We realize these two are a little different in their makeup but we feel they both offer a tremendous amount of potential. • B050 caught our attention early on while she was still nursing her 2 yearold mother out on grass. We picked up her Grandmaster sired dam from the SilverTowne program a couple of years ago and raising babies like this one will put a cow on the fast track to the donor pen at HPF. B050 also caught the attention of the Simmental Breeders Sweepstakes judge, Alan Miller, where he selected her Percentage Calf Champion. As infatuated as we are with this one right now, we are confident our affection for B050 will only grow as she matures and develops.

• Another strong contender for the “sleeper” award in our opinion, B330 did not have the best recip mother from the start. She came home quite a ways behind her contemporaries but has done nothing but make positive steps in the right direction. Study this one’s silhouette and you won’t find much that needs to be changed. Free and easy when she travels and attractive up through her front end, this one may not be Calf Champion at Louisville or Denver but we believe she could make the competition nervous next summer and fall.

• HPF MIss Independence P005, the 2006 Grand Champion Female at the National Western Stock Show, has been fairly stingy with embryos but when you get heifer calves like these two, it makes it worth the wait.
