The RPCC crew has once again assembled an impressive offering of cattle from their program along with close friends, that have top-quality in mind to represent their respected programs. This offering of black & red genetics is impressive to say the least, you will have to travel many miles to find a better offering than the Fall Gala has assembled to be offered by auction on October 14. The Crawford family is synonymous with winning in the show ring and most importantly producing cattle that will work in every environment. They have dug very deep and are simply offering their very best out of their progressive program. It may just be the strongest group of open heifers that RPCC has produced and they possess fresh and exciting pedigrees with attractive and desired phenotypes. The breds are always deep in quality and they have saved a few features from their 2017 calf crop to highlight the 2018 sale. They are carrying the service of up and coming sires in the breed that will allow the successful buyers to have a strong ROI with their first calf. The Crawford family has wisely reached out to many of their closest friends and leading Simmental enthusiasts to consign to the sale and they have brought a very strong set. The same quality and depth in genetics runs deep into these cattle and embryos on offer and are represented by a dozen progressive programs that are committed to selling their very best. Needless to say we are incredibly proud of these three females. As you can see this genetic combo works!! This cow family contains generations of top brood cows that look good while doing it. This panda eyed cutie has been admired since birth for her “Flashy” appearance! Lot 1A is also moderate, thick, and huge middled. Her dam is one of Reed’s favorite red cows, not only does she produce good ones like lot 6 from last year’s sale, she looks darn good to boot!

Here is a red heifer that will find friends on sale day. This will be the first Boundary Astute calf to sell in Ontario, a sire we sampled and all the calves are keepers. Our search for a red cow to compliment our retirement herd of 10 cows led us to the simmsational sale and X-T Carmine 100C came to Ripley and has produced as her pedigree indicated. We have 100C’s yearling heifer in our herd and she is bred back the same way so we feel this heifer should highlight our offering. Her E.P.D.’s are at the top end and this calf is engineered to be a producer. Our grandson will be showing her in a couple of pee wee shows and she will be entered in RAWF for new owner.

Homo polled. The yearling sale heifers came home August 2nd and pictured August 19th and are in sale condition. Check the length of body, depth of rib and shear body mass & her EPD’s. This March calf is out of one of Pat’s favourite cows that we have ever owned. Her dam was purchased out of the Agribition sale in 2015 as a fancy show heifer from the Sunny Valley herd. Extra thick, deep ribbed, with an attractive front 1/3 she is the kind of female that will make an excellent show prospect and then go on to become a front pasture kind of cow.
