Last year’s sale was a resounding success and we are thankful to all that helped make that day happen. We couldn’t be more excited in our sale lineup this year. Right off the top of the bred heifer pen, the heifer calves, and we’ve dug deep into some awesome young cows that have donor candidate written all over them. Last year we wanted to show the true value a superior donor cow can have on a program. We wanted to show you the impact that the right cow family can have on a breeding program. We offered a number of daughters of Wilma and Ginny and sprinkled in a couple of Desirae females. This year we are continuing that theme and are highlighting the Desirae and Evetta donor females. When we were trying to decide how to showcase our breeding program, we felt this year we would offer the top cut of our heifer calf crop and half of our bred heifer pen so that breeders could see the type of production that our extensive embryo transplant program has produced over the last 10 years. It has once again been refreshing to work with Mike. He is the eternal optimist and brings great enthusiasm to the Charolais breed with his great breeding program. In my travels I’ve seen a lot of Symbol daughters in production and they are super producing, solid cows. We feel 62F will rank amongst the best. I first met Gene Foat at a bull sale in Innisfail, I was impressed with the quality of his bulls. When they announced their dispersal it was an easy decision to go pick up a couple cows.
