First time users will select the REGISTER button from this page. Fill out the registration form to signup for a free user account and it allows you to select a username and password for use on all Farm Gate Timed auctions. This program will send you text and email messages whenever there is activity on your favorite lots or someone challenges your proxy bid and this is why you will be asked for both your current email and cell phone number. If you are a past participant in the Farm Gate Timed auctions simply enter your user name and password to continue. This takes you to a list of both current and upcoming Farm Gate Auctions.

2. You can choose your favourite lots in this sale at this time and the program will allow you to open either all sale lots or just your favorite lots on your screen. Any time there is active bidding on a lot you have identified on your favorite list you will get a text and/or an email noting this activity.

3. The program allows you to place a proxy bid on any sale lot. This in fact protects your interest in any lot of interest for you to a specified dollar value you set, when you may not be able to give 100% attention to the sale. If the lot has a $2000 bid on it and you place a proxy bid of $3500 into the system, the computer will bid $2100 for you but if some one else bids $2200, the computer will again bid for you, this time at $2300. The system will look after your interest to a maximum of $3500. If another bidder is on at $3600, your proxy will no longer be effective and you will no longer have the winning bid on this lot without once again logging in and bidding again or moving your attention to a second lot of interest.

4. At closing time of the sale the entire sale will extend bidding for 5 minute if a bid is placed on any lot in the sale. Any bid received after 6 PM will extend the sale by 5 minutes from the time of that bid. When no bidding occurs for 5 min the computer will declare the sale finished.

5. Within 24 hours of the sale close the Sale Manager, Bohrson Marketing Services will contact all winning bidders to arrange payment, transfer of pedigrees and delivery/Pick up of your lot.

What is racehorse style sale close? Racehorse style sale close is when the entire sale stays open in extended bidding. This type of sale allows you as the bidder to change to a different lot within the same sale if the bidding has gone in to extended bidding. how will extended bidding work? When we get to the close out end time the clock for close extends with any bid placed with less than 5 min on the clock. This type of extended bidding turns the end time to more of a soft time. Extended bidding allows bidders to compete in lots like a real auction and give all bidders the same time to make a decision.

Welcome from the stewart family We would like to send a very warm welcome to all our fellow cattlemen for our 1st Annual Bull Sale. We will be conducting our sale through DLMS Farmgate Timed Auctions and it will be fully online with racehorse style closing. We would like you all to know that the bulls are available to be viewed at anytime on the ranch and we would love to show you through the pen. We know that we are relatively new to the purebred scene but we are here for the long haul.

We strive for quality and with selectivity in mind we are determined to always bring our best to the Simmental breed. We know it takes years to build a reputation but you can have confidence that we stand behind our cattle 100%. Your success will be how we succeed.

Simmentals began here at the farm in the early 70’s. Grandpa imported Bluette from Switzerland and bred her to the famous Parisien bull. The result was the heifer Parisienette, which sold to Travers Smith at Agribition in 1973 for $43,000. Cattle took a break on the farm for almost 12 years, but I never lost my interest and decided to revive the cattle program; thus, begun the Greenvalley Ranch Purebred Simmentals herd. We have been fortunate enough to work with Scott Bohrson and his great crew getting our select herd base started. The Bohrson team helped us purchase females from sales all across Canada with upmost quality and longevity in mind. We have a recip program on our commercial cattle that we implant approximately 60 embryos a year from front end embryos

we have bought and flushed. Being able to AI to some of the new and top end sires available has also helped give us a running start on our replacement heifers. We have partnered on a few special females with Canadian Donors which are a part of our flush program as well as some of our own front end females in our herd that we are collecting eggs off of. The BMS Team approached us in 2018 asking if we would like to be apart of the Border City Simmental Female sale in Lloydminster. This was a tough decision for us as we are trying to build a strong and solid female base. However, when we saw the line up of consignors that were also invited to be a part of the sale it was humbling to get an opportunity with reputable breeders and of course we couldn’t say no.

It’s a busy life for us here on the farm with the addition of our now 6-month-old daughter, grain farming, and off farm enterprises, but know that any and all are always welcome to drop in or call. If you are unable to attend the sale and wish representation, please call myself or any of the Bohrson Marketing sales staff and we will gladly assist you. For the sight unseen purchases we guarantee satisfaction upon delivery.

Delivery

We will deliver the bulls to central points in Western Canada by April 10th. Transport of bulls not taken on scheduled delivery runs will be the buyers responsibility. For bulls headed to the Eastern provinces the transport cost will be the responsibility of the buyer.

USa delivery

Greenvalley Ranch will assist in arrangements for the cattle to be shipped to wherever you are in the US, at the buyers cost. All bulls sold to the USA will be charged an additional $250/bull to cover testing and border crossing costs. Payment for export cattle must be 50% prior to testing, and the balance will be due prior to shipping.

Payment Options

Bulls must be paid for in full before delivery. Please call Hugh prior to the sale if you would like to make alternate payment arrangements.

The right of property shall not pass until settlement is made in full.

Right To Semen

Greenvalley Ranch reserves the right to collect semen at their expense and the buyers convenience. Any semen collected will be for Greenvalley Ranch’s in herd use only, unless specified in the terms of sale of a lot.

Hoof Trimming

No feet have been trimmed on any sale bulls.

bull warranty

All bulls are guaranteed to breed, semen tested and vet inspected, and under a full herd health program. The Standard Canadian Simmental Association guarantee applies. We do not warranty against injury or illness after the sale, and encourage the use of insurance for that purpose. Greenvalley will have replacement bulls on hand to cover your breeding season should an issue arise with your bull. Under no circumstances shall Greenvalley be responsible for more than the purchase price of the sale animal.

Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold. In an effort to protect the buyers interests, we strongly recommend insuring the bulls. There are many insurance options available, including a 6 month plan to get them through their first breeding season.
