simmental black angus
welcome bohrson marketing services
It’s great to be back north east of Lloydminster for this fourth edition of The Evolution! In its short history this sale has become a must attend event of the fall for Angus and Simmental enthusiasts or those that simply love great cattle and top shelf hospitality. Greenwood and Black Gold are known as leaders in the industry with cattle that go out and work, strong bull sales with repeat customers, and their incredible successes in the show ring. If you are new to The Evolution or these programs, we can guarantee that you are in the right place for exceptional seedstock.
Every Evolution has been loaded for bear and this year is no different. It is no exaggeration to say that these pages represent multiple future donor females in both breeds, guaranteed bull makers, long term production pieces, and if you are into the show ring, you are in the right place to source those genetics from these programs who know how to capture banners. Study the cow families as both Black Gold and Greenwood have invested heavily and built around those females that we all recognize and idolize. To name a few, the Hayleigh, Sammie, Soda Pop, Darlin, Beauty, Tibbie, Echo, Lucy, and Envious Blackbirds have built these programs and are available to you in The Evolution - incredible opportunities! The catalog lots start with the fullblood Simmental females that are always a sale highlight and impressive group both physically and genetically.
We encourage you to study these pages intensely, research the pedigrees and past successes, and plan an enjoyable trip to join us at The Evolution Volume 4. When you see this caliber of cattle gathered together, presented at a high level by talented people, and surrounded by a large crowd of your cattle industry cohorts, we guarantee it is well worth the trip. The Payne and Noble families do a great job with their programs, but also in hosting people and the fellowship at The Evolution is always priceless. Be sure to contact anyone at the Payne or Noble families to discuss the offering and the best fit for your program. If any of us at Bohrson Marketing can assist with your selections, please get in contact and we will go through the offering with you in detail. We look forward to visiting with you about The Evolution!
Best Regards,
The Bohrson Marketing Team
blackgold simmental greenwood cattle Welcome FROM +
The 2024 summer is over, and the fast-paced fall harvest is upon us, which means we are gearing up for the 4th Edition of The Evolution Sale. First of all, thank you to everyone who has bought, bid, and attended our sale over the past 3 years.
We feel incredibly fortunate to raise cattle we’re passionate about and to collaborate with producers like you who share the same values. Last year’s crowd and atmosphere were fantastic, and we’re excited to reconnect with everyone on October 10th.
This year’s sale offering is slightly larger, but the quality is stronger than ever. From the start of this sale four years ago, our focus has been to present heifer calves and bred heifers from the top of our pens, without exception. We remain committed to that philosophy—breeding and selling only our very best. The cattle on offer from both Black Gold and Greenwood are a product of our extensive AI and embryo programs, and we promise they represent the finest genetics from each operation.
We implant large groups of embryos from the highest-quality donors we can breed or source. You can trust that the cows behind these females are the kind you’ll be proud to have in your pastures and excited to see every day. The bred heifer offering comes from the heart of our programs, with the majority of the females having early January services, resulting in a larger time interval from calving to breeding and ensuring their calves next fall will have a bit more age and development. This will be the first year we have bred heifers mated with sexed female Battle Cry and most of the other fullbloods are safe to our homo polled calving herd sire, Kilipso. The Battle Cry progeny are proven and highly sought after. Kilipso will have a very solid group of polled sons selling in our 2025 bull sale.
The purebred females are mated to some of our go to calving ease options such as, Mountain View, Approval 51H, Hannibal, and Holyfield. There are a few females mated to the rookie calving ease bull WBC Ease 6L, who created some buzz this past spring.
In the Angus division, we are proud to feature the 2023 Canadian Western Agribition Champion, Greenwood Four Mile 47J as the service sire for many of the bred females. Additionally, three direct daughters of Four Mile will be offered. You’ll also notice an
exciting new bull we’ve sampled with great success: TOPP Standout 1072. His exclusive service will be available, along with a feature heifer calf in Lot 70.
The heifer calf division is exceptional in quality, and we confidently believe this is the strongest group of heifers we’ve offered to date. Additionally, all the heifer calves in the sale are show broke. The Simmental division will feature a set of LFE Cabaret daughters from the 52J Soda female that was a past Evolution high seller, a consistent group of daughters off the triple crown winning Hayleigh 15G, and a pair of unique Mountain View flush sisters out of the Supreme Champion Darlin’ 4H. Every heifer in the sale stems from a current donor cow in our program, further emphasizing our desire to bring you our very best. We are very excited to be selling an Approval 51H daughter that we plan on campaigning this fall alongside her dam, Hayleigh 213K.
The Angus heifer calves in the sale will be the largest group we’ve ever offered to date. We truly believe there’s something for everyone in this lineup. Many of these calves are highend show prospects that could be competitive at any level, and we also have excellent options for first-time showmen. Beyond their show potential, these calves are backed by functional, pedigree rich cows, making them safe bets to develop into exceptional females. We believe many of these heifer calves have the potential to compete in the fall show run, and several are already entered in various shows throughout the season. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to anyone at Black Gold or Greenwood for details on which heifers are entered and their show potential. We strongly encourage anyone interested to contact any of the listed representatives with questions. Better yet, feel free to visit and tour the cattle at either Black Gold or Greenwood anytime before October 10. We’re only 20 minutes apart!
We’re also excited to be working with the Bohrson Marketing team and our valued sales staff. Their professional expertise serves as our eyes at many sales we can’t attend, and we confidently bid based on their recommendations. They truly understand and appreciate good cattle, we love working with these guys!! We look forward to visiting with you and hope to see you on October 10th for our steak supper and fall social!
SIBELLE SUGAR RAY 25F
LAKEVIEW MS WRANG 62B FF
LOTS 1-6: All Non-Diluter. An extremely exciting way to kick off the 2024 edition of the Evolution. Never before have we offered so many ET sisters in our fullblood program, but we wanted to prove the potency and quality of one our favorite donors, IPU 41H. 41H is owned with our good friend Elliot Lindgren and was purchased out of the famed Labatte program. She proved to us early her quality when her first calf born ended up being our high selling bull in our 2023 bull sale, selling to Westgold Farms for $72 000. Since then, he has been used in our AI and ET program and we anxiously await a group of calves born off him in 2025. This past spring we sold another three sons off 41H, who were all features in our 2023 offering. The mating to Sugar Ray was a no brainer to us, as Sugar Ray has proved to be one of the elite bulls in the industry, and is the sire of the $355 000 Rumble. These six sisters differ in terms of colour, shape, and performance, but they are consistent with quality. They appear to display 41H’s udder quality, foot shape, fleshing ability, and attractive sound build. Whether they are bred to the tried and tested Battle Cry, or our new and exciting homo polled Kilipso, we feel their breeding potential is as good as any. Please feel free to reach out with questions about the sisters, or come see them for yourself. We are truly excited to showcase the first daughters to ever sell off 41H.

EMBRYOs: BLL Atomic 318L x IPU 62B Ms French Attack 41H
This past spring we were on the hunt for a new and exciting fullblood bull, and after laying eyes on the polled BLL Atomic, we knew he was a must own bull for us and partner Elliot Lindgren. His dark red colour, awesome foot, sound structure, and powerful body shape was intriguing to say the least. He will sire the largest calf crop we have ever had born at our place in 2025, and we couldn’t be more excited. We kept his semen off the market for 2024, aside from a semen interest selling to our fellow breeders Philippe and Sebastien out in Quebec. We will have a few calves coming off this mating next winter, and cannot wait to see what comes off what we feel could be one of the best fullblood matings we have made yet.
Non-Diluter. After the success we had with IPU 41H, it only made sense to go back to Labatte’s to find another fullblood female. 175J is another very high quality female to come out of their program, and is a standout in our herd. One of the biggest bodied, stoutest made females we own with a great udder. Her body, rib, and fleshing ability was definitely passed down into 39L. She has been a tank her whole life and one that we couldn’t wait to feature in the Evolution. With bulls like NAC Battle Cry 4F, Westgold Standout 42Z, and Sunny Valley Canon 86E in her pedigree, we feel a lot of the guesswork is taken out. If 39L breeds anything like her dam, the polled calf inside of her could very well be enough to put the “donor” label on 39L come next spring.
Non-Diluter. Another Battle Cry daughter who is a heifer’s first calf, similar to 39L. The Battle Cry x Stuey combination has been done time and time again in our program, and that will continue in the future. They truly are two of the very best bulls that we have had the privilege of owning, and may be the best that we will ever own. 57L to us is about as ideal as they come in terms of dark red colour and pigment. She goes back to one of our old donor cows, Salmon Arm Alpen, who you could’ve painted red or black and she still would’ve been one of our favorites.
Non-Diluter. Battle Cry x Reputation combination here that sure worked. 140L is a long bodied, smooth made female with a big hip and great teet size and placement. Another heifer’s first calf, 170J is a past Evolution high seller who is a high quality cow with a temperament that suggests she’s more of a pet. She weaned one of our heaviest fullblood bulls this fall and he is a standout in the pen. A polled female bred to Kilipso, I would be excited about the chance of a homo polled calf inside of 140L, who could be the ticket to a quick ROI.

NAC BATTLE CRY 4F
NGDB HONEY BEE 333A
Non-Diluter. 153L is one that’s easy to like and looks to be a spitting image of her dam. 333A is one of our oldest producing cows and continues to do a whale of a job. A moderate framed, dark red female who has great teet spread and placement. She has daughters working for Hoegl Livestock and Grassy Flats Ranch, and has put three bulls through our bull sale. Her 2019 model selling to Hoegls was a homo polled feature selling in the Border City sale, and one that entered their ET program due to her awesome udder and attractive look.

NAC BATTLE CRY 4F
PHS AMAZING JANE 232A SIRE DAM
BEE BATTLE CRY 282B MI MS DALLAS 39D
DOUBLE BAR D ROLEX 267X VIRGINIAS JANE WEST
Non-Diluter. A deep bodied, big ribbed, smooth made Battle Cry daughter who steps down on a great foot. 232A is another 2013 model cow who is still producing and looks good doing it. Her foot quality is superior and we wish we could put her udder on every cow we own. 164L carries an early service to the homo polled Jesse James bull, who calved successfully on heifer’s for us in 2024 and we are impressed with the calves performance at weaning.
Non-Diluter. A definite feature in this year’s offering and a favorite among many. This isn’t shocking as we have started two of the four Evolution sales with daughters of 23Z, where they ended up $22 000 and $50 000 high sellers. 23Z is due to calve again in 2025 at the age of thirteen, and remains youthful through her productive years. 127L is a dark red, awesome haired, performance driven female with lots of muscle and looks to be setting down a great udder. She is good footed with a very quiet temperament, and is one that’s going to be hard to let go of on sale day. These two daughters could very well be some of the last direct Stuey daughters that we will ever sell, and we think 127L should be in the discussion if you’re looking for a powerful fleckvieh donor female.
BLCC MR ADONIS 30X
SEVEN MISS 70S NAC BATTLE CRY 4F BLACK GOLD MISS SUSIE 133G
Non-Diluter. Another direct Stuey daughter off a first calving Battle Cry female. 123L is long spined and sound structured with a good colour pattern. Her pedigree traces back to Double Bar D United, who left us some of our very best daughters and production females. Our Kilipso calves born in 2024 consistently weaned off at over 800 lbs, and we are beyond impressed with their ability to come small and grow rapidly. We have big plans for Kilipso in our heifer pen for years to come, and are excited to have his service on several of our sale females.

BRYCK
GOLD MS KRISTIN 73E
KEET’S DRIVEN 32D LONE STONE MS TOMMY 68D
Non-Diluter, 72L is our only homo polled fullblood female in the offering, and one that offers extra growth and length of body. She’s dark red, high performing, and sound structured. In our 2023 bull sale, a maternal brother to 72L sold as a feature and one of our heaviest bulls. With no relation to Battle Cry, she’s bred early to the proven stud whose semen averaged over $400/dose this past breeding season.
Non-Diluter. An extremely dark red, attractive, sound structured female who offers extra growth in a polled package. Reputation bred very well here, but the females he left behind might be one of his best attributes. They are superior in terms of udder quality and fleshing ability, and we look forward to building around his kind. 216L is one of the younger females on offer but one that definitely stands out. Her breeding to sexed female Battle Cry should offer extra excitement.
Diluter. A favorite of many is this big bodied, attractive Reputation daughter. In 2022, a full sister to 130L sold for $30 000 to Bouchard Livestock and Jeff Knox, and in last year’s Evolution Starwest Farms selected a maternal sister for $17 000. 130L is moderate framed but bold in her rib shape, looks near perfect in her udder design, and is sound and smooth on the move. The calf she is carrying will carry the great Reputation x Battle Cry combination; those are some of our favorite young cows and that pedigree will be seen throughout our sales for years to come.
Sammie
BLACK GOLD Ms Sammie
LOTS 19-20: In 2022 we stepped out of our comfort zone and acquired forty embryos off the great Sammie donor owned by Canadian Donors. Their donor arsenal is more than impressive, but Sammie ranks amongst the top and is often brought up in conversation with the Bohrson crew. It would be easy to go on and on about Sammie’s accomplishments and high sellers throughout the years, but I’m afraid the printer might run out of ink before we get to the end of that list. These two Stratton daughters have always been easy favorites amongst the offering for their hip and top shape, attractive look, great udder design, and near perfect feet. We always said when we invested into Sammie, our plan was to retain all the daughters and shape our red program around her. We are fortunate enough to have five daughters due here this coming winter, so we thought we could let two of them go. The services to WFL Mountain View (sexed female) and the new red baldy WBC Ease offer their own excitement. We invite you to come pick a favorite for yourself, but if your opinion is similar to ours, you may just be tempted to take them both home.
No question one of the deepest ribbed, easiest doing, boldest bodied females in the offering. This isn’t a surprise as 115L is a spitting image of her powerful dam. We haven’t sold too many daughters off Reddington, but after calving out his first daughters in 2024, we may be selling even less as we would take several just like them. Reddington seems to be an udder improver here and excels in terms of foot quality. We believe these traits are easily seen on 115L. 44G is a performance driven, huge bodied female whose 2024 bull calf is currently amongst the top of our red pen. We specifically made sexed female semen on Mountain View to breed potential sale heifers with, and are sure excited to offer females of 115L’s quality carrying this exciting service.
We honestly talked about not selling 109L early on this spring as we didn’t know how we would keep her from getting too much condition on her. Her whole life she has been extremely easy fleshing and always a standout. This cow family is known for making the moderate, big bodied kind that can thrive on next to no resources. 109L is a blood red female who looks to be setting down a very good udder. The Mountain View offspring have surpassed every expectation and then some, and I think we have flushed every red or black donor to him by now. Another service to the new baldy “Ease”, a white faced calf inside of this one would sure have us excited.
While touring with a friend this summer, we drove past 54L and he said “let me guess, another Mountain View?” His kind aren’t hard to pick out; we have never used a red bull that throws as much dark red colour and consistent quality as him. A ¾ sibling to 54L was our high selling female this past spring selling to Martin Cattle Services and Jace Cattle. 54L is another performance driven female with plenty of muscle. Although she got bred naturally, I don’t think her service is any less exciting. Approval 51H has calved awesome here for a couple years, and sired a very neat heifer calf selling in this sale that will be campaigned alongside her dam this fall.
We round out our red section with a long bodied, powerful female who again looks to be setting down a typical Mountain View udder. The “Destiny” cow family has put several power bulls through our bull sale throughout the years and we are happy to have several milking carrying that name. Look for 8L to be the solid, productive kind, who always carries the service to the unique Slider son, WBC Ease.
141L has been on our radar for quite some time and one we are quite high on. We love her added power, performance, and muscle, while remaining attractive and sound on the move. 70J is similar in her type and kind being a larger framed female with a good udder and awesome feet. Her dam, 481A, is coming 12 years old and due back to calve in January 2025. Although 141L offers added visual power, she still ranks in the top 4% for CE and 20% for BW. 141L is bred up early to the calving ease sensation, Walk This Way. He has calved great here for a few years and will be a bull we continue to use when AI’ing heifers. A definite feature in our black division and a standout in the pen, 141L should be easy to find sale day.
I think I’ve stated this in the past, but it only seems fitting to sell a direct daughter off the cow that started it all for us on the red and black side. It’s hard to put into words what Soda Pop 425B has done for our program, and truly will be a female that is hard to replicate. We aren’t sure how many direct 425B daughters we will sell in the future, as Soda now calls Weppler Cattle Company in Ontario home and we couldn’t be happier for our friends Braeden and Ally. 250L is a long spined, smooth made female with a great look. She still replicates Soda’s three dimensional view from behind and looks to be setting down a great udder. She is bred to a solid red Hannibal x Sammie son that we retained for use in our heifer pen, who ranks in the top 1% for CE, and 2% for WW and YW. He was sampled in our heifer pen this past spring and we are excited to see the results
BLACK GOLD Ms Cream Soda 193L
No question one of the most feminine, good looking females in the offering is this Counterime daughter. So refined in the shape of her neck and attractive from her shoulders forward. From there back, she’s maternal in the sweep to her lower rib and looks to have the right kind of teat placement. We are sure excited to calve these Countertime daughters; we love their foot shape and overall build. 193L is a descendant of the great Cream Soda, and her dam has one of our top heifer calves born in 2024. Holyfield was sampled in our heifer pen last spring, and currently has one of our top calving ease prospects in the bull who started life out at 74 lbs.
Another moderate framed, long spined, big bodied female with a nice look up front. 67L goes back to 48B, who has been one of our most productive black females with six sons selling through our bull sale over the years. Holyfield sired our $210 000 high seller in our past bull sale, but what we are really excited for is to calve out his first set of daughters. He is the longest bodied, smoothest, best footed black bull that we have ever owned. 67L’s early service to the deceased Hannibal may just result in a white faced ROI.
A little bit of extra punch and power is found in this Holyfield daughter. Deep ribbed, easy doing, and cowwy describes 179L while remaining good in her teet size and placement. Willow is a huge bodied, powerful brood cow who was purchased out of Friday Night Lights from the Barlee program, and was a past show heifer for Finn and Izzy Pratte. She raised a $25 000 high selling bull for us in 2023. Again an early service to the deceased Hannibal should make for an exciting calf.

Another Holyfield daughter with extra length of body and frame. We love this baldy from her shoulders forward, but also how she transitions back into a bold rib shape and deep center body. She probably offers as much teet spread as any of the females in the offering. The Ava cow family has been extremely consistent for us in terms of foot quality, femininity, all while having more than enough shear power. A full sister to 199H was a high seller for us in the Evolution Vol II selling to Lewis Farms and Wallgren Farms.
A moderate framed, attractive blazed face Holyfield daughter with a powerful rib shape. 43L goes back to an awesome ¾ blood cow we purchased from Hudson Pines alongside Bohrson and Rust. She’s moderate in frame but huge in her body shape with a good udder, the kind we have come to expect when crossing some of the best simmental and angus genetics. She’s AI’d to the deceased Black Rebel that worked so well for us for a lot of years in the heifer pen.
Ms Wonder
We round out the bred heifer offering with a daughter of the 2022 Simmental Show Bull of the Year. Coliseum progeny have been consistent with foot quality, look, and fleshing ability, similar to 97L. A full sister to 97L sold in last year’s sale to 7 Lazy T Cattle Company. 97L’s maternal sister is also the dam of Black Gold Approval 51H, our walking calving ease red bull. This gives 97L two shots of our 532C donor that our red program has been built around for the last few years.
There’s no better way to lead the Angus Breds in the catalog than with a Beauty. She is a standout both by pedigree and visually, with a design and build we truly admire. Her developing udder is perfect, and she’s angular and athletic. Her dam is a significant donor for us, and her full sister is our favorite 2-year-old cow, which led us to flush her this spring. Game Night is on the rise proving himself as one of the most potent Natural Law sons around. 62L is a very
cow in the
This heifer is built very much like her dam, who is also featured in the sale. She is moderate and attractive, with an ideal udder developing and great feet. She boasts a nice pedigree and solid numbers on paper. Bred early to Four Mile, 57L looks to be a quick return on investment. This one is without a doubt better in person than her picture.
This massive-built creature is stout, dense, and extremely easy-doing, with an attractive phenotype that is hard to miss. Her dam is a powerhouse with an exceptional udder. Bred early to TOPP Standout, 5L offers a rare opportunity to secure one of the few Standout calves expected to be born in Canada in 2025. We’re thrilled with our Standout calves to date. If you like overflowing power and cattle with more frame then most, take a close look here.
This exceptional heifer is distinguished by her Supreme Champion dam and Grand dam, recognized as one of the most impressive pairs in recent memory. 19L will be among the first Glacier daughters to calve in Canada. She has the right pieces to be a future donor. With an impressive build, being stout-made, huge bodied, and correct in her structure. Her resulting Four Mile calf could be a winning ticket. She comes with strong numbers on paper. 19L is a heifer we’re excited to watch as she develops in the future and one we are confident will be a massive asset to their new owner. Offered with Black Gold Simmentals and Twin Spring Farms
This heifer is a perfect example of a High Class daughter. She is a powerhouse with style, massive-bodied, and stout. Her dam is a top-notch Renovation cow with a perfect udder, hailing from the renowned Forever Lady cow family that led the Johnson Livestock dispersal. 65L combines impressive genetics with a powerful, stylish build. This one will be easily found on sale day and the calf she is carrying has potential to be a future sale topper.
This bigger framed heifer has more scale than her pedigree would imply, offering limitless mating potential in the future. She is long and attractive, with a striking presence. Her Grand dam was a stunning cow in the Brooking program, known for producing top-notch bull calves. 69L combines impressive size and phenotype with a proven pedigree, making her a valuable breeding piece.
A fan favorite both on the farm and with visitors, 70L comes with a striking presence, overwhelming body length and a perfect head and ear set. She is big-bodied and commands attention. Her maternal sisters have proven to be potent producers, with one excelling for Irvineside and IRCC, and another sold in the second Evolution sale to Perrot Cattle Co. Her dam is a direct daughter of one of Hamilton Farms’ favourite donors in 101Z. 70L offers the same potential as her sisters and dam. Offered with 3G Cattle Ventures.
We love looking at 78L. She’s incredibly cool-made, sound in her design, and strong in her back leg. She is bold through her center body and starting to really hair up into the fall. With her quiet temperament and big fluffy ears, she’s broke to lead and has been on our radar for the fall show string. Her dam is a big-bodied, ideal-looking cow, and her granddam is the matriarch 28Z whose daughters we’ve kept mostly exclusive to our program. The early service to TOPP Standout adds even more excitement to her future.
Initially, this heifer was never intended to be offered for sale but Jaxon loves to sell our favorites. We love the power and foot quality that the Bang On daughters bring, and 45L is no exception. She’s a power cow in the making, one we confidently believe will become a herd bull factory. Her dam was our lead-off lot in the first Evolution sale to Blair.Ag and Canadian Donors for $25,000 for 2/3 interest. Overflowing with power and substance, 45L is an exciting prospect, and the cross with Reverence should be very rewarding.
This heifer is long, stout, packed with red meat and supported by an exceptional set of feet. We are especially fond of her dam, 26E who has made some high quality bulls. Be sure to check out her maternal sister; 14M, also featured in the catalog. 3L has a special service to TOPP Standout, her first calf could easily pay for your investment.
This heifer showcases a massive center body and explosive rib shape, all while maintaining a feminine head and neck. A maternal sister sold in last year’s sale to Packett Bros, where she is held in high regard and has been successfully flushed. 28L’s dam features a picture-perfect udder and ideal fertility. Get in early on a milking Four Mile daughter. Whichever service she calves to should make for an exciting calf.
47L is attractive and clean in her lines, with extra bone and correct skeletal angles. She’s sound, big-bodied, and hairy. Her maternal brother’s and sister’s have been sale highlights, making her dam, 424B, our second highest-earning cow, generating over $300,000. One maternal sister led off last year’s sale, selling for $30,000 to Heathcote Angus Ranch, while another was the Grand Champion Angus Female at every show she attended, including CWA 2021. The service to Standout should be an ideal match, further enhancing 47L’s exciting potential. Awesome cow family here that we are confidently building around.

This heifer features a long, sleek front that transitions smoothly into a robust middle third. She comes with a silhouette you’d need a stencil to replicate. She has a stout hip and exceptional feet and legs. Her Grand dam is an old favorite in the herd for having perfect feet and an ideal udder throughout her entire life. 63L combines style, structure, and proven genetics yet she’s got a neat pedigree twist.

Southern Charm daughters carry the traditional Angus stamp and maternal look that the breed is known for. She is on track to become a moderate, soundly designed cow with the potential for a perfect udder, much like her dam. Her granddam is the legendary 27D, a cow we’ve become very fond of for her consistent production. A great pedigree here from our perspective and the Four Mile service will enhance it again.

This heifer is super stout, with an attractive design and a perfect Angus head that highlights her maternal qualities. She is supported by a gorgeous dam and is bred to our new calving ease sire, jointly owned with Brooking Angus and featuring an outcross pedigree. 61L combines an impressive build with a unique genetic blend and an exciting option for our later calving friends.
LOTS 49-53: We are ecstatic to once again feature a flush of ET Hayleigh daughters at the Evolution. As we discussed mating decisions on Hayleigh and were consistently trying new things, we knew we had to mate her back to Quantum Leap and make full sisters to our $73 000 and $35 000 high sellers in the Evolution Vol II selling to KT Ranches, Double Bar D Farms, and Horner Cattle. Although our matings differ on Hayleigh, the quality stays the same and she truly is wildly consistent. Our first three Hayleigh sons ran through the ring this past spring, averaging just shy of $32 000. These four full sisters are peas in a pod and so challenging to rank. We love working on them and studying them in the pen. They’re sound structured, good looking cattle who excel in terms of performance, body shape, and still have a powerful muscle pattern. Although the show ring is where this mating initially found fame, production is no different as KT Ranches will be selling an elite group of five sisters mothered by their Quantum Leap x Hayleigh Donor in her first year of production. Please feel free to reach out and contact us about these sisters and we can try and talk about their differences. Better yet, feel free to stop in at the farm or at Olds Fall Classic and view them for yourself.
Here’s the black baldy powerhouse that has stood out her entire life and been a favorite among pasture tours all spring and summer. A new mating for us, 96M is sired by the blazed face US phenom Next Level. 96M is a tank from the tip of her nose to the tip of her tail. She pounds the ground with so much flex and reach on a big set of feet and legs, and carries her width all the way up into her top and hip shape. On top of this, she is a pet in the pen with an awesome temperament. Hayleigh daughters have averaged $41 000 to date and in her first year of production, her daughters captured a National Champion title south of the border, and a First Lady Classic Supreme Champion title at Agribition. Here’s a unique baldy with a perfect colour pattern, great build, and overwhelming body shape that suggests she will be equally as fun on the halter and in production.
LOTS 54-56: Here comes something fresh and new for us at Black Gold and Lindgren Simmentals. These are the first three daughters to ever sell off the $160 000 LFE Cabaret 847J, and the $32 000 Ms Soda 52J who sold in the Evolution Vol II. Cabaret offspring have surpassed every expectation with flying colours. They’re our biggest, best, and most consistent sire group we have in our black program. Our current plan is to show two Cabaret sons this fall, with one of them being a full brother to these three beauties who weaned off at 1000 lbs at the end of August. 4M is a moderate framed, awesome haired, huge bodied baldy female with a great temperament that has always been a standout. 8M offers extra growth, performance, and muscle and is no doubt a brood cow in the making. 20M is a favorite through the barn everyday and we love how she combines an overwhelming depth of rib, body mass, and muscle pattern while remaining very refined and feminine through her head and neck with a perfect blaze. All three of these sisters step down on a large, very square foot and have great hair coats. We talked a lot around here about possibly showing both a two year old and mature pair this year, and the mature pair would’ve been 52J. She is a huge bodied, very easy doing female with a great udder. After her successful flush to Cabaret at the end of March 2023, she settled the next cycle and had her natural calf just thirteen days after these ET calves were all born. An exciting opportunity to combine elite cow families like Cream Soda, Sage, Flirt, and the Kat family from Lewis Farms.

Another white faced Next Level daughter that grabs your attention. We love her head and skull shape and how attractive she is with an ideal colour pattern. She replicates her dams “cowwy” rib shape, ideal foot structure, and teet design. 264K is a past Friday Night Lights high seller that we purchased alongside Twin Springs Farm. Braydon Thompson toured Ranciers that summer, and after seeing 264K and her dam he knew that she was a must own female. 264K has two replacements in our pen that are amongst the top, and two unique baldy Hannibal sons in our bull pen. We look forward to continuing to use her heavy in our ET program, to produce more cattle like 89M and her siblings.

WFL MOUNTAIN VIEW 4J BLACK
MS SODA POP 129J
A royally bred, dark red heifer here that we like quite a bit. I’ve stated before how we have flushed every donor we own, red or black, to Mountain View and we were always excited to mate 129J that way. 129J is a past Evolution feature selling to the Eaton family of Bar SK Cattle. Kehler showed her with a lot of success and she was a multiple time overall and division champion or reserve. She’s turned into the front pasture kind and has a very impressive Holyfield son in our bull pen. 182M is an easy doing, big bodied one with a very fluid and sound structure. Another one that would be fun to hang a halter on and then have in your front pasture when her career is over.

MISS HOYA HAYLEIGH
Ever since we purchased Hayleigh we have wanted to try and mate her to some red bulls to try and bring in a new cow family to our red program. 171M is a prime example of that and a pretty exciting individual. The youngest calf in the offering, she’s a super feminine, long spined, good haired female who has an awesome build. She has gotten better everyday and we think her best days are still ahead of her. Her dam is one of our favorite milking Hayleigh daughters, and arguably one of our favorite cows that we have ever got ready for show. She is great haired, very soft middled, long and level through her spine and hip, and has a near perfect udder underneath her. She was flushed successfully in early April 2024, and bred back to calve at the end of January 2025. Her full sister is the reigning Supreme Champion Female in the First Lady Classic at Agribition for the Eaton family, and we have several milking sisters that we are very high on. Our plan is to continue to keep 171M at the side of her dam and showcase them throughout the fall. Here is your chance to get in on a unique pedigreed red female, and join us for what’s sure to be an exciting and fun fall run! We would like to reserve possession and the right to show 171M at the side of her dam until after Agribition 2024 at no additional costs.
LOTS 60 & 61: Our red program is something that we have strived to grow and improve over the last few years, and two of the main reasons we have been able to do so are the acquisitions of WFL Mountain View 4J and Mader Darlin 4H. It was definitely a no brainer mating for us and a mating that we have done several times over again in 2024. Darlin 4H is a past FNL high seller, triple crown winning Simmental female, and Supreme Champion at Farmfair International that we own with our friends at Twin Springs. She is one of the best red females we have ever laid eyes on and we can’t wait to build around her in the future. We think these two daughters are a great example of what she can do in production. 5M is a bigger framed, powerful heifer with a big sweeping rib cage that we have come to expect from this cow family. She’s smooth shouldered and still refined in the shape of her neck. 4M to us is a spitting image of her incredible dam. Moderate framed, huge bodied with a great sweep to her lower rib and flank, wide pinned and muscular from behind. Somehow she tacks this much power and muscle onto a very small, tidy front one third. She carries her head high around the pen and floats around with plenty of reach off both ends. One of our favorite traits about these two sisters, is how small they are in their teet size with plenty of spacing in between, similar to their dam. Mountain View unfortunately injured himself breeding this past spring, and we aren’t confident that he will be able to breed again, which will definitely limit the amount of offspring we will continue to market off him. Take this opportunity to invest in some elite, consistent red genetics
2018 AGRIBITION SUPREME
LOTS 62 & 63: This proven producer boasts an impressive pedigree both in the show ring and more importantly in production. Her full sister was crowned Canadian Western Agribition Supreme Champion female in 2018 for Blair.Ag. She demonstrates her breeding potential through her two daughters featured in this sale(30M)(57L). 6H is a soundly designed cow with ideal feet and a nearly perfect udder. She is bred back early to Four Mile, promising a quick return on investment. This cow combines exceptional genetics with practical, proven performance. Natural Law daughters will never be outdated and he continues to be a lethal cow maker in North America. When we decided we were selling her daughters
This moderate, stout heifer is clean-lined with excellent udder development. She is well balanced, yet powerful. Her soft hair adds to her appeal, and her structure is built for longevity. Sired by the 2023 Agribition Grand Champion bull Four Mile, she combines top-tier genetics with the kind of style and substance that will make her a front pasture cow.
2M is an impressive beast, boasting a powerful presence with her bold outline, stout build and remarkable hair coat. Her pretty head and captivating look make her a showstopper from every angle. Backed by a strong lineage, her maternal sisters have already made waves, with a high seller to Ter-Ron Farms/Wilbar Cattle Co. for $23,000 and others being successful producers for Dudgeon Cattle Co. and Chelsie Noble. This heifer brings big-league potential, whether for in the show ring or making a significant impact in the donor pasture. She’s poised to be a top-tier asset for any serious cattle operation.
This gorgeous daughter off the reigning CWA Champion Four Mile is a farm favorite and has been since late winter. Her powerful dam is a first-calving SAV Supercharger daughter, who has a textbook udder. She continues to impress more each day with her ideal lines, tremendous power, and substance. She has perfect teat placement and an overall look of a future power cow. 11M is set to be a must see on sale day and one we are awfully proud of.
This heifer has a captivating presence, she is refined and wedge shaped. 5M is massive bellied and soft haired. She features a long erect neck that she holds high on the move giving her that eye-catching look. Her full sister sold as the $62,500 pick of the heifer calves to G2 Cattle and Poplar Meadows Angus. Her dam, 27D, is just getting started with what promises to be a big-league production career. This heifer has the potential to be a fun and competitive show prospect with a promising future.
NATIONAL 0144
A carbon copy of her productive dam, this heifer hails from the same Lucy cow family as the feature heifer calf JJP 2M and they never miss. She has a moderate, cool look with a fault-free build, and she’s sound on the move with awesome hair. Her sire; Knife Point, is a bull we hold in high regard for his exceptional build, foot structure, libido, and overall look. Her dams full sisters were features in the first Evolution sale for $13,000 to Faith Collins and $11,000 to the Larre Family. Watch out for this one in the ring as a bred female.
This uniquely designed February show heifer is sleek fronted and clean chested. She’s robust through her center body, offering depth and capacity. Her dam from the world renowned Miss Essence cow family has an ideal udder. Her sire, Knife Point, is a moderate, well-balanced stud with flawless feet. This heifer is an ideal blend of eye-catching design and maternal power. We think she will be fun to show in the spring and summer Jr. events.
A sweetheart of a heifer, she is the first daughter offered from the crowd favorite JJP 8K female, purchased for $35,000 in Evolution Volume 2 by Blackfoot Angus. 28M showcases exceptional quality in both phenotype and genotype. She is densely made, big topped, and heavy muscled; with above average bone work and a high quality hoof. 8K’s influence is already proving valuable to both Blackfoot Cattle and our program. A flush-mate brother will be a feature in our spring bull sale. You can never have too many Beauty’s in your herd.
Offered with Blackfoot Angus
This stout female is long-spined with a powerful yet refined build. She stands out with excellent back leg and foot structure, ensuring long-term durability. Her neck attachment is clean and cool, complemented by a beautifully feminine head. Her pedigree speaks for itself, as she is out of a stunning donor cow from the renowned Evening Tinge family, known for producing cattle with flawless feet and udders. This heifer is a perfect combination of style and functionality.
This heifer offers a unique pedigree, with her dam hailing from the world-famous Blackcap Missie cow family, known for their style, structural integrity, and superior udder quality. Extremely quiet and easy to handle, she’s an ideal prospect for a first-year showman. With an awesome outline, sound structure, and an up-headed, long-bodied build, this heifer combines both functionality and eye appeal. Should make an awesome cow.

LOTS 73-74: We are still pretty new to the angus breed, but we have been trying to acquire some of the best genetics and cow families available. The dam of these two sisters is a past Angus Collection high seller and a favorite amongst our young cows here at the farm. She’s a long bodied female with a great udder and awesome feet. The mating to the late phenom Casino was one we have been excited about for some time. He has sired several show winners and high sellers throughout North America, and his semen becomes more rare each year. 129M is an attractive female whose body shape we really like. She’s big ribbed, wide pinned and has added width over her top. 133M is a long spined, very deep ribbed female who has a great hair coat. Both of these heifers are sound on the move and step down on a big solid foot. We couldn’t decide which one of these heifers we should keep, so we decided to offer both up for sale due to our large embryo inventory on their dam. A pair of sisters that are both a bit different, we look forward to hearing about which one is your pick.
