Encore cette année, la qualité sera au rendez-vous le 28 septembre à la ferme Gagnon. Nous avons personnellement fait une tournée de la majorité des consignataires cet été et cette édition sera probablement la meilleure au niveau de la profondeur.

Once again, Ferme Gagnon in Chenéville will host this special collaborative event on September 28th, where quality remains at the forefront. We have personally toured the majority of consignors this summer, and we feel this year’s sale offers the deepest, most unique selection thus far.

Pour cette 5ieme édition, nous aurons la dispersion du troupeau de Tryon duquel nous avons sélectionné les sujets les plus intéressants, dont la fameuse Tryon Gabi FF27U. Avec cette dispersion, vous aurez une offre vraiment variée, une combinaison d'anciennes et de nouvelles génétiques.

Nous travaillons de pair avec la famille Gagnon et ses consignataires afin de faire de cette journée un évènement à ne pas manquer année après année. Afin de rendre votre expérience la plus agréable possible, nous vous assistons pour le transport de vos animaux et ce peu importe où vous demeurez.

For this 5th edition, we will have something special with the dispersal of Tryon Simmentals. High profile females have been selected, including the famous Tryon Gabi FF27U. This dispersal will be an opportunity to add some outcross pedigrees, as this herd consists of a combination of old and new genetics. We work closely with the Gagnon family and their consignors to make this an event not to be missed year after year. In order to make your experience as pleasant as possible, we will assist you with transportation arrangements for your purchases, regardless of location.

Sa mère est une vache que nous avions achetée lors de la dispersion de Murray Farms il y a quelques années. Elle est toujours active dans le troupeau. La demi-sœur de Flower par Colossal a été vendue à Starwest Farms à la vente Eastern en 2015. Pol Flower présente un bon développement général, présente de la capacité, possède de bons pieds et membres en plus d’être acère et d’avoir une forte pigmentation. Elle a été saillie à Anchor D Imax le 29 mars 2019 pour la facilité de vêlage et pour conserver le gêne acère.

Even though polled animals are gaining popularity, it is still important to produce good breeding individuals. Flower stems from the crossing of Polled Future and Metro. Her dam is a cow that we purchased at the Murray Farms dispersion sale a few years ago. She is still active in the herd. Flower’s half-sister by Colossal was sold to Starwest Farms at the Eastern Sale in 2015. Pol Flower shows good overall development, she displays capacity, has good feet & legs in addition to being polled and having strong pigmentation. She was bred to Anchor D Imax on March 29, 2019, for calving ease and may have a chance to get an homozygous polled calf.

Flika est une femelle que nous avons passé près de garder pour notre troupeau. Elle présente toute les qualités que nous recherchons chez une femelle de reproduction : solide, facile d’entretien, bons pieds et membres, stature modérée, profonde et puissante. De plus, sa mère est une jeune vache qui présente un très bon pis et que nous croyons beaucoup dans son potentiel d’élevage. She comes from MRL Capone, a bull known for the quality of his females and that achieved very good results in our herd. On the maternal side can be found a Red Mountain daughter that we purchased at the Rainalta dispersal sale. Flika is a female that we almost kept for our herd. She displays all the qualities we are looking for: strength, easy care, good feet & legs, moderate stature, depth and power. Furthermore, her dam is a young cow that displays a very good udder and we strongly believe in her breeding potential. Elle est le veau naturel de Pol Roxy, notre donneuse d’embryons, qui a produit des sujets de grandes valeurs au fil des années. Son père, Arthur, est peut-être un peu moins connu au Canada, car il a été acheté par Jeff Sorenson aux USA pour 27 000$, mais tous ceux qui l’ont vu ont vraiment été impressionnés. Arthur est probablement le fils de Walker possédant le plus de performance que nous ayons produit. Nous sommes convaincus que 27F suivra les traces de ses parents et saura satisfaire les attentes de son nouveau propriétaire.

27F is a polled, dark red, powerful heifer with a ton of muscle. She is a natural daughter of Pol Roxy, our polled donor, who has produced high caliber offspring over the years. Her sire, Arthur, was an impressive Walker son to all who seen him, and was purchased by Jeff Sorenson in the US for $27,000. This is a unique opportunity to purchase a direct daughter, as his use in Canada has been fairly exclusive. Arthur probably has the most performance of any Walker son we have ever produced. We are confident that 27F will follow in her parents’ footsteps, and will meet the expectations of her new owner.

We bought Layla’s dam at The Source Sale a few years ago as an open heifer from the great program of Little Willow Creek in Saskatchewan. She has been a very good addition to our herd, and her 2019 heifer calf is one of our favorites. Layla should become a moderate, easy fleshing cow, just like her mother. She is bred to BLCC Mr Sheriff 23C, our bulletproof calving ease sire that we have used successfully on our first calf heifers for the last 4 years.

Elle provient directement du cœur de notre troupeau, étant une descendante de Ulena et une fille naturelle de notre donneuse d’embryons ETF 4X. On peut d’ailleurs dire que 14F est une copie conforme de sa mère, étant très profonde, facile d’entretien et possédant beaucoup de largeur. Nous sommes confiants que 14F a le potentiel de produire des taureaux de reproduction élite et des femelles sur qui on peut construire des familles de vaches. Cette taure élève nos standards de qualité que nous souhaitons atteindre et reproduire dans les prochaines années. Nous sommes très fiers (et aussi très tristes!) de vous l’offrir en septembre. It seems surreal this is the 5th edition of the Eastern Harvest Sale, an event we are so honoured to be part of! Each year we have been steadfast in our commitment to bring heifers from the top of their respective crops, but I’m not sure we have ever consigned a heifer quite like “Ms Stimulation”.

She comes directly from the heart of our herd, being from the Ulena cow family, and a natural daughter of our donor cow ETF 4X. If there has been a daughter that could be described as a carbon copy of 4X, 14F would certainly be the closest- wide based, easy fleshing, and naturally thick. We are confident in her potential to produce herd bulls, and is the type of female you can build cow families around. She has given us a new standard to try and duplicate, and we are proud (but also very sad!) to offer her come September. A video of 14F will be available for viewing on our website in mid-September.

After 6 calf crops of “Lenny” calves, we have become reliant on him to bring consistency and quality each year. We purchased 58E’s dam, Berri, from Cherry Creek Farm in Manitoba as a heifer calf, and were excited about the prospect of a “Lenny” daughter.

Berri is poised to become the foundation of a strong cow family for us, being very fertile and raising eye-catching daughters with lots of shape. 58E and her full sister, 38F, are the first two results of the “Lenny” combination, and we are impressed with how the cross complemented one another to produce daughters with great hair coats, strong udder quality, and overall balance. 59E is an Eastern Harvest baby, as we purchased her dam in the 2016 sale from Ferme BMS. Good temperament has always been a trait we place a great deal of emphasis on, and 59E is as easy going as they come. Her birth weight is indicative of her premature arrival, but it certainly hasn’t slowed her down, as she has continued to grow and mature with the rest. Moderate framed and feminine much like her dam, she is setting a correct udder and with the maternal strength in her pedigree, will develop into a productive cow. Extrêmement profonde et puissante, rouge foncé et avec les yeux bien marqués. Faith présente des pieds foncés et une conformation pour être facile d’entretien. Sa mère, Donovandale Caleigh, a un beau pis et une grande partie de la puissance de Faith provient de sa grand-mère DFM 22P. Le fait qu’elle soit issue de Sibelle Dirty Harry ne fait qu’ajouter au potentiel de cette jeune femelle. Nous croyons fermement qu’elle devrait être dans l’enclos des donneuses puisque des génisses comme elle ne sont pas légion. Les embryons de Faith ont été récoltés une fois pour évaluer si elle pouvait donner d’aussi bons résultats dans un programme de récolte que sa mère et sa grand-mère. Elle a produit 13 œufs de première qualité, réservés à l’usage de la ferme. Elle a été saillie au premier service le 10 avril 2019 à FGAF Guerrero.

Donovandale Faith has been my favorite since birth. She is the best heifer we have ever raised. Incredibly deep and self made, liver red with large goggles. Faith has a desired dark hoof and loose hide to be an easy fleshing female. Her dam, Donovandale Caleigh has a beautiful udder and a lot of Faith’s power has come through her grand-dam DFM 22P. Being a Sibelle Dirty Harry just adds to the marketability of this young lady. We definitely feel she needs to be in the flush pen as heifers like this do not come along often.

Faith was flushed once to assess if she would work in a flush program as well as her Dam and Grand-dam. She produced 13 number one eggs for farm use only. Bred back first service on April 10th, 2019 to FGAF Guerrero.

This colourful, polled Worldwide heifer is out of MLL BONNIE LASS 18B, a cow that we purchased at the first Eastern Harvest Sale in 2015 from Maxwell Land & Livestock. Surprisingly born a little early, she has grown into a beautifully structured, long bodied heifer, with lots of power and eye appeal.

Lors de notre visite à la vente de Double Bar D en Saskatchewan, nous savions déjà que c’était notre préféré, et nous avons vraiment été impressionnés lorsque nous l’avons aperçu. C’était « LE » taureau que nous recherchions depuis très longtemps. Manchester est un taureau acère, avec une musculature naturelle vraiment impressionnante, beaucoup de profondeur en plus d’être très docile. C’est vraiment un type de taureau facile d’entretien qui produira des sujets faciles à garder, même dans les conditions climatiques les plus difficiles. Ce taureau a un solide pedigree ! Autant du coté paternel que du coté maternel, on y retrouve des vaches de fondation ou des taureaux qui ont marqué la race Simmental. Nous offrons 2 lots de 5 doses chaque. He’s the kind of bull that will produce easy keeping cattle which work in any kind of harsh conditions.
