The Total Program Welcome to Justamere’s 19th Annual Bull Sale. Hello and welcome to the Justamere Annual Bull Sale. It’s the 19th year for this event and without a doubt as I write this letter, Agriculture around North America and even around the world looks its best and brightest in history. The cattle business is on track for the most profitable future on record. This is a great accomplishment by each and every one of us that have fought through and stuck with the business that built Agriculture in Western Canada. The Angus breed seems to know no boundaries with consistent growth in all sectors of the supply chain. Attending bull sales, auction mart sales, calf sales, it’s great to see and feel the positive fresh outlook on many people’s faces. At Justamere, we have a set of 40 bulls that I am extremely proud of to put our name on and stand behind. We are focusing more on quality than quantity the last few years and boy has it been rewarding. Our tremendous female sale last fall averaged over $7,000.00 on 40 awesome females. We want to give thanks to everyone who helped that happen. Shelly and I have our son Jon V as the main help around the farm most days and it has been rewarding to work with him and get a fresh set of eyes to look at where we are headed. We also want to thank Duane and Carmen Hanson and family for coming on board so to speak, last summer. Duane is a huge asset to Justamere; he can AI, weld, fix just about anything and feed cows all in between shifts with his real job in the oilfield. We certainly appreciate it. As I mentioned earlier I feel we have the very best set of bulls from oldest to youngest or vice versa, we have ever had. They are out of young breed leading females and sired by the very best genetics created in our Justamere program, as well as the top programs in North America. The bulls are stout made, big topped, super hairy, sound footed and good testicled. Sired by breed changers like Justamere Bada Bing, Justamere Panama Jack, Stabilizer and AI sires like EXAR Purpose, EXAR Upward, Lutton 0409 and Emblazon. All breed leaders in carcass, performance, maternal and growth. Many of these bulls are brothers to recent show ring champions for Justamere or our many customers. We certainly appreciate the five awesome bulls coming from Express Ranches; these bulls are on the leading edge of the Angus breed and only available in this sale. A direct son of the famous Rolling Rock Envious Blackbird 9982. This wonderful female has produced numerous champions for us as well as in excess of $160,000 in revenue and guess what she has, a hell of a bull calf by Sankey Justified on her this spring at the age of 15 and being flushed a few times, I think that says a lot for her abilities as an elite Angus cow. The sire is Bada Bing; we love this bull’s moderate frame, thick butt and super disposition. He is a bull that was destined for the show barn except for a short ear that held him back. We named this stud Diesel way back last spring because he was the thickest, stoutest, coolest looking calf we had. Then the frost damage came and he lost a little of his ear. Not good for the show road but no problem to go out and sire you some easy calving, fast growing, heavy weaning steers or replacement females that are perfect. We fell in love with this bull at Denver, where he was crowned Senior Champion Bull in January 2014. His super look, his great thickness and solid fluid movement in a very neat and tidy package. His Sudden Impact mother is to die for. We purchased Canadian Semen rights on the spot. We are hoping to have semen available by early April; however it does take time to get it all done properly. We thank the many breeders who have shown interest. We decided to offer 40 doses which we will sell in 10 dose packs. This will be the only semen available this spring in Canada. Jay Fox Children Trust Fund As time goes by, we stop to reflect and give thanks to the many that supported Jay and Angie and the kids in their time of need. Not only through this bull sale but the Manitoba Cattleman’s Association and any others that supported this initiative. The Next Generation of Justamere...
On January 15th, we were honored to have had Ron Maclean and his crew here to do the taping of the introduction to Hockey Day in Canada 2014 that Lloydminster was hosting this year. Jon and myself unfortunately missed this great opportunity; however Lyal Sr and Jim & Jorja were able to be here and meet and work with Ron Maclean. They had such a great experience. Jim also was the lucky one chosen by Ron to say a line in the opening with him and ride in the wagon pulled by Clydsdales. His line was “ Look after the person on the other side of your Ranch line and the world will come to your door,� a very common saying that Jonathan Fox II would always say. Jim still talks about this opportunity and will never forget his experience and loved the fact the he could watch himself on National TV on the day of Hockey Day In Canada.

Terms & Conditions... Cattle Inspection: All carry permanent identity tags, corresponding to Sale Lot Numbers. All shall be available for inspection prior to sale. All Cattle Are Sold: Subject to such tests as required for export under regulations of the Health of Animals Branch, Department of Agriculture for Canada those corresponding to Bureau of Animal Industry requirements. Breeding Guarantee: All cattle are sound and right, and all with a responsible breeder guarantee of satisfaction. In the event of any unlikely dispute, the regular terms and conditions, standard with the Canadian Aberdeen Angus Association shall apply. Announcements: Errors discovered in the catalogue will be corrected by announcements from the auction stand at sale time and such corrections will take precedence over the printed matter in the catalogue. Genetics Testing: All cattle in the 2014 Bull Sale are Anthrogryposis Multiplex Free (AMF) and (NHF) Neuropothic Hydrocephalus Free or listed as No Carrier Ancestry. Holding and Shipments: Approximately one week is required for export transfers and other documents to be processed. Export animals will be held at no charge and under excellent care. Joint export shipping arrangements to attain minimum shipping cost will gladly be made by the sale management if instructions to that effect are provided to clerk of the sale when settlement is made.

Mail Bids: May be entrusted in complete confidence to any of the Sale Staff listed or to Justamere Farms Ltd. Insurance: Ownership risk to purchaser commences when the Auctioneer’s hammer falls.
