This sale is always a highly anticipated event each fall as the cattle, people and picturesque scenery are truly second to none. The Gagnon family are synonymous with quality seedstock in the industry and have again graciously opened their doors to an elite set of Eastern Breeders to join them for this exciting sale. On behalf of the Gagnons, the great group of consignors and all of us at BMS we wish to extend this out to you as your personal invitation to join us near Cheneville for the 2025 edition.
The Gagnon program has again dug in deep and are offering some of the most notable cow families to feature in their production sale with many exciting sires and service sires represented as well. The FGAF prefix is very well known in the industry and can be found in many top producing Bulls and Females across North America. Their sale offering is very deep and consistent with many similarly bred females that are easy doing, attractive and very maternal. These females flat out work and are annually some of the best investments folks make. The FGAF frozen section is always exciting and offers tonnes of unique and predictable stuff.

La famille de vaches Barbarella est sans aucun doute celle qui a véritablement fait connaître notre ferme il y a de celà plusieurs années. 146L a toujours été très appréciée de tous ceux qui l’ont vue dès son plus jeune âge. C’est une femelle solide, difficile à critiquer. Les lignées maternelles sont la force de la race Simmental et 146L en est un autre bel exemple. Elle est saillie à Seldom pour un vêlage facile.

The Barbarella cow family is without any doubt the one who really put our farm on the map many years ago. 146L was really appreciated by any who saw her since a young age. She is a strongly made female who is hard to fault. The maternal side of the Simmental cattle is the strength of the breed and 146L is another nice example. This big heifer will have lots of friend sale day. You can’t go wrong with a Raptor X Panther combination and you are sure of one think that she will have a dandy udder. We went back deep in our semen tank to find some Seldom semen that we think will add value to their calves. 147L got a really good full sister on the ground, no guess work here.

Une autre taure dont il est difficile de se séparer. Cette taure a vraiment explosée après le sevrage et a probablement été notre génisse préférée de tout l’hiver. Elle provient d’Electro, propriété de Robert Schroeder, le frère propre de Cheneville, acheté par Canadian Sire. Dommage que nous manquions de temps pour participer aux expositions car elle serait de l’alignement. Magnifique taure.

Another bred heifer that was hard to let go. This heifer really took off after weaning and was probably our favorite heifer all winter. She goes back to Electro, own by Robert Schroeder who is the full brother of Cheneville purchased by Canadian Sire. Too bad we don’t have enough time to show cattle anymore because she would be in the show string. Beautiful heifer here.

Il y a plusieurs années, nous avons acheté le troupeau de vaches des Lewis, en Ontario. La vache BEN 2W faisait partie de ce groupe et était saillie par Imax. Elle nous a donné FGAF 101B, qui a eu un impact considérable sur le troupeau et qui a donné naissance à des fils qui travaillent présentement chez Claude Lemay et Maska Simmentals. 006M sera assurément une vache très productive avec un pis parfait.

Many years ago we purchased the herd of cows of the Lewis in Ontario. The BEN 2W cow was in that group of cow and was bred to Imax. She gave us FGAF 101B who made a great impact in the herd and got sons working for Claude Lemay and Maska Simmentals. 006M will be a strong productive cow with a perfect udder.

003M vient de Lumberjack qui travaille chez Bristolview Farms. Nous avons toujours considéré que ce taureau faisait partie des meilleurs taureaux que nous ayons produits. Voilà pourquoi nous avons conservé quelques doses de sa semence à utiliser sur notre troupeau. Sa mère est une vache rouge unicolore et son père a été acheté des frères Stouts. Elle a une excellente sœur propre qui vous charmera aussi. Elle est saillie du légendaire taureau Barbossa.

We always think he was one of the good bulls we made so we kept some in herd use semen. 003M comes a solid red full fleckvieh cow that the sire was purchased from the Stouts brothers. She has a really good full sister on the ground that makes your heart pumping from the good reasons. Bred to the legendary Barbossa bull.

Nous avons toujours admiré la profondeur et la structure osseuse de 063M. Ses veaux seront très faciles à commercialiser.

Cette solide noir a été la taure la plus pesante lors du sevrage de notre groupe de génisses l’année dernière. Dès son plus jeune âge, nous avions remarqué que 50L deviendrait une femelle spéciale ! Elle provient de notre Rod Dinamic Red 71J, un bull qui a été vendu dans notre vente de bulls Rod & Stars et nous avions garder quelques doses de lui pour nous. Nous aimons énormément ce que 71J donne comme veaux, autant les génisses que les mâles. Si vous regardez attentivement le pedigree de Rod 71j, vous allez trouver Ms Tracker 49X, une vache qui a vendu des embryons qui ont atteint plus de 2000 $. Si vous regardez pour une taure noir, Rod 50L sera assurément sur votre liste ! En plus, elle est très docile et laisse voir un solide pie avec des trayons vraiment bien placés. But since we want to show that our Red and Black division is strong, we thought it would be a good idea to offer her to you! This solid black calf was the heaviest weaning heifer in our group of heifers last year. From a young age, we knew 50L would be a special female! She comes from our Rod Dynamic Red 71J, a bull who was sold at our Rod & Stars bull sale, and we kept a few of his calves for ourselves. We really like the calves 71J produces, both heifers and bulls. If you look closely at Rod 71j’s pedigree, you’ll find Ms. Tracker 49X, a cow who has sold embryos that have reached over $2,000. If you’re looking for a black heifer, Rod 50L will definitely be on your list! In addition, she is very docile and displays a solid piebald with very wellplaced teats. Sa mère est une vache qui veillie super bien et travaille vraiment bien pour nous. Cette année, elle nous a donné une superbe génisse foncée. Également, un fils d’elle a été acheté par Glenwood Meadows il y a quelques années lors de notre vente de Bull.

Celle-ci provient du flush que Antoine Bourgeois (Ferme Hema) a acheté que nous avions offert lors de notre vente de Bull Rod & Stars. Suite au flush de Pol Rumy, nous l’avons fait saillir avec notre nouveau bull, Bee Boom qui avait fait beaucoup parler lorsque nous l’avions acheté ! Alors, 23M est une jumelle modérée naturelle que Rumy a donnée de cette saillie. Rouge foncé comme ses parents, celle-ci vous attirera avec son type, son corps profond avec une superbe capacitée et le tout avec 4 super pieds noirs foncés ! Here are two direct daughters of the famous Pol Rumy 9E. Our first embryo donor, the cow that put us on the map! First, we present 17M. This one comes from the flush that Antoine Bourgeois (Ferme Hema) bought that we offered at our Rod & Stars Bull sale. The famous Anchor D Viper was chosen by Antoine as a candidate for the flush. Bingo! Rumy responded wonderfully to the flush, so as agreed, we had the extra embryos that we implanted. In the end, two solid heifers! We kept the other one in our herd and she will make a great cow. Rod 17M is extremely deep, lots of ribs on her with a good belly. Nous avons plusieurs filles de lui qui travaillent pour nous dans le troupeau et honnêtement elles cochent toutes les cases de ce qu’une vache doit être pour nous. L’année dernière, nous avions offert une fille de Campfire et elle a obtenu le prix le plus élevé de notre groupe et fut achetée par Jeff Knox en Australie ! If we had received the DNA test results sooner, we most likely would have kept it to ourselves! Why? Quite simply, we love Campfire’s daughters. We have several of his daughters working for us in the herd, and honestly, they check all the boxes for what a cow should be for us. Last year, we offered a Campfire daughter, and she fetched the highest price in our group and was purchased by Jeff Knox in Australia! Kirk et son équipe l’ont amené elle et son jeune taureau à des expositions où ils ont remporté quelques championnats. Son jeune taureau a même été vendu le double du prix que sa mère avait été vendue lorsqu’elle était taure. L’automne dernier, lors de la vente Solution Sale, Donavandale a fait l’acquisition de sa demi-sœur maternelle. Je crois que Miracle deviendra une excellente femelle autour de laquelle bâtir une bonne famille de vaches. Je suis très fier de cette taure et je devrais sans doute la garder.

Last fall in the Solution Sale, Donovandale purchased a half sister to her (same dam). I think Miracle will be a great female to build a cow family around. This fall born heifer will be 2 yrs old at sale time giving her a little extra age and growth. She now shows a lot of extra muscle expression getting her thickness from Canelo, a full brother to Spartacus. She is solid coloured from head to tail. No white anywhere on that body only the bottom of legs which is rare for a FF, for those looking to darken up those hides. She is more of a Bourbon brown than Cherry red. 15L is the first solid coloured FF I have raised.I sold her mother as a bred many years ago but was lucky enough to buy her back when Randy Wheeler offered her up during Covid. Mostly Foolin 110M comes to you out of one of our favourite cow families, the Fools, going back to the great herd of Todd Simmentals. Born at the end of February this heifer held her own against the earlier calves and continues to do so in the less than ideal pasture conditions we’ve been dealt in the current drought. Coming from a predominately black family this heifer and her Dam decided to be different and give us a shot of red into the family tree.
