigger bodied bulls in the pen, he has a huge ass end in him with a ton of depth and excellent early testicle development. I really like his smooth head and shoulders with a 98lb BW. Look for some performance in this dude!

Sadly Dale was taken far too soon and is greatly missed by all of us.
